I think that is exactly what we will have with Borges, and Hoke wil help develop to. The roll out passes Denard did last year were my favorite plays in the RR offense.It will get denard thinking pass first but if it is not there keep the feet moving.
..As for Mattison, people are saying " If Mattison can make a terrible defense average we will make some noise." But I am excited, I think we are going to see a pretty nice and noticeable improvement in the defense.
Hoke has openly stated he see's some kids quitting the program because it will be too tough, a different system, or any other thing from the list of reasons. It won't be our big name guys, but rather guys that the coaching staff feel aren't working out, although they will never openly state it. This happens with any coach transition. There was already that rumor about Brown (i think?), going home and such...
....I'm just saying, don't worry about last year, dont be surpised if come next year we have more than the 16 scholarships we have now to hand out.
..And I'm sure Brady Hoke would have answered "No, I don't want this kid."....He is a new caoch, with an unproven resume, His first goal was to retain EVERYBODY. Brady Hoke wasn't even sure if Denard wanted to stay, you think he would tell DB to let Tate go before having talked with Denard???
...I think, the issue with Tate goes far further than a few incompletes. Yes, while he is only 19 and will make mistakes, i believe him moving on is for the best and I wish him all the luck at Miami U. Not to mention, Tates family was requesting that intial sit down during the Coach Crisis 2011...that could of added to the reason why Tate feels he was ignored, when in reality DB just had other obligations, to get a coach.
..then I am ok with it. Don't get me wrong I would love the kid blue, I liked his attitude toward continuing tradition, but we have a bunch of young Db's from lsat year who got valueable game experience. (No they didn't look all the great, but there were some bright spots through out the season, add that to the new 4-3 and coach them up with mattison and Hoke). And we have 3 Solid Db's for this class in Countess Howell and probably Taylor.
If he wants to transfer, best of luck to him where ever he goes, but realistically we could use that scholarship for this monster midwest class were about to bring in, that Hoke is already hitting hard and will only get better when we win some games next season.
I want him, how nice would that be to have that power in the pro offense. Couple years down Chris Barnette starting with another big TE, and this big kid 6'4 240 playing WR. Ha
Dan Mullen Is MSU's coach, the administration is very excited about him for the future, and they are anticipating it to be a very long future. He has gone on record saying he is happy there and has no intentions of leaving, even if brandon ups that $$ amount.
As educated as we all think we are, if those in charge acted soley on the voices of the fans, all programs would be in shambles. It is the job of the heads, to step back and observe everything and make the best business decision.
...having said that, if DB could hurry up and make a decision that would restore order to my life, no matter who it is.
