But the star is Clay Matthews with his best Peyton Manning.
|10 hours 50 min ago||Did you say insufferable?||
|10 hours 58 min ago||Not so sure about Clemson destroying OSU||
Clemson didn't look too good against NC State or Pittsburgh. And that Louisville victory is less impressive after the Cardinals nose-dive.
|11 hours 43 sec ago||The Les Miles School of Time Management there||
With only 4 seconds left in the half, Washington should have thrown a hail mary from midfield instead of punting.
Also asleep at the switch was the Colorado coaching staff. Harbaugh would have taken a timeout to force a consequence (a change of possession with time left) to the potential Hail Mary.
If you're Colorado, you probably don't want to take that timeout with 40 seconds left (what if Washington had gone for it), but I would have taken one around 12 seconds left or so.
|11 hours 33 min ago||Including Steve Ballmer||
There weren't any little boys pointing out that the Emperor had no clothes. And they should have called it Window 8 (singular).
The lack of a start menu was lambasted, but it's replacement (the Start Screen with tiles laid out horizontally) IMO was a small annoyance. The absolute productivity killer, which I rarely if ever saw well described in the media, was the one application-at-a-time tablet mode (Window--singular) that non-savvy users could get trapped in.
I was shipped a machine in which Adobe was installed to open in tablet mode as the default. Open a PDF and one window was taking up your whole screen. To remedy the situation, I had to identify the issue via Google, and then reinstall Adobe such that it opened in Desktop mode. (Basically, on a workstation, you want to avoid the tablet mode like the plague.)
What would that do to Mod & Pop?
It was a shame that Microsoft let that UI get out the door, because under the hood, Window 8 provided big improvements in many technical metrics (e.g. boot times, memory footprint, etc). Once I upgraded to Windows 8, I wasn't going back to Windows 7, but I knew how to avoid the plague.

|5 days 10 hours ago||Me, too||
|5 days 13 hours ago||10 clear victories and two razor-thin losses||
one in double OT and one on a walkoff FG.
That's an excellent year.
And you can expect it to get better once the team is stocked with Harbaugh-level recruiting classes with a couple years of Harbaugh development under their belts.
|5 days 14 hours ago||Yes, they were||
They won the B1G while going through Columbus.
Sorry, but OSU blew their chance when they lost at home to MSU. No mulligans.
|5 days 14 hours ago||Louisville & Texas A&M say Hi||
It's really hard to identify the best four, so I'm in favor of going with the champions unless it's clear that the "champion" is clearly not a Top 4 team (e.g. a team getting into their conference championship game from a weak division and then winning one game).
Also, the eye test says the Big 12 sucks. The upcoming championship game is between one Oklahoma team that got smoked at home by OSU and one that lost to Central Michigan at home.

Afraid of competition. Glad you're not on the team.
|5 days 21 hours ago||From 5-7 to 10-2||
with the two losses being in double OT on a bullshit spot and a one point loss on a walkoff FG? And in all of the 10 wins, we were clearly the better team, the closest being a 7 point win in which we missed three FGs.
Build the man his shrine.
|5 days 21 hours ago||And we got 7 points off of their turnovers||
Plus they missed two FGs, one of them a chip shot.
|6 days 12 hours ago||^^^Writes as if Harbaugh will be on the hot seat^^^||
I think you need to work on your phrasing.
|6 days 12 hours ago||So you're saying other than the o-line and the d-line||
we'll be fine?
|6 days 12 hours ago||Alabama and Ohio State have perennial top recruiting classes||
We've had one.
We're losing a ton of talent across the board, and we don't have the same stable of up-and-coming players that have been in practices and conditioning for a year or two ready to step on the field (in addition to the few freshmen that are immediate impact players).
We'll get there, and the receiving corps isn't the greatest concern, but any dropoff hurts when it's part of a potential across-the-board dropoff.
|6 days 12 hours ago||I get your point||
|6 days 12 hours ago||And the two losses being||
a walk-off one-point loss and a double OT loss.
Maybe we should get a point for an overtime loss and move on to the CFP?
|6 days 12 hours ago||Unfortunately, I think our loss today rules that out||
Clark had two obstacles to clear:
Clark played in four games. Had we won today and played in the CCG and bowl for a minimum of 14 games, Clark would have played in 4/14 or 28.6%. With the loss today, which pretty much guarantees a 13 game season, Clark will have played in 4/13 or 30.8% of the games.
It sucks, but I doubt that close is good enough. Harbaugh tried appealing for Ojemudia last year (5/13 or 38.4%), but was denied.
|6 days 13 hours ago||You go for two only when you think the ~40% chance of winning||
it affords is your best shot.
I'm glad Harbaugh didn't act in desperation by going for two. (Maybe it made sense for Mork, who was definitely playing with the weaker hand.)
|6 days 13 hours ago||The sideline provides a point of reference for plays going||
out-of-bounds that is lacking for plays in the middle of the field.
Not perfect, but clearly better, and cost-effective.
|6 days 13 hours ago||We did get a first down on the next play||
|6 days 15 hours ago||Why the hell isn't there a camera on the first down markers||
It's an easy improvement.
|6 days 15 hours ago||Yep, plus Colorado needs to win the PAC-12||
Sparty, NO! turned a 2 point halftime lead into a 19 point 3rd quarter deficit.

Turnovers killed that team. I believe that season is what drove Carr to play LloydBall.
