...says Denzel Valentine of Big Ten Tourney favorite MSU, which is 5-7 in its last 12 games. Cumong, man.

I hope that his drops are concentration/mental than an issue with his hands. He did catch 80+ balls a few years ago, so he's proven the ability to be a prolific pass catching target. I still think he's a fairly reasonable option at $4 mil/yr.
|5 hours 21 min ago||His hands are sometimes||
His hands are sometimes suspect, but he's a great blocker. One of few TE's that act as a legit 6th OL AND pose a receiving threat. As a Lions fan, I'm good with this signing.

Ahhhh...Phoebe. This scene was life-altering for many young males. Well done.

My DirecTV guide says the game is on the deuce...I think.

3 MOAR YEARS!
I was initially hoping that he might be a C.J. Lee/David Merritt type by the time he's a junior and give us some valuable on-the-court minutes. But I have to admit that I kind of don't want Dakich to develop as a hoops player. It would be a shame to see him pulled away from the bench at critical junctures in the game.

Pirates don't care about jinxes.
Also, ISU down 3 against KSU with 9+ minutes left.. Probably doesn't matter much at this point, but I would love to see ISU make a run in their tourney.

My cat currently won't shit in the litter box. Anyone have any good stories of Wolverine athletes who wouldn't shit in the toilet? On second thought, maybe keep those stories close to the vest...

Agree. I might have maize and blue goggles by declaring Gallon a 3rd rounder, but I think he'll get drafted in the lower half. I think.

Detroit Lions, let me introduce you to Jeremy Gallon in round 3.
|3 days 20 hours ago||I swear I wrote this ^^||
Like thousands of multi-decade Lions fans, you share my EXACT feelings. We could be a 10 win team next year, or a 10 loss team next year. But we're stuck in perpetual parity purgatory, unless we can strike gold with a few lower round draft picks and/or lower tier free agents that suddenly blossom. Glimmers of hope were the OL outperforming expectations last year, including contributions from undrafted FA's (Waddle). But until Stafford matures (mechanics and such) AND the DL dominates on a consistent basis, we're nothing more than a mediocre team in a league filled with mediocre teams.
That said, I wish we would've gone through our horrible, horrible stage (0-16) in the past 1-2 years to reap the benefits of the newish rookie salary structure.
Sammy Watkins? That selection might marginally tingle my football loins. Just like Andre Ware marginally tickled my football loins in the early '90s. Please, someone, tickle my football loins.

I thought it was standard practice to misspell Loonardi's name as much as humanly possible, since, I guess, a lot of people apparently don't like Lonbardi's prognostications. I, myself, don't follow Ludnardie very much, so I'm not really familiar with his schtick.

There are at least 3 on this board living in/near Madison, so take that into consideration when you hope for Milwaukee. We will be loud. And we can flip Bo Ryan the bird on the road to Milwaukee.

Tom is indeed unhinged and quits after this year to his hobby farm north of Iron Mountain. The MSU AD glances at Lincoln, NE and thinks "that Miles guy did a bang-up job this year". They hire Miles, and now we're faced with the connundrum of having to hate the one opposing B1G coach that we kinda like and respect.
|4 days 3 hours ago||GRIII...not blue-chip recruit||
I hate it when shallow analyses are thrown around like "UM was blessed with such great talent...any bozo could've coached that team to a B1G title." Sure, GRIII was a potential 1st rounder, but he was not a blue-chip 5 star recruit when he committed to UM. Neither was Burke. Neither was Hardaway. So we lost 2 1st rounders who were ho-hum 3-star type recruits. That is great player development and great coaching.
Miles has done a great job with Nebraska this year, but - maize and blue goggles be damned - JB deserves it for wreaking havoc on a tough basketball conference and winning outright by 3 games.
|4 days 4 hours ago||Omaha?||
Lincoln! Lincoln > Omaha (at least in my opinion for college town atmosphere). But your point is still valid. Nebraska's hoops history has been less-than-stellar, so attracting top talent to Lincoln might be difficult, except for "WOW! TV's IN THE BATHROOMS!"

I really think sprinkling in the 1-3-1 has spurred us to a handful of wins. This zone has been active and disruptive in recent weeks. I think it was the 2nd half key in IU win.

Word to MGoBrewMom. It was a wild ride based on a false premise that Chris Webber was playing by the rules. I love Juwan. I appreciate Jalen's passion for UM. Jimmy and Ray were solid 4 year players and a huge part of that crazy experience. I personally cheered those years in Crisler as a student. But I just can't conjure up good vibes of that era due to the dismal death spiral it caused to our hoops program, and this ultimately colors my final opionion of that era.

The 90-91 season was long and tough. The TRUE Michigan student hoops fans endured that year in good spirits. I had a blast cheering for a frontcourt that consisted of:
Rich McIver (sweet hairdo)
Sam Mitchell (smooth, but inconsistent)
McIver and Mitchell would soon transfer. Sigh. That was a young and innocent team in the young and innocent times before the Fab 5 craziness.

Yup. Student section should be all over this one. Learn the words, students. Sing your hearts out in honour of Canada's native son. I think it would be the perfect antidote to the USA chants he's endured.

I'll cheer heartily during the BTT, but I'm not passionate about it. It would really only matter to me if (a) we were a true bubble team and needed to make a BTT run to squeak in the NCAA's or (b) if we lost a #1 seed due to a 1st round flop in the BTT.
Tirico and Dakich hit on this point during yesterday's telecast (BTT vs. other conference tourneys). I did a grad school stint at an ACC school, and I loved the pageantry of the ACC tourney. It was magical. But I don't feel that way yet about the BTT and wonder if I ever will. I take great satisfaction in a grind-it-out B1G regular season championship.

Has the Maize Rage serenaded him with "O Canada" yet? That would be pretty sweet to do against IU, especially if it is his last Crisler game. Brings tears to my eyes, that national anthem.
