|43 weeks 5 days ago||Well...||
That worked out well...for Harbaugh.
|1 year 16 weeks ago||HUGE||
Huge pickup for us. Top Center prospect on our board, should have been a long drawn out battle with OSU.
|1 year 31 weeks ago||I agree||
Yeah, I agree...I bet there are a lot more than 2,500. The problem is people like me...who have never gone to one of these meetings.
|1 year 35 weeks ago||If we lose all three...||
If we lose all three, then things get interesting.
Can Levert make the jump next year that Stuaskas made this year (or even, say, 75% of the jump)?
Can Irvin replace GRIII?
Can Chatman/Doyle/Donnal step it up?
And is Horford really a starter?
I think if we lose all 3, we are probably a 20 win team, maybe a 6 seed or so next year. Not bad, all things considered.
And if any of the sophs return..that is just a cherry on top.
|1 year 35 weeks ago||Other sources||
Other sources have shot this down. Let this rumor die quickly.
|1 year 37 weeks ago||Just for the record||
For the record, what was our stats last year?
|1 year 42 weeks ago||I don't care that much...||
..because regardless, I can't seem him at UM.
|1 year 47 weeks ago||No way.||
I refuse to believe this.
|1 year 50 weeks ago||LOL||
My freshman year at UM...Desmond and I had a poli sci class together.
|2 years 3 weeks ago||No idea||
No idea why he is retiring. I am a political wonk, and this is definitely a bit of a surprise. He would be favored to keep his seat next year.
|2 years 11 weeks ago||Re: ND||
Brian here did a post a couple years ago how ND was perfect...a school that has big prestige, but that we generally dominate.
Going to be tough to replace that combination.
|2 years 15 weeks ago||Meh.||
With two weeks left, should be fine.
|2 years 17 weeks ago||2014?||
Are we sure this is a 2015 guy?
|2 years 17 weeks ago||Bama lock.||
If he is in AA (and it looks like he is), it is probably because he was happening to visit anyway. But...weird.
|2 years 18 weeks ago||Shouldn't surprise||
Shouldn't surprise anyone. That rumor has been out for a while. Basically it is Fournette or bust, with Ballage being still recruited as a RB/athlete.
|2 years 18 weeks ago||As for..||
As for the third transgression, sounds like a 2013 Freshman is suspended or something...may have to do with a drinking charge. It sounds minor.
|2 years 25 weeks ago||For more background...|
|2 years 26 weeks ago||Re: Winovich||
Couple comments make it sound like even if he does commit, he would be 'soft'.
Not true. One reason for his hesitancy is his school really hates decommitments...so Chase, if committed, likely is committed for the long haul.
|2 years 26 weeks ago||1 hour||
Agree with the above...but even at Amsterdam, a 1 hour lay over is tough. Don't be shocked if you miss it.
|2 years 29 weeks ago||Um...right||
Look, I am an avowed Webber fan, have said so many times.
But Webber owes the Univ an apology. Any offense the university did to him was minor in comparison.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||Yes, he is eligible, but...||
Ryan is eligible for the medical redshirt. But it is far from automatic. Furthermore, it gets sticky...if the NCAA thinks he is ready to play this year, they may dismiss the application for that reason too.
So if he is fit to play, he is better off playing.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||Yes, please||
There is really no downside to this, assuming we have schollie space. This is a no brainer.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||Don't feel that bad.||
I actually don't feel that bad. I know, I should, but I don't. I think this is the first step to bigger and better things.
My gut tells me that only Burke is going to leave. THJ did not have a good tournament...would he even be a first rounder?
I think we are going to be pretty good next year. How good depends on how fast our freshmen develop.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||Easy...||
|2 years 33 weeks ago||Feel your pain||
Working at 5 AM this morning, and tomorrow too. Tomorrow is going to really suck to recover after the game...much more if we dont win.
But as for productivity...yeah, today is going to be like the day before Christmas vacation, me thinks.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||Pathetic.||
|2 years 34 weeks ago||I was...||
Near the tear gas in 1992.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||Pallante||
Is a greyshirt.
