|2 hours 59 min ago||I'll list 1 per position...because I'm THAT bored.||
QB - "At what point during fall camp did you determine who would start at QB?"
RB - "Last year the team looked different when De'Veon was healthy - do you plan to monitor his carries at all this season?"
FB - "Can you talk about the competition you had a fullback? (assuming depth chart is released) What did (starter) do to emerge as the starter?"
WR - "There's been a lot of talk about the freshman wide receivers - what makes the ready to contribute so early in their career?"
TE - "Can you talk about Gentry has progessed since making the transition from quarterback?"
OL - "How close was the battle at LT? Is that battle set or is it still ongoing through this first game?"
DL - "Much of this defensive line is proven, you have a lot of experience - however, what does Rashan Gary bring to this unit? Is there anything he provides that maybe you haven't had in previous years?"
LB - "There are a lot of familiar faces on the defensive side of the ball, however, these LBs are a releatively new bunch - can you touch on each of those guys and what you've seen from them this fall?
CB - "Where does Jourdan Lewis rank among the college CBs you've coached?"
S - "It looks like the you guys Tyree Kinnel and Khaleke Hudson are going to be asked to contribute early - can you talk about what each of those players brings to the table?"
K - "Do you have a long range and short range kicker this year or do you expect it to be the same player?"
P - Last year you had a punter who was extremely effective with the rugby style punts...can we expect someone to take that role this year?"
|3 hours 24 min ago||I'm not sure that's correct.||
I'm not sure that's correct. I saw someone refer to him the other day as "Right Offensive Line."
|3 hours 25 min ago||I tend to agree||
But I still wish we would've redshirted Mario Ojemudia
|3 hours 27 min ago||After saying that all 3 freshman WRs will play||
I love Harbaugh...but I don't believe for a second he's going to remember the names of every true freshman who he plans to play during an interview. He's just not wired that way and it wouldn't be surprising at all if he simply forgot a name or two...also wouldn't be surprised if he named a name or two that end up with a redshirt.
I feel like at this point we all know his mind is moving 100mph and interviews should be taken seriously, but not as 100% fact of what's going to happen.
It would be hard for anyone to remember every single name on the spot...but for Harbaugh, like I said...maybe it's 100% accurate, but it shouldn't shock anyone if a couple players were simply forgotten at the time of the question.
I feel like you could ask him the same thing right now and get a few different names and have a few of these left off.
|3 hours 33 min ago||I'd love to see us redshirt||
I'd love to see us redshirt Uche and EM-B...Furbush, Jones, Wroblewski, Wangler have to be able to give us some solid snaps as backup LBs.
|3 hours 34 min ago||No Onwenu||
No Onwenu is the bigger surprise after Harbaugh called him his favorite player.
Kareem is/was hurt and we have a log jam...there is no reason to play him unless he's an elite RB which everyone seemed to calm the hype on him late in the recruiting process and his rating fell a little bit. Spring camp reports seemed to indicate he'll be a solid back in a couple years, but he's not the second coming of Fournette.

|5 hours 29 min ago||No one is mad at him for his||
No one is mad at him for his comments on the stance.
It's that he originally said he didn't respect the motivation behind the stance. Which is saying that you don't respect equality for all people, elimination of discrimation in the country, etc.
That's tough for anyone not to support...if you have to be one of the few who don't - please just let us know because this conversation can stop now.
Now he went back and apologized and said he obviously respects the motivation...he doesn't like the execution (not standing for the flag)...that's an entirely different conversation.
|5 hours 34 min ago||Which is why I hope anyone||
Which is why I hope anyone with a brain can understand and agree that he misspoke.
Because yes, not respecting the motivation is HIGHLY wrong and offensive. But if you know anything about Harbaugh, he's very distracted during interviews and he doesn't always articulate himself how he means.
He went back, apologized and explained...move on. If you're really about making progress then you won't let that stop the conversation. But if you're just looking for the first slip up to latch on and point your finger...then in your mind, you got just want you wanted.
Danny Kannel did the exact same thing on Russillo & Kannel today. He gave a VERY articulate and honest side that I think either side could go "hmmm, okay, that makes sense." Then they go to commercial and come back for a quick TV-only segment. Well, it's timed and super short and he was reading tweets from reactions to the first segment and accidently said "colored people" inside of "people of color" as he's clearly rushing to beat the bell before the commercial.
Again, if you're looking for that slip up...he gave it to you. But if you take the time to listen to him and then watch it on TV...he's speaking at one rate and then tries to fly through the last line and just messes it up. And actually the point he was making was more on the side of the majority view from people of color...he just botched the end.
Hopefully people take time to get the whole picture and not just the sound bite.
In the end, we can't make people afraid to have the conversation if we're chastising everyone for not being willing to sit down and have open dialogue.
I'm glad Harbaugh apologized...I knew what he meant when I read it if I'm being honest with myself and I refuse to let that slip up stop the conversation or distract the conversation.
|5 hours 50 min ago||The release was at the Ford||
The release was at the Ford plant in Detroit...it's showing you where that event happened.
That said, this was posted on here last week, maybe the week before...it's all running together at this point.
|15 hours 33 min ago||Isn't this the week of "I||
Isn't this the week of "I could've shared my feelings in the feelings thread, but I'm afraid no one will read it so I started a new even more important feelings thread?"
I also believe it's the week where someone makes a completely obnoxious thread and it's mocked in 15 new threads so that the mods have to clean up 2 pages of funny people.
I almost forgot...
|22 hours 32 min ago||Also||
Plenty of guys don't play their first 2 years and develop just fine...especially QBs.
On other comment...Harbaugh does a lot of "ORs" that's also going to help get freshman into the 2 deep...I was just updating the RBs and saw the WRs and that I already had them in the 2 deep as "ORs"
This is 5 freshman in the 2-deep and doesn't include Evans. It also doesn't include Onwenu...who if we take out our entire starting OL and go with 5 backups...he's likely in that 5, but on this depth chart it shows that Dawson is the true backup at both positions. So you're going to run into instances like this as well that we need to take into consideration. Sure he's a backup OG, but he's not going in first at either position, IMO.
|22 hours 40 min ago||I personally have him as the 3rd "catchy" TE behind Butt||
Then I have Wheatley as "blocky" TE #1 and Asasi as "blocky" TE #2
I'd give Williams' snaps to Wheatley, Hill to Asasi...Gentry is the 5th TE IMO, which could be the odd man out in terms of meaningful PT. But he'll get plenty of run in blowouts because Butt should be one of the first to come off along with De'Veon and Jehu.
But Gentry is only a RS Freshman...Butt leaves...he can still backup Bunting next year as "catchy" TE #2 and get plenty of snaps for his RS So, Jr and Sr years.

