I've never understood why people are so against night games. The arguments against them are pretty lame and pretty much apply to any game, not just night games.
In genreal I'd rather not play OSU at night just because it is so late in the year and if it is going to be that cold, I would prefer there are least be the possibility of some sunlight, but for a #1 vs #2, I would take it and I would like it. On the other side of the coin, I really likied UTL 1 and 2 because it was early in the season and it was still plenty warm and without the sun beating down on what, in September, can sometimes be a rather hot day.
In a year where our only major non-November candidate is MSU, I'm all for it, particularly when they are so early on the schedule like this year. I'd also be cool with Nebraska, PSU, and probably even Wisconsin in a night game under similar circumstances, but looking ahead to when our better OOC schedule starts kicking in, I would say I would rather hold the big night game for an infrequent opponent, like Texas, Oklahoma, UCLA, and so on. File ND under that category too if that continues to be an every once in a while deal.

While I agree that at least publicly acknowledging and addressing the problem would probably be appropriate by the staff, I am not surprised that upgrading the site is not moving anywhere.
Me and my groupmates tried to use Drupal for our senior design project, and it kind of sucks. It's neat for Average's Joe's Website Nobody Cares About but it is definitely not for something of this magnitude and it wasn't particularly useful for us and what we wanted to do. We ended up just hackig the daylights out of the database schema and writing completely other stuff for most of our project, leaving just the login piece of the original Drupal stuff we started with. To some extent or another I'm guessing that is what MGoBlog is at this point too, but it predictably doesn't work so hot for a site like this. In fact, if I recall, I emailed Brian about the points system because we wanted something similar, and he replied that he had to patchwork the original system to even get what we have and that if we managed to come up with with something useful to let him know (sorry Brian, it didn't work out of for us either...)
Admittedly, I was brand new to web development then and am still new/bad at it now, but I think "upgrading" at this point probably really means building it brand new from the ground up. I'm not sure where Drupal is at these days, but I'd bet a paycheck it'd be just as efficient to redo the whole thing. That is going to take quite a lot of time no matter where the money and the labor comes from, and then there's the migration to consider too that would require coming up with a conversion plan from scratch too.
TLDR: The website is a ptachwork of hacks on top of Drupal because Drupal actually kind of sucks and doing something about it is significantly harder than throwing money and a few volunteers at it, and even with sufficient amounts of those would take a long time. Sorry guys, but I think we're just going to have to deal with it.

Not happy with the way they got away with defensive holding that we got called for every time, but we still win easily if we don't do bonehead stupid stuff.
Running into the kicker AGAIN, drops, the facemask on the big run, etc. Every time we had a chance to put the dagger to them we put them right back into it.
It's frustrating that we finally seem to have a better team and we gave it away to them.
|23 weeks 4 days ago||This||
Not sure if you were the guy who recommended it before, but somebody on the board recommended this like 4 years ago and I found this to be a perfect option.
The lot is isolated from foot traffic and the people running it are not the type to let people walk in and look for cras to destroy. Plus, its reasoanbly priced and the cost is for a good cause.
The Alumni Association also had a thing going in one of their buildings and the building was very close to this lot. It was extremely convenient for that and reasonable walking distance from the stadium.
Also, I personally have never had a big issue in Columbus despite all the horror stories. I have never been egrigiously mistreated and have had plenty of good conversations with the people around me. Never had much trouble at MSU either, but definitely more so than in Columbus. In fact, I think I've had more trouble with VISITING Wisconsin fans than I ever had at a road game. I have no desire to go to Madison lest it be for a game against someone else in which I can be a neutral observer.

If you don't want to wait, as mentioned in your thread the other day, I still have an extra for this year I'd be happy to give you for face value.
One day I'll accept I'm alone forever and drop my extra seat, but it was not this day...
Also, good luck with that house. I'm doing pretty alright for myself and I still think it'll take me at least another 7 years to be able to afford one of those in this town.

26 year old recent grad here. Got real adult tickets starting last year thanks to Brandon and other factors tanking the wait list and making it easy to get them.
I intend to hold onto them for the next 80 years if I live that long. (although even I must admit, when we have all our first 3-5 games at home in a row, I appreciate that first road game to kick back and relax)
Ditto for hockey.

Actually, he does know English, and in fact very well. He uses an interpreter because he is self-conscious about making a mistake while speaking. At least all the times I've heard him without an interpreter he sounded just fine.
|32 weeks 4 days ago||I just joined the list and I||
I just joined the list and I got them first year, but that was convinently during the transition period to Harbaugh when everyone got offered tickets because Brandon had chased everyone off. Now I'm sure the list is back, but its tough to know how long it might be, especially if we have another big year and the hype train goes off the rails.
I'd get on that list when you can for the seasons to come, but if you're looking for this year, I have an extra I'm getting rid of that's on the MGoSpreadsheet.
I chose to get 2 hoping to need it for a significant other some day and just to bring friends in the mean time (and also because I figure it'll be hard to increase the number in the future and not get sent back to the top of the endzone), but that proved stressful and annoying to get rid of them all last year so I'm trying to just offload it in whole to whomever last year.

It isn't just her. Kristen Wiig's characters also went to Michigan. I don't want to spoil anything, as early and minor as the plot point is, but after a certain event, she is carrying a box of stuff, and if you pay close attention, one of the items in the box is one of her degrees, which is from Michigan.
Their characters were best friends growing up, so I suppose it makes sense that they went to college together. I only noticed the degree during the movie and did not catch that the other character went to Michigan too.