Yeah, give him a year or two in Mattison's system...he could really be an impact pickup.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||Re: Chris Webber||
I have said this before, but I think it bares repeating.
I entered Michigan in the fall of 1991 like Webber and the Fab Five. I grew up in Southfield, MI, and had a lot of friends at Country Day when Webber was there....so we knew each other. I would not say we would be called friends, but definitely acquaintenances. And I had met Jalen Rose before I even knew he was going to Michigan.
We had common friends in Ann Arbor as well, and I had been to several parties with members of the Fab 5.
When Webber was there, he lived the life of a poor student. I know now he took money while there, but he was not driving around in a Cadillac or throwing money around. That simply was not the reality.
What this letter says, and what many of us that were around at that time, is NOT to excuse what Webber did. He broke the rules, no question. But in hindsight, look at his punishment, and then look at others that have done similar things. Did Webber really commit a crime greater than Reggie Bush, Cam Newton, and some of these others? And did they ever suffer as much from this as he has?
So to say that Webber should not be 'punished' is silly. He has been punished. In fact, I would argue he and the University of Michigan were punished far more than equivalent offenses elsewhere.
The question really is, can we at some point forgive? 20 years have gone by. TWENTY YEARS. Look at the people in society we have forgiven. This week, there was news that a former terrorist partially responsible for the deaths of three men in the 1960s was given a prestigious professorship at Columbia University. We can forgive murder but not this?
We need to move on. Webber should apologize for what he did, but UM should accept his apology and bring him back into the fold. That is the only way this episode ever ends, and the circle is complete.
|2 years 34 weeks ago||I hear...||
I hear John Wooden's great great granddaughter was next on their list.
|2 years 35 weeks ago||WOW||
I didn't think it was possible to downgrade from Howland, but I am pretty sure this might be it.
|2 years 35 weeks ago||Tom Crean||
Tom Crean...coach of the year.
|2 years 35 weeks ago||Yes.||
Has any of the candidates had a signature game like this? I think not. Burke was already the odds on favorite...this just insures it.
|2 years 36 weeks ago||I think Nate Silver or someone...||
Someone calculated the chance of getting a bracket 100% right at 1 in 7 trillion.
|2 years 36 weeks ago||AWESOME||
Really excited about that class.
|2 years 36 weeks ago||Not the best bracket...||
but not the worst.
This is a winnable bracket for Michigan. The only thing better would have been OSU's bracket, but that would have been on the road.
I still think UM is 'high risk, high reward'. They could lose the first game, if not careful, but if they get on a run, they can beat anyone. There is nobody in the country that we can't beat on a good day.
|2 years 37 weeks ago||No doubt||
We suck on the road, and are good at home. We want to be a 3 in Auburn Hills.
|2 years 37 weeks ago||OSU||
OSU people thought he was a heavy lean. Universally.
|2 years 37 weeks ago||Um...||
|2 years 37 weeks ago||Reader alternatives||
Here is a nice article about the most popular alternatives.
|2 years 37 weeks ago||LOL||
Very, very true.
|2 years 37 weeks ago||As for the weather...||
As for the weather, Columbus is a LOT warmer than Michigan. It is not even close. This year has been relatively snowy, and I had to shovel...once. It is only the third time I really shoveled in my 6 years here.
|2 years 37 weeks ago||Columbus||
I have lived in Columbus (specifically, Dublin) since 2007.
Columbus is really a decent town, especially if you have family. Housing is cheap and high quality, good schools, etc. The job climate is good here, and the economy never got as bad as other places in Ohio. Pretty decent choices of restaurants, shopping, a decent bar scene, etc.
As for Buckeye fans...yeah, they are as bad as you can imagine. But I ALWAYS wear my Michigan gear. Everywhere. And you would be surprised at how many 'Go Blue' references I get. There are a fair number of us down here.
So, yeah, it sucks when we lose, it is awesome when we win. I wouldn't let the Buckeye thing be the deciding factor though.