Unless you're Iowa.
We're not Iowa.
|22 hours 48 min ago||I think they may be underrated||
The OL is as good as it's been in a LOOONG time.
Smith is awesome when healthy. Beast Mode 2.0
You have a 5^ kid in Isaac that people have forgotten about.
Evans and Peppers provide speed and play making ability
Then you have Johnson and I still think there is something the coahces saw in Higdon that made them burn his redshirt for no reason reason.
This could be a very underrated group...one that we look back and call the best since Mr. Hart was running the ball.
|22 hours 50 min ago||Not shocking. We all knew||
We all knew DeVeon was one. And the Evans hype is real, even though I think he'll be that hybrid RB/Slot/Space/Matchup Nightmare type play Jalin Marshall and Braxton were at OSU.
Drake still gets carries, but I'm not surprised Isaac passed him.
Both traditional RB freshman should redshirt...we were wasting time in the depth chart threads arguing about Walker. Although he's been hurt so #7 doesn't mean he wouldn't be higher if healthy.
Smith, Isaac, Johnson, Higdon...is plenty. Evans and Peppers get spread RB role - a role that I think we see more often in place of the FB since we loss Kerridge and Houma. A lot of their runs I think go to Evans. Not plays...but snaps/number called.
|1 day 2 hours ago||That part was sarcasm||
It missed you. The post started with special teams and was about special teams. I feel like you only read "backup gunner."
But he does play freshman on special teams when they don't play offense or defense much.
Tyree Kinnel for example.
|1 day 2 hours ago||He literally said AND special teams on the show today||
Which is where the quote was taken from.
Last year you had guys like Tyree Kinnel play special teams and he was not a returner.
Harbaugh plays the best players...don't matter if it's an up man on a return team, a gunner, whatever....
Now I think some of these same players are going to get some run on offense or defense...of course. Most will. But it wouldn't shock me at all if 1-2 guys just play special teams all year.
|1 day 2 hours ago||I wouldn't||
He could get Hill's snaps at TE from last year while Wheatley gets the AJ Williams snaps.
|1 day 2 hours ago||He did what I did the other||
He did what I did the other night..but he didn't have any cushion.
|1 day 6 hours ago||He also said offense/defense/special teams||
...so I wouldn't get too carried away. Harbaugh has emphasized special teams being a key phase from day 1.
I know we don't consider a backup gunner to be the same as a backup defensive tackle...but we should probably keep in mind that some, maybe even most of those roles will be special teams.
In watching the video, he hinted that there could be more that avoid the redshirt as well. If you say a RB, 3 WR, TE, OL, OL/DL (Onwenu), 2 DE, 1 LB, 1 CB, 1 S....that's 12 right there. That doesn't include another LB or Nordin.

Absolutely they would. And they'd complain the entire time about not being able to see anything, but be happy they were one of the people that were there.
Everyone knew when they announced this thing it was silly...the views are awful. People are just going to drink and say they were there, not because they want to enjoy some kind of awesome fan experience.
But don't give Dave Brandon any ideas...oh wait, he sells toys now.

Am I though?
I think you're just making shit up because you don't like me, which is fine...but there's no lie about things.
Maybe I was critical of you at one point? I don't know. But that statement is way false.
I spend the majority of my time depth charting, making up "fanasty/opinion" threads as a way to get an opinion from others over things I may thinking about (like today: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/one-week-away-mgopredictions-time-obligatory-not-michigans-wl-record), or in open/live threads for actual sporting events.
