I hate myself for getting excited about this. So I'm not gonna get excited about this...publicly. I'll refrain from public expressions of elation and will remain stoic in the face of excitement. I just won't let myself believe this until any press conference is held. So there.

I envision you attempting to rub your spicywiener into non-Michigan fan faces - and having that plan backfire horrendously. Be careful what you rub into their faces, Carlos. Be safe out there.

I'll only believe this if Pitt's athletic department Tweets "Merry Christmas, Pat!!!" on Thursday.

Many of us have been privately contemplating the same question, but I refuse to truly ponder it until IT HAPPENS.
|1 day 12 hours ago||Sky writing||
Social media: cheap, easy, and superficial.
Sky writing: expensive, difficult, and shows how much you really care.
C'mon, Hackett. Quit taking the easy route and lavish him with true birthday greetings that only a sky-writing, exhaust-spewing airpline can provide.

I barely lost in my fantasy football playoffs game last week. I had the Lions "D". This could've been a sweet point-getting week for me. Shit.
Also: I'm scared shitless about this scenario. As a decades-long Lions fan, this has the makings of a nightmare game where Clausen dices us up.

Almost negged for complete lack of nakedness involved in your celebratory scheme, but I'll let it pass for now. If this does happen, nakedness will eventually ensue after 100 beers consumed.
|1 week 5 days ago||ACE!!!||
Good to see you back, Ace. I'm thinkin' the hoops drought was directly related to your health-related hiatus. They feed off of your energy.

You'll get more than a viral infection from the posbang.
|1 week 6 days ago||You keep posting the monkey||
You keep posting the monkey rodeo mania and I keep upvoting it. This symbiotic relationship will last until a coach is hired.
|1 week 6 days ago||No!!!!! Yes!!!!! I'm not sure||
I'm not sure how I should feel.
I also panicked when I saw "CJNitkowski" and thought "did the Tigers trade for him?!".

I now have an automatic reflex to check MGoPoints associated with any WD-affiliated post. You da real one, so it's all cool.

This would've been funny in any other given week. This week...not so much. Welcome to the club, Nebrasketball fans. It's not fun losing to the likes of NJIT and Incarnate U.

My dog's case of raging diarrhea cleared up after Hoke's firing. It's clearly correlated. And very positive news.
|2 weeks 6 hours ago||Chryst||
I have to think that Chryst will be seriously considered. I know he hasn't lit the world on fire at Pitt, but that job was his if he had stuck around another year. Andersen was hired after a 26-22 record at Utah St., so it's not like Alvarez desires a .700 record attached to a potential coaching hire. A Schiano hire would also be good, but for preventative reasons.

Freshmen - even top 50 recruits - usually take time to develop. This is natural. Go back and look at Frank Kaminsky's film from his freshman year. I dare you. It wasn't pretty.
In a perfect world, you want to give your top freshmen important minutes, but insulate them with veteran players (I'm counting sophomores as veterans nowadays). Sure, freakish athletes, Kentucky recruits, and the Fab 5 can disprove the typical freshman connundrum, but recent Kentucky teams and the Fab 5 experienced horrible growing pains before finding their stride. This is what I actually respect most about Bo Ryan's Wisconsin teams. He usually has a nice mix of upperclass talent that has marinated for a few years sprinkled with quality minutes from the youngsters. He's perfected this balance in the modern NCAA landscape - although he still hasn't won a national championship using this recipe.
We aren't good right now. But we showed huge sparks of life against Villanova and Syracuse. Who the hell knows what we'll look like in early March. I do know that coming out of Puerto Rico last year, I didn't think I was watching a B1G championship team.

Spike Albrecht had 4 turnovers. 1 assist. I never dreamed this type of stat line would be associated with Spike. He looked really flustered out there at the end of the game.
Everyone was off-kilter last night. Give credit to Eastern's active zone, but the lack of offensive cohesiveness was alarming.

End of thread.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Fail||
I feel very strongly that the Miss St.-Wis/'Zona winner should be aired on ESPN, not the deuce.
Also, too many damn games (unless you take away a regular season game or two, which ain't happening).

Don and I must have the same browsing habits.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||My take...||
We've had these threads before, and I find them quite entertaining. I just had an Amazon's ad for women's clothing make an appearance on my ad banner. I'm not a woman, and I don't usually dress in women's clothing (exception to the rule: casual Fridays that align with a waxing moon). Maybe holiday season bait? I dunno. I did buy something snowmobile-related from Amazon on Saturday, so at least they're tracking that bit correctly. I'll cleanse my browser cookies and see what comes up next.

New banner caption. Seriously.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Nice juxtaposition||
The juxtaposition of crazy, dancing, "Let's Go Blue" UM fan with her surroundings is stark. And awesome. Everyone else has a glazed look. They clap and raise fists as if the drudgery of the task has beaten them into dull oblivion. AND THE GAME WAS STILL CLOSE! C'mon, fans. Learn a lesson from this wonderful, vibrant, dancing fanatic. In my view, she has risen to lofty heights of UM fandom a la Lloyd, Face-Palm Guy, Rapture Dude, etc. Rock on, I say!

I don't have any hair. Except on my shoulders.
|3 weeks 11 hours ago||No||
No. Wisconsin is a notch above, and still would be with Horford. But we would be in much better situation with our bigs rotations. 5 more fouls to give is always a good thing, too.
I think Horford showed spurts of potential, especially on the defense and rebounding side of things. My feeling is that he would've had a solid senior year here (8-10 ppg, 7 rpg, a block or two per game).

Defensive "stand" to the game, thus preventing Pat FItzgerald from jumping up and down to celebrate a victory! How could you forget this high point?!

I'm so very sad. The press confernences will be missed. Stay strong, Bo.