Depending on where 1 hour north you are working (up 23? 71?) the northern suburbs are the nicest suburbs, and there are a lot of nice choices for housing.
|2 years 37 weeks ago||Woohoo!||
|2 years 38 weeks ago||Absolutely.||
I am older than a lot of you; not old enough to remember Cazzie by a long stretch.
But Burke is probably the best point guard in Michigan history. And a top 10 all time player. Hell, could you imagine if this was the old days, and he stayed for four years, how good he could be?
Now, whether Burke is top 5 all time, and the next five, really depends on how the tournament goes. That is where GOAT make their mark.
|2 years 39 weeks ago||Win out.||
Win out, then lets talk about seeding.
|2 years 40 weeks ago||RB||
We are recruiting him at RB, and that is his preferred position.
|2 years 40 weeks ago||Awesome||
I think we will be in this race until the end. Though ND will have a lot to say.
|2 years 40 weeks ago||What?||
Tressel was a terrible offensive coach. Why the hell would he be the OC?
|2 years 41 weeks ago||Best?||
The best is to look for referrals. Everything else is a poor indicator of a good doctor.
|2 years 41 weeks ago||Campbell||
Campbell is a potential monster.
Too bad Artavis Scott can't make it up.
|2 years 41 weeks ago||HELL||
WELCOME BRYAN! Can anchor our DL.
|2 years 41 weeks ago||Fred Jackson on Shane...||
Fred Jackson on Shane...
"Like God, but taller."
|2 years 42 weeks ago||This||
This is the reason moron fans should not get upset by every little story. Because as often as not, the story is largely made up by moron reporters.
|2 years 42 weeks ago||Oh...||
|2 years 42 weeks ago||Let me tell you a story.||
Let me tell you a story. When I first went to Michigan, I was a Ohio State fan. I moved from Ohio in my teens, so still considered my loyalties to be with OSU.
You know how long that lasted? The end of my first football game at Michigan Stadium.
|2 years 42 weeks ago||In other extremely surprising news...||
...the sky is blue.
He was a cancer in the organization.
|2 years 43 weeks ago||Excellent.||
Commence beginning of the end of the Poggi panic.
|2 years 43 weeks ago||QB||
I think Speight may not be in my top five even.
Cornwell and Henderson are much higher at this point.
|2 years 43 weeks ago||Well...||
Well, I know how Jalen feels...I was in his class. Ugh.
|2 years 43 weeks ago||This||
fits with what I have heard. There is nothing really to even confirm that it was an official visit. I guess we will know all we need to know after Mattison visits.
|2 years 43 weeks ago||Still believe||
...still believe, no matter what, GRIII stays for one more year.
|2 years 44 weeks ago||Never||
Never thought we had a real chance at him. Fine by me.
|2 years 44 weeks ago||I can think of many.||
Justin Fargas (OK, he did live up to the billing but elsewhere)
Jamal Crawford (left too early)
Kevin Gaines (what a disaster)
|2 years 44 weeks ago||Danwillhor...||
That is too much common sense. You need to panic more.
|2 years 44 weeks ago||People..||
Chill. There is NOTHING NEW HERE. It is all the same talk.
|2 years 44 weeks ago||Glenn Robinson||
That was my pick too. He really would have made that era of Michigan among the greats in college history.
|2 years 44 weeks ago||Um...||
|2 years 44 weeks ago||Kiffin||
Self destructing as anyone with a brain could have predicted.
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Webb....||
I have said this before...first, why get excited about a kid a year away from NSD? Please.
Second, don't be surprised if this kid wants to take visits, especially with the likes of LSU and Alabama come calling.
Third, if he does end up at OSU, so what? It does suck not to nail down a good recruit from a pipeline, but it is far from catastrophic.
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Well||
Nice pickup. I preferred Hunt, but if the coaches like Samuelson, fine by me.
Welcom Dan. OL RULES.
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Re:||
Yup, I was at that game too...
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Meh||
Glad we didn't go too hard after this kid, first of all.
