re: dbs/wrs

DBs must have "good hips" in order to change directions quickly and great footwork in order to be able to react and make plays on the ball.  Being physical helps at jamming receivers at the line and also finishing tackles.  Having good hands is a bonus.  Instints and film study help in reading plays.  A lot of high school kids play WR and DB so that helps in knowing routes and tendencies but they are completely different positions.

Rittenberg

Here's what I wrote in the comments of that video:

This is the same tired reporting as always. Drop a bunch of names and talk about needing to improve and state a lot of obvious things. However, the assertion that it is the D-Line is the main problem is incorrect. Instead of this mumbo jumbo about injuries and departures in the secondary that does not mean anything anymore, watch the game and look at what is happening. The linebackers don't fill holes quickly, they lose contain, and they miss on tackles. The free safety hesitates on almost every decision and therefore is out of position. The D-Line gets great penetration out of Martin and Roh and Van Bergen are solid at maintaining their gaps. If anything, Banks is a weakness because he does not really do anything. I'm glad you can read a roster, regurgitate names, and look at a stat sheet like the rest of us and then tell us a bunch of stuff that doesn't mean anything.
From the ESPN link above:

"I'm still 'Bama, but the Gators are on a run with me," Clinton-Dix said. "FSU is also throwin' in a few punches at me. I'm liking FSU right now."

He continued, "USC is on me hard and I'm taking a visit soon," Clinton-Dix said. "I just dont know about going that far from home. When I take a trip and see what I think ... I would decommit and go to USC. I just have to see after my official visit."

Doesn't look promising.  Just keep winning.

More cheap tickets

Apparently, you can go to an IU game for $5 if you are 1) with and IU student and 2) have a student ID of any school that is NOT the opposing team.  Not sure about how valid this rumor but it game via a friend that goes to IU.  I will say that a few years ago, tickets were given to me at a tailgate and there were quite a few offers for free or cheap tickets.  A lot of students go to tailgate and don't care about the game.

Interview

Graham is a friend of mine from college and he produces really good stuff.  Check out his blog more often.  I had the same problem with pausing every few minutes to take calls.