I've ben pretty pissed with Nintendo for a while now, and this one is just another straw to throw on the pile.
I was actually looking forward to this, and then I went to download, and oops, sorry, we didn't bother making an x86 version for people like you who have a Zenfone 2.
I have never had this problem before. Every single app I've ever wanted, be it a large, multi-gigbyte mobile game or a simple utility app has rupported both ARM and x86 without issue, but somehow a multi-billion dollar company like Nintendo can't be bothered.
Same reason they can't be bothered to release a console with decent hardware and either no or completly optional gimmicks I guess.
|41 weeks 9 hours ago||He's Good to Go||
Pretty much good to go anyway, but out of state makes if a lock IMHO. When I was in high school the recruiter talked up how much they like kids from places they don'f get many from, and my high school, even though in state, doesn't send many to Michigan. Honestly though, I doubt very much the out of state is about diversity, it's about that bigger number in the tuition column. =P

Thanks for the tip, I just checked and I got the sort of upgrade I asked for! 11 rows further down (away from that stupid wall separating regular seats and the outdoor club seats that slice about 10 rows in) and closer to the aisle (as opposed to dead 'effing center of the section.

I've been using Mr. Robot as my internet handle for over a decade, and now whenever I am playing games on Steam everyone thinks it's because of this show.
|52 weeks 15 hours ago||And there, finally, is the||
And there, finally, is the last thing to make it final.
Downing, the only guy back with a 1 on 1 situation, has NO idea where the puck or the guy with is is, stands there for a second, and then takes a penalty as the guy is skaitng by him.
Really kind of hope the rumors he is turning pro are true. All three years he has reminded me of Burlon and Llewellyn, guys with measureables and ability but so stupid sometimes I almost find it hard to believe they are still academically eligible. Its too bad, because he had started to do better in the second half until they inexcusable cross check in the B1G tournament. He has reverted back into form quickly.
|52 weeks 15 hours ago||To hell with our defense and||
To hell with our defense and our goaltending. It is embarassing the way we bleed goals for both reasons when we are so good at the other end.
I just don't get how, after the entire reasons, guys STILL all watch the puck, STILL constantly blow their assignments, STILL give up odd man rushes so often, and STILL turn the puck over so much like at the end of last period.
Completely inexcusable to be able to handle the puck so well on offense and then do it like garbage in your own end.
Really don't see the defense improving without a coaching change, but we do at least have a blue chip goalie and some fresh defensive blood coming in that might at least be able to fix the obvious stuff on their own that we can't get right now.
|52 weeks 15 hours ago||FFS||
We finally get our PP, tie it up, and right on cue there's the trademark soft goal.
I guess we're going to have to rely on another 2-3 goal burst in short time likewe have far too many times this season.
Uncanny how we're being undone by literally the exact same garbage we've been screwing up all year. We just can't get out of our own way and fix our mistakes, and it is a crying shame because we have the best offense ever, just nothing else.

Seriously, how the #(*& have we not gotten a single power play! Downing had his stick snapped in two right in front of the net!
|52 weeks 16 hours ago||Same old crap in our own end.||
Same old crap in our own end. Silly turnover and we get burned by it.
Absolultey furious that we haven't gotten a power play yet though. Zero penalties on ND yesterday and today the only penalty the other team has taken was while they were already on the power play, so we only got a couple second at the end of a man advantage. Absolutely cannot believe they didn't call that hook when Kile made that move around his defender for that chance in front of the net, or any of the other things that certainly could have been called given what they've called on us.
|1 year 2 weeks ago||I forgot the movie now, but I||
I forgot the movie now, but I remember seeing the hockey team in one at some point.
The main male character was a sports writer and was on the road and it seems like the hockey team must have happened to be there at the time so they got them to dot he shot before a practice or something. From what I recall, the whole team made fun of him while he was talking to his girl on the phone.
Whatever it was, I had absolutely no prior knowledge of it, and was shocked as hell to see it happen.
There is also the brief playing of "The Victors" in Big Fish, which is a little odd since the movie features characters who went to Auburn and it sort of just happens for no reason.
|1 year 4 weeks ago||So glad we're getting a new||
So glad we're getting a new goalie next year. Really hope he pans out, we need it bad.
Compared to the rest of this season this was a decent defensive effort and so of course Racine lets in a bad goal and an absolutely unforgiveable goal in the biggest game of the season, reverting back into form.
Absolutely pathetic that we can't win this conference with this offense. MSU and Wisconsin have two of the worst teams in thier history and we've dropped 5 points between them, too.

|1 year 7 weeks ago||I think it's fair. Intent or||
I think it's fair. Intent or not, it's an illegal hit and absolutely deserves a suspension, for which the standard is usually one game.
I don't think I've ever seen a guy get more than one game unless they were repeat offenders (looking at you Downing) or did something Conboy/Tropp level. You an argue whether that is enough or not, but it is definitely consistent with what I've seen the past couple years when I've noticed suspensions.
I thought the Martin/Dancs suspensions were appropriate too. Dancs got the one he should have gotten in the first place and Martin got one that comes standard with a DQ and one extra for striking through an official. (Despite the outrage over the punch itself, I am thinking it likely the extra game was given for continuing after the official tried to separate them. That OSU guy had retribution coming for what he had done just prior to that whether it was then and there or later this year and I think the punch itself was probably recognized as coming with the DQ he got anyway)
Note, of course, that I am not counting the extra game they got that was applies for the U18 game. Really doubt those extra games happen if our next game hadn't been an exhibition and I think that was really more of an opportunity to make the punishment look more severe to try and prevent it from happening again between them later.