Second, we better pray Jaylon Smith stays with ND...otherwise, his #2 is OSU.
|2 years 46 weeks ago||My response||
ESPN, being ESPN, why pay attention?
|2 years 46 weeks ago||But...but...but...||
the Auburn site said he was a Auburn lean?
|2 years 46 weeks ago||So...||
we are supposed to freak out because a recruit who said he was taking more visits...is taking more visits?
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Nah...||
Auburn is actually more delusional than Notre Dame. Really...trust me.
|2 years 46 weeks ago||No idea||
No idea if this is true or not, and won't know until Green says so.
That said, there is no fan base as delusional as Auburn.
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Hunt||
Hunt is visiting this weekend. Basically they are giving Hunt first option.
|2 years 46 weeks ago||Rumor||
Anyone hear the reason he deommitted is he was supposed to get early entry, but they gave it to McQuay instead, and that he couldnt enroll until the summer?
|2 years 46 weeks ago||The right poll rank||
That is appropriate for what we accomplished.
Things did not break our way all year. We lost Stonum, an OL, and the Fitz. Then Countess went down. We didn't get any breaks...basically all the close games other than MSU went against us. Then Denard got hurt, and we moved our best WR to QB. That is a tough slog.
I am optimistic going forward though.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Wow.||
At this point in the season, it is quite amazing how talented and well coached this team appears.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||And...||
no one should be surprised. Well, maybe a little surprised he chose USC over FSU, but whatever. Good luck to him.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Foster and LaRue||
Supposedly there is some interest from both. I would be shocked at Foster...lot of bad rumors around him, wonder if the coaches want that problem. As for Larue, he has a little interest, also in ND, but I will believe it when he actually visits campus.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Twitter...||
Kugler tweeted something positive about Hunt yesterday.
I think Hunt is very interested, and I think he is on top of the coaches list too. He is my personal favorite for our 6th OL.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Gorgeous Borges||
I have to say, he did redeem himself quite a bit. If we can get our OL into order next season, we will be ok.
Still SMH at the OSU game though.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Borges||
BORGES, BORGES, BORGES...
I have little or no faith in him using Denard. So I say we lose 21-14.
|2 years 48 weeks ago||#scraps||
|2 years 49 weeks ago||No way||
No way would Burke not go first among the Michigan guys. And I bet you that McGary, though very raw, would go pretty high.
|2 years 49 weeks ago||TY||
He screwed up, took responsibility...that is what growing up is all about.
Wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
|2 years 50 weeks ago||Isn't...||
Isn't Wile a punter? I think so. I think we are ok.
|2 years 50 weeks ago||Magnus...||
You may know better, but do you think Lacy rescheduled because of Dawson? Meaning they may think Dawson will commit, which means they don't want to waste their time right now?
|2 years 50 weeks ago||Unreal.||
Garmon was a guy I really liked coming out of high school. Too bad it didn't work out for him.
|2 years 50 weeks ago||Meh||
I only care about kids playing for Michigan.
|2 years 51 weeks ago||Problem||
The problem is the definition of 'worked'.
I don't think Hoke's policy is to insure every player becomes a Wolverine. Hoke is trying to insure that the promise kept by him and the kid are true...that is all. And if kids waver, so be it...and if they come back fully committed, all the better.
|2 years 51 weeks ago||Alvarez||
Alvarez is frankly the one that makes the most sense. Let the coordinators do their think and Barry just providing oversight.
|2 years 51 weeks ago||Rumor||
The rumor is, even from USC fans, that he was pushed out. They weren't really even apologetic about it.
|2 years 51 weeks ago||I wonder...||
if he will stay at Cincy? I mean, let us be honest...neither of those jobs are great.
|2 years 51 weeks ago||So...||
Bielema, who is about as classic as a Big 10 smash mouth football coach, is going to the SEC...to do what exactly?
