What's really gotta hurt is

What's really gotta hurt is that a few years ago Ryan Mundy found a Grad School program at WVU that UM doesn't offer.

If you don't know his GPA at

If you don't know his GPA at Alabama, what do you base your statement that he could not get into grad school at UM?  Wishful thinking?

Kind of self deprecating when you say OSU offered you a schollie in a master's program yet you slam them for accepting anyone.  I'd like to think you must have had something on the ball.

"they also win like an SEC

"they also win like an SEC team..."

Not if you talk to the SEC trolls.

I have to agree, Magnus.  It

I have to agree, Magnus.  It seems to me that Carr's recruiting classes were rated higher than Ohio State's classes more often than not.  Tressel just seemed to have had his number.

Zok, ease up on the doom and

Zok, ease up on the doom and gloom.  Penn St is badly hamstrung by scholarship reductions.  They should be able to field a decent 1st string, but it will likely have a few holes, and they will be lacking depth.  There is no reason to finish behind them.

Also, Hoke made a good move bringing in Nussmeier to replace Borges.  If nothing else, play calling is bound to improve.  I still can't figure out why Borges would routinely have his TE chip block to assist Lewan.  Of all the guys on that O-Line that needed help pass blocking, Lewan probably needed it the least.  Also, the guy was so hung up on always doing the unexpected, he often ignored the obvious.  There are times when you just need to impose your will on the other team.  Borges rarely did that.

"Who is our Bagman?"

I have a theory about Bagmen.  The stronger the local economy, the more succesful that school's bagmen are.  Quite simply, the bagmen are more flush during strong economic times, and there may be more of them.  For example, when oil was booming in Texas, the Horns were killing it.  It only follows that when the local economy sucks like it does Michigan, there are fewer, less well endowed bagmen.

BTW, cool picture.

You put a Block M on the hat

You put a Block M on the hat of a USC Trojan?

Crash, you're saying that UM

Crash, you're saying that UM went after this guy, with Nussmeier knowing him personally after having coached him for the past two years, because he sucks?  That UM offered him because they don't want him?  Man, those are some sour ass grapes.

Get with the times,

Get with the times, Gladstone.  Ohio State raised its undergrad admissions standards, including for athletes, over a decade ago.  The Buckeyes are much closer in that regard than you think.  In fact, they miss out on potential recruits every year because the OSU Admissions Dept won't allow the coaches to offer a scholarship.  Potential recruits who end up at other B1G schools or BCS schools because they could not meet OSU's standards.  Javon Ringer is a perfect example.  Yes, there was a time when Ohio State would accept anyone with a high school diploma and a pulse.  Getting out with a degree was the trick...that has never been easy.  But those days of low incomming standards are long gone.

As for Ohio, I don't think the Bobcats' standards are quite so high.

What do the Bobcats have to

"This was a simple recruiting battle that Michigan just plain lost to Ohio."

What do the Bobcats have to do with any of this?

That type of attrition is not

That type of attrition is not unusual following a coaching change.  Especially when the new staff has a different style or play than the previous staff.  The real problem is that it happened when RichRod arrived too, so it is the second roster purging in a 5-6 year span.  Stuff like that leaves a program in permanent rebuilding mode.

Mr. "We ain't come here to

Mr. "We ain't come here to play school" was a true Freshman who made an incredibly stupid tweet.  Yes, it was embarrassing for all Buckeyes, but if you think that is the norm in Columbus, you are sadly mistaken.  Just so you know, that guy is a Sophomore now, and is exceeding a 3.0 accum.  It is safe to say his comment drew a lot of scrutiny from Urbn Meyer.  So far, he has held up well under that burden.

I also highly doubt that Lindsay is a "we don't come to play school" type.  After all, he did graduate within 4 years.  If he hadn't, he would be a 5th year Senior at Alabama next season.

Funny how he was good enough to be wanted in Ann Arbor, but since he chose to continue his studies in Columbus he is suddenly not good enough for you.

"in fact has a value set more

"in fact has a value set more akin to Ohio"

What does that MAC school in Athens, OH have to do with this story?
