Illinois went 15-1 in 2004-05. OSU went 15-1 in 2006-07. Both made the national championship game but lost. Lots of 2-loss Big Ten champs since then too.
Good recipe, but use real limes, please. Keeping a few in your fridge plus a knife and juicer is just as easy as a bottle of pasteurized metallic-flavored citrus juice.
Disclaimer: corned beef is stupidly expensive any time but around St. Patrick's day. And the fattier point I prefer is hard to find. So you might have to wait until then.
1. The town is crappy compared to other college towns
and
2. I saw Michigan lose there once because of bad coaching decisions
Pretty sure we don't have to worry about #2 any more. And you'll still have a good time because there is MICHIGAN FOOTBALL and TAILGATING. Who cares if the bars suck and the campus is not pretty?
It's definitely not the best college town in the Big Ten, but when you account for relative ease to get to from Ann Arbor or Chicago, availability of tickets and likely weather, it's still worth it to many. Tailgating is still Tailgating, and UM football is still UM football no matter where you go!
It also cost us at least one, (MSU) possibly both (ILL) losses that year due to Henson's poor play that Brady could not dig us out from. Not a great idea if you have a clear starter.
"In his eighth season on the Farm, Turley has revolutionized Stanford football's strength and conditioning program, notably slashing injury rates by 87 percent from 2006 to 2012."
In the even years, UM has 5 (meh) home B1G games. Adding a home marquee BCS team in the even years will require a return away game, but UM can't "afford" another away game (and only have 6 home games total) on the odd years to make up for it.
RS Juniors have not been captains too often, but when they are, they usually are Offensive Tackles wearing #77. See Jansen, Jon and Long, Jake, both two-time captains. I bet Lewan follows.

So far, the reasons for not going consist of:
1. The town is crappy compared to other college towns
and
2. I saw Michigan lose there once because of bad coaching decisions

You don't even have to boil it. Just equal parts hot tap water and sugar in a jar, shaken until dissolved.

Jake Long was a captain at the same point in his career and came back for his 5th year. Lewan is a Senior so seems like a great choice.