I will be shocked if he is still there four years from now. What an idiotic move.
|2 years 51 weeks ago||Oh...||
Are buckeye fans mad. They thought for sure Braxton would get invited.
|2 years 52 weeks ago||Moreover...||
These bowls want to make money. No bowl, unless forced to, will take Northwestern over Michigan unless there is extenuating circumstances.
|2 years 52 weeks ago||Yeah...||
I really thought he would end up at Purdue.
|3 years 15 hours ago||Remember...||
Conley was a diamond in the rough too...OSU didn't even look his way before we offered him.
|3 years 15 hours ago||LB||
We have offered several LB in the last couple weeks, starting with Reschke.
I think we are losing a LB, probably not Ryan; more likely one of the old redshirt freshman.
|3 years 1 day ago||Awesome||
Great move by them.
|3 years 1 day ago||Oh boy||
I saw this coming but thought it would take much longer.
|3 years 2 days ago||Well..||
As long as the coaches are good with it, so am I. Dawson didn't act very mature, but he is a 17 year old kid, and our coaches should treat him as such. Giving him a second chance is the right thing to do.
|3 years 2 days ago||Yup...||
My mistake...not H back. Had a brain fart.
|3 years 2 days ago||Shallman||
Would be a perfect H back...I think that is where they want him, unless he continues to grow.
|3 years 3 days ago||Well...||
OSU looks good, but Duke looks tired. They are lucky to be down only 8.
|3 years 3 days ago||What the hell...||
Does Louisville add to the ACC?
|3 years 4 days ago||If true||
is Bellomy hurt more than we thought?
|3 years 6 days ago||Re: talent||
I totally agree about our OL talent...that is why I think, even if we lose Lewan, we will probably be better next year. Yes, I know, we will be playing a bunch of first year starters, but I think most of them are more talented than the guys that we have starting now. And I think trading Mags for Lewan will not be a huge dropoff everyone thinks.
WR are going to be ok, I think especially with the new guys coming up. Even at RB, I think we will be ok, though I would love to have Green...I think he is a gamechanger.
|3 years 6 days ago||Frankly...||
Frankly, I don't think talent is our problem. For the first time in YEARS, I felt our talent level was basically on par with OSU. You guys disagree?
Simply put, yesterday we were out coached.
|3 years 1 week ago||Please....||
This happens whenever students rush the field, and go crazy. The first job is to worry about safety...they can shake hands whenever.
|3 years 1 week ago||Easy...||
Ferentz is incompetent.
|3 years 1 week ago||Well...||
That is just mean ;-)
|3 years 1 week ago||Reality check||
The reality is, the Big 10 DOES NOT CARE IF RUTGERS OR MARYLAND REBUILD.
All they are interested in is the fact that there are enough fans there to demand universal access to BTN, which means tens of millions of dollars. Along with future TV contracts, that makes this worthwhile.
So football-wise, we diluted the conference, in order to make more money.
|3 years 1 week ago||Simply put...||
I believe in Beilein. None of these recruits bother me anymore.
|3 years 1 week ago||Clearly...||
he is going to commit to Michigan. Now that he gets to play Rutgers and Maryland once every six years, what else is there left to debate?
|3 years 1 week ago||Rutgers||
Rutgers frankly is not a bad expansion candidate. Basically the equivalent of a state school, academically strong, although their athletics are mediocre. They add just enough of the east coast markets to be valuable.
I am just against expansion is all.
|3 years 1 week ago||I am against expansion, but...||
If we are definitely going to expand, geography matters less than improving the conference both athletically and academically. Ga Tech would do that far more than Maryland or Rutgers. I would add Rutgers to get the NYC and Philly markets, but don't see the upside to Maryland at all.
|3 years 1 week ago||Agreed||
Georgia Tech would be a boon. Great academic school, expand the market into Atlanta, great football tradition.
I could get behind that.
|3 years 2 weeks ago||Heh||
Give Saban a month to game plan, and he will destroy the Irish.
|3 years 2 weeks ago||Quite possible..||
That said, after seeing K state and Oregon, what makes ND so bad?
Bama would crush them though.
|3 years 2 weeks ago||Well...||
I don't know if 'regretted' is the right word, but I left the famous Michigan/Colorado game with the Kordell Stewart hail mary earlier.
