I only comment because I once had a connecting flight thru there. From the air, parts looked liked Vegas. From the ground, scared as shit. Their customs cards mention prohibited things, and say some will = DEATH (true!).
is a qb for all his years. Unless UM gets another stud QB outside of Gardner, you have to keep him there, and even if you do, you keep him there from experience probably. I can see, though, him being a qb for 4 years, than an NFL team drafting him in the later rounds for another position. The man does have skills!
If you put both in, the enemy D would expect a designed DR play. Depending on frequency of having both in (which should be rare), you put DR in as a decoy. But a play where one QB made a lateral to the other QB, only to have the receiving QB bomb one downfield would be sick.
50% of the time or more, 3 stars a are "meh". For an elite program, most 3 stars should be your back ups. Recruiting evaluations are certainly not perfect, and there are some great players who were lowly ranked, but on average, over the long term, the higher rated players have a higher success rate.
Agree with you 100% on the DC turnover + lack of Barwis traing. Gittleson's methods were severely outdated, and its going to be great when a senior means four years of Barwis. I hope GERG stays long term. He is not HC material, just a really good DC. Hopefully he realizes that and doesnt jump ship if our D has success and someone offers.
and I think the Cissoko bashing is a bit much. He's a good player that is generally in position. His size does not help, but most of his deficiencies are issues that can be coached.
Also keep in mind that UM puts him out there man a lot. I like his effort, and his attitude. I think he is capable of being really good, its just up to him if he puts in the work to make it happen.
Mike Martin is beast, and I love what Roh is doing. It's hard for me to call him undersized in a system that puts a premium on quickness. Yes he will add bulk in the program, but I don't think UM is now going for the big hogs. I know Barwis will never tell him to eat a pizza every night before bed!
Weight room accidents can be far worse than many on the field. I remember in HS where a teammate over extended on a reverse leg exercise (cant remember the name these days - its the one where your on your back lying down, kind of doint a squat with your legs on weights).
It was one of the 1st days of training, the kid was new, and the coaching staff failed to provide proper technique on the machine. He overextended, putting his legs to a fully straight lock position, of one of his legs gave way and pretty much snapped. Yound kid trying to be macho + a coaching staff that didnt prep the kids enough = a debilitating injury. These days the staff wouldve been fired and sued to oblivion (perhaps overkill) - those days - they kept their job - amazing.
But to a dedicated troll, its all the same. If you make a bunch of fake rah rah rah posts, you will get great rankings from most, especially koolaid drinkers. Then the troll is unleashed.
Conversely, you could make a great post, with a great argument, backed up with references, and get neg banged to hell because it didnt agree with some people, especially koolaid drinkers.
While I hate to see garbage diaries or posts (which yours of course isn't, nice diary btw), all the other options would have the possible effect of stifling free speech. If free speech means an idiot gets by from time to time, so be it.
I would be more worried about excluding dissent. A point system means you would have to be a super dedicated troll, and after time they would fade individually. New trolls would of course pop up to be sure, but all would realize over time, spending hours to make a troll post, then banned, then more hours on a new account, etc etc.
There are posts and diaries that are worthwhile, and worthy reads, that may contain subject matter that disagrees with most people. You run into a bad situation if moderators actively forbid your posts just because they disagree. Ultimately, options 2 and 3 lead to option 4.
Personally, I love what Rich is doing, but if others do not, let them speak. Conversely, I hated Lloyd as a coach (and only as a coach of coarse). Back in the day, I would have made posts slamming him for decision making. If the mods felt he was uber, I would have been forbidden to make such statements.

There is no doubt Tate, at this stage, is not only more advanced than Chad in so many ways, that he maybe more along now, than Chad was several years down the road.
Another thing, Chad, on any year, never showed the pocket awareness that Tate has shown in 3 games. Its almost like a violinist whose been playing since 4 yrs old.
and this is just observation based on personally witnessed things, I'm almost kind of worried for tate. This is the oh no the glass is half full argument, but, from all the things I have seen, and in many sports, it's quite often that the ones that start the strongest do not finish as such. And by this, I dont necassarily mean the collegiate career only, its sometimes the pros expectations.
Sometimes you see someone show such brilliance early on, and then what they showed was the best they ever did, ie, they never developed.
IF Tate develops and shows a good improvement curve, he will be in the pros. I have never seen a freshman, and rarely see an nfl qb, that can throw the way he does on the run.
At this point, I hope my Broncos get him!
I can agree with that, especially in recent times. He was terribad when the program quite wasnt. John Cooper still won, just not against us (so maybe hes the best!)
Corso - who knows. he didnt do well, but when you're handed poop and asked to make into steak, tough gig.
I think more so than the mac teams we played, we will rely on athletic and conditioning dominance. I fear not the hoses!
With the substitutions on offense, more that we have ever seen, the "let down" scares me a lot less with RR. I'm not saying it wont happen, just with less frequency than the recent past.

When I saw it game day, and in replay, I kept thinking the same thing - why not up the f'n middle! But now I see that pic, then I watch the video, and I cannot help but to believe he saw Odoms, and was expected a block. Stonum mad his block, and Odoms epically failed to throw a block. Oh the what if...

This is as bad or worse than when reporters ask question every year about recruits who the coach cant talk about.
An ESPN show videos a coach with recruits, and then reports its a violation, citing the bylaw.
Kiffin is a 1st class douche, who unfortunately bears amazing resembles to the new coach of my beloved Denver Broncos, but this story is more amazing because of the source of the violation, ESPN, than the nozzle, Kiffin.