Almost drove off the road when the final play was announced on the radio.
|3 years 4 weeks ago||Sparty NO!||
Sparty being Sparty. Ugh.
|3 years 6 weeks ago||That sucks||
I wish Dawson the best.
I am not surprised we lost someone in the class...just surprised that it was Dawson.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||Over reaction||
Look, our DL isn't going to be great, but they are probably OK. They were facing potentially FOUR all Americans. We don't even have 1 all american on our DL. We won't face anything like that again all year.
|3 years 13 weeks ago||Meh.||
Isaac looks pretty weak right now. At most it is going to be CAT 1 when it hits, and it might not be a hurricane.
If you don't like driving in rain, sometimes heavy, drive around. Otherwise, ignore it.
|3 years 15 weeks ago||May add another...||
We may be able to get another spot. If you have early enrollees, you can take up to 28 (3 early)
|3 years 17 weeks ago||Well...||
Living in columbus this interview would mix several of my least favorite things...I think I will pass.
|3 years 17 weeks ago||Wow.||
Kudos to the OP. Because this is the most thought provoking post I have seen in a long time. I have to agree...i am not big on 'claiming' titles...but this one has merit.
|3 years 18 weeks ago||Not sure...||
Not sure if Webb going to UNC counts.
But this list is probably going to include the bulk of the class.
As for Michigan...I don't think any of these guys are guys we are looking at.
|3 years 18 weeks ago||Many of these things..||
Many of these are not going to happen.
A TV ban, for example...that is ludicrous. So when OSU plays PSU, they won't show it?? Really?
Now, you want to prevent any TV dollars going to PSU? Hell, fine by me.
I think it is going to be a huge schollie ban, a huge financial penalty, and a bowl ban for a few years.
|3 years 18 weeks ago||Well||
I honestly don't care how harsh the penalty is, they deserve it.
As for the players...could the NCAA screw them any more, if the rumors are true? 1 month before the season starts? Freshman are arriving, Seniors are getting ready to play their last season...many of these kids may never play football again.
|3 years 19 weeks ago||Well..||
That was anticlimactic.
|3 years 20 weeks ago||Columbus||
I have lived in Cbus for five years now. I have lived in the past in Flint, NYC, Minneapolis, Chicago, Washington DC, and grew up in Detroit.
All I can say about Columbus is it is ok. It is far better than Cleveland or Detroit, there is no comparison. The economy was decent here even in the recession. The city is fairly well run, and they have a pretty solid educated class here.
The biggest drawback is Buckeye fans.
But as a place to live, it is better than many of the places I have been.
|3 years 25 weeks ago||Hmmm....||
Ohio State offers McCray...and he drops.
|3 years 28 weeks ago||Wow||
Is this confirmed? I had not heard that. It would be a coup to get him to visit.
|3 years 28 weeks ago||Deveon Smith||
Smith is an excellent back. But like other schools (OSU, USC), if you need RBs, you don't just take one. USC is on the verge of taking THREE this year alone, with limited scholarships. That should tell you all you need to know about how to recruit RBs.
|3 years 28 weeks ago||Well...||
1. Do we need one? No. Do we want one? Yes.
2. I think Green in is their next choice, but they aren't very optimistic about him.
3. Clearly, they had doubts about Isaac once he decided not to visit.
4. Everything I have heard of Wilkins is he is similar to Isaac, but doesn't have the same burst of speed.
The biggest problem with Wilkins is he keeps saying he wants to stay south. I think this is going to be a long shot.
|3 years 31 weeks ago||Meh...||
A lot of talk about very little. The prosecutor would be stupid to move forward too far in this case. It is barely a misdemeanor.
|3 years 31 weeks ago||Cool...||
I thought it was strange when I heard FSU visited and we didn't. Hoke doesn't miss opportunities like that.
|3 years 32 weeks ago||This||
I have not seen a news report yet.
|3 years 32 weeks ago||Bold prediction||
Russell Bellomy will start every game this year.
|3 years 33 weeks ago||Good for him.||
Congrats...I wish the kid the best.
|3 years 33 weeks ago||Please...||
Kill this thread now.
|3 years 33 weeks ago||Well||
I understand the banners.
But not recognizing the other four members of that group, who did nothing wrong, is also unfair. They were, as far as we can tell, model student athletes and have been good citizens after they left. Why should they be punished?
Forget the banners, and forget Webber. The other guys deserve to be rewarded for good behavior.
|3 years 33 weeks ago||RIP||
Met him when I was at Michigan back, I believe, in 1993. Have a picture with him. Awesome guy, big Michigan fan.
|3 years 34 weeks ago||Ali/Frazier||
Ali and Frazier became friends late in life.
That by itself shows it can't be #1.
|3 years 34 weeks ago||Well..||
If he is gone, I wish him the best.
But the same why I 'wished' Morris good luck, I don't think Trey goes before the 40th pick or so. He is hurting himself longterm. Hope I am wrong...but when is the last time we were wrong?
|3 years 34 weeks ago||Yup||
Most likely. Wonder what changed.
|3 years 34 weeks ago||MORON||
|3 years 35 weeks ago||Morris||
Morris would be a great pickup. He was really interested in us before the Walton commitment.
|3 years 35 weeks ago||Ah...||
So, so envious.
|3 years 36 weeks ago||Insane||
Insane that we were so excited about him, and if he committed today it would almost be an afterthought. Crazy.
|3 years 37 weeks ago||TNT||
TNT lets you stream, you just have to log in with your cable provider.
|3 years 37 weeks ago||Well||
Good luck to him.
|3 years 37 weeks ago||Match day||
One of the happiest days of my life. Good luck to you guys!
|3 years 37 weeks ago||I wonder...||
If the coaches didn't impress this upon them. I have heard of no official rule, like Urban did at Ohio, but it is smarter to avoid the whole issue.
|3 years 37 weeks ago||Lame.||
Lame. But maybe because I actually know the guy.
|3 years 37 weeks ago||RBs||
First, we will see if Ty Isaac takes a pass this week. I am sure he was told that we might not be able to wait to take someone. I think we would take Isaac no matter what, even late, but he has hinted that he wants to be the only RB in the class. It is sort of a game of chicken...the coaches are not forcing him to commit, but basically are making it clear that they can't wait forever either.
Deveon Smith is my favorite of the rest...power back, would fit into the system nicely. I would actually be surprised if he didn't commit soon.
Green is a great back, but no way he commits at this point in the process.
|3 years 38 weeks ago||Well||
No surprise...except to Buckeye fans.
O'Brien is putting together a nice little class there...amazingly, the third best class after us and Ohio.

Title is an epic FAIL.
|3 years 39 weeks ago||McCray||
Ohio is simply taking a strategy of offering their 'national' recruits before good state players. I think we are seeing that with McCray and others.
I wonder what chance we have, with him committing the week after he visits us. No idea what this means.
|3 years 40 weeks ago||All reports...||
All reports are that Funk was selling Kugler on playing Center, and he was excited about the prospect.
Kugler appears to be our OC of the future.
|3 years 40 weeks ago||Tough question||
Really tough question.
I was at Michigan during that era. In fact, I knew Webber, casually. So I have a lot of nostalgia for that era.
That said....Webber has made it tough to forgive him. If he had come out, revealed everything, explained his mistakes...I think it would be easier to forgive and forget. The other guys have all been honest about their time...but Chris simply can't do it. He feels betrayed, but doesn't see that betrayal works both ways.
So I don't know. Even now. I think overall, the fan base is ambivalent.
|3 years 41 weeks ago||More DL||
Like a DE like WDE...depends how he develops. The kid is a great athlete, but needs to redshirt.
|3 years 41 weeks ago||Heh||
Glad you didn't take offense...my initial post kind of...well, just ignored you, didn't mean to...LOL.
|3 years 41 weeks ago||EXCELLENT||
Congrats. You are awesome, a nice addition after losing Tom VH. No offense to Ace ;-)
And first Self reported commitment ever...nice.
|3 years 41 weeks ago||Dawson||
My friends in Texas said it was just a matter of time before Texas offered too. That is what made me feel this kid was the real deal.
|3 years 42 weeks ago||awesome||
That was a nice flash to the past...
|3 years 42 weeks ago||Living in Cbus||
Living here in Cbus, it is surprising how many Michigan fans there are. Definitely a small number, but considering the fanaticism down here, more than you would expect.
|3 years 42 weeks ago||This kid||
Is really good...saw him play last year. He reminds me of Junior a little, actually. He is definitely a top 20 player in OH, in my mind.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Diamond is not a prima donna||
He is simply a kid that doesn't want to play for Michigan.
His loss...time to move on. I am moving on with a few beers. All is well.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Diamond...||
Diamond is most likely not coming here...people should not get their hopes up.
As for Kozan, I know insiders are saying our chances are improving...but if Diamond goes to Arkansas instead of Auburn, wouldn't be surprised to see Kozan go to Auburn.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Yeah...||
And those numbers worked out great for us in the Armani Reeves chase...
|3 years 43 weeks ago||So basically...||
we are exactly where we started the Diamond recruiting saga a year ago? Brilliant.
Well, at least one way or another it will be over tomorrow...unless he pulls a Kozan.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Thank God...||
This will be over soon (though Kozan is still out there...dammit.)
One quick point...Diamond wasn't even ALIVE when Juwan made that statement...which means, I am REALLY old.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Offended...||
Just like they don't like 'Ohio' I don't like that 'school up north'.
Think they will react to my being offended?
|3 years 43 weeks ago||FWIW||
|3 years 43 weeks ago||One can hope...||
One can hope this effects Kozan...
|3 years 43 weeks ago||No offense...||
But I don't really care all that much.
The one exception is Neal...if he takes that kid away from OSU...positive for us.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||OSU||
What is amazing is that most OSU fans expect to take TWO MORE guys...putting them at 26. How they get to that number is beyond me.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Yup||
Georgia fans think they have him in the bag, for what it is worth.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||My guess?||
Jaquay Williams...but I have absolutely nothing other than rumors to back that up.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Buckle up...||
AllenTrieu Allen Trieu
Yup, the surprise commit is really happening. 7 AM sharp!
|3 years 43 weeks ago||This is...||
a shocking development!
|3 years 43 weeks ago||This was known...||
He reaffirmed yesterday after the coaching announcement.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Pathetic...||
Look, if this is all you can come up with, become a MSU fan. It is pathetic.
I don't care if Woody Hayes comes back from the dead...ultimately, it will not be the talent level that makes the difference, but coaching and tactics.
Urban is going to win his share of games...but if you don't believe Hoke will too, frankly, don't let the door hit you on your way out.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Right now..||
He has got to still be a Va Tech lean...that said, always good to get him on campus early.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Actually||
Actually, probably a good hire. Whether he has time to rescue the class is another story.
|3 years 43 weeks ago||Center||
Kozan could project as a center.
And the coaches always wanted a total of 3 more, with the net loss of Stacey.
|3 years 44 weeks ago||It is as simple as this...||
on defense, in Mattison we trust.
|3 years 44 weeks ago||OSU fans||
OSU fans are pretty confident that he ends up with them.
I think this one is probably a tossup because of Wisky's coaching changes...otherwise, he would be a badger.
|3 years 44 weeks ago||Really wanted Garnett||
Really wanted this kid. Yeah, he projected at Guard, which we are probably ok at, but still this was an elite recruit, smart and personable. Wish him the best.
|3 years 44 weeks ago||Look...||
I said this elsewhere, but as fans we have no right to be angry at Garnett.
Pipkins on the other hand probably was told something, and now feels, well, betrayed. We don't have that info, but if he wants to be angry, he has that personal right.
|3 years 44 weeks ago||Je'Ron Stokes||
STokes is the one that really hurts, doesn't it?
