with no extradition treaties with the USA?
|8 min 23 sec ago||Just to piggyback on that.||
the stock market as a whole has performed much better over the last few years. 2008 was the worst year since 1931.

Do people really talk like that?
|20 hours 16 min ago||One of my closest friends||
is a head coach of another sport at one of those schools. They actually win but have had their budget cut. He's long wished they would drop football. It's going to be a big money loser for the foreseeable future. The administration claims football provides valuable publicity and helps with donations. He thinks it's more ego driven.
|21 hours 29 min ago||Sorry, but that's not right.||
EMU's revenue was over 80% from subsidies. That's not earning money. That's the school and students giving the AD money to cover expenses. WMU and CMU lost less money, though still quite a bit. All three would be better off financially if they gave up Div-1 football, especially EMU.

Should be a great matchup of the two best teams this season.
|2 days 4 hours ago||I find this hilarious in conjunction with all the||
criticism of the Lions for not locking up Suh a couple of years before his contract ran out. Even in hindsight, signing Cabrera was the right move. What would they do with the money if they let him walk?
|3 days 21 hours ago||Winovich||
I'll be very surprised if he stays on offense. They needed to move someone to TE for the spring due to injuries.
|3 days 22 hours ago||I have to disagree on one point.||
All kids should be looking past college when they choose a school, whether they're athletes or not. While it's not wise to think only about the NFL, it makes a lot of sense to choose a school whose coaches will help you get there. That, along with the education they offer, should mean a lot more than the relative chances of winning a championship.

these camps banned, then Meyer must really want an end to oversigning.
In all seriousness, if anyone thought Harbaugh would go about this in a timid or half-assed way, they need to readjust their expectations. I think these satellite camps are here to stay. It looks to me like even the SEC expects that.
|4 days 5 hours ago||They were offered on the same day and if memory||
serves, Morris was offered first.
Being in Winston's or Bridges' top 5 doesn't really mean much. Winston is considered a near lock to choose between us and MSU. Bridges doesn't have an offer.
|4 days 22 hours ago||Small correction;||
Beilein won't offer any 2017 prospects until June 15, not June 1.
|5 days 4 hours ago||Plenty of people at Michigan agree with this.||
And others are concerned about public perception. I don't know if this story will have any legs, but I'd be surprised if Michigan announced a deal with Nike while it was still in the news. I dare say that taking $4M/year less to sign with Nike would trigger some calls to investigate the deal.
|5 days 4 hours ago||Probably a better record, but Rudock would have||
had a bad game or three just like he did at Iowa. I doubt he makes more plays than Gardner did, or even as many. The advantage would have been fewer turnovers. That's a big factor, but Utah and Minesota were better than us last year.
Rudock is looking like potentially a big upgrade this season, much more so than he would have been last season.
|5 days 4 hours ago||Not quite.||
Scott Dreisbach was the starter in 1995 and 1996. Playing time opened up for Griese because of Dreisbach's injuries. Maybe Dreisbach would have had a long career in the NFL had he stayed healthy, but he didn't.
Griese didn't look ready when forced into action in 1995. He was good by his senior year and beat out Brady, who's looked pretty darn good ever since then.
|5 days 21 hours ago||It really can't be Mack or Robertson based on||
Webb's comments since that tweet. He has Michigan still being behind MSU (Robertson) and OSU (Mack) for them.
|5 days 21 hours ago||That's something Magnus does.||
Ex-Wolverine Encyclopedia is a nice feature on his website.
|5 days 23 hours ago||Why would a Detroit kid worry about a backlash||
from PSU fans? He'd probably worry more about the reaction of his HS coach.
|5 days 23 hours ago||There are high schools in Texas that could easily beat EMU,||
in attendandce at their home games. On the field, I doubt that.
|6 days 6 hours ago||I want to be practical,||
but it really, really sucks if that kind of behavior would push any school to sign with Nike, let alone Michigan.
|6 days 16 hours ago||You're making it sound like Pitt was ducking the games.||
It was PSU and Paterno that were doing so, definitely not Pitt.
|6 days 22 hours ago||What?||
If they take the medical hardship they're done playing. They would no longer count against the scholarship limits although their education would continue to be paid for. You seem to be thinking of them taking a redshirt, although I don't see how that would lead to your conclusion.
|6 days 23 hours ago||In what crazy world is that scenario plausible?||
You need a reason Harbaugh would block that transfer. Good luck with that.
Then you have Auburn taking a PR hit without a peep from them, Countess or anyone else. If Harbaugh was blocking Countess from transferring there, we would have heard plenty about it. Especially since that's where he wanted to go.
|1 week 20 hours ago||That's true, but he has less crediility||
than in his pre-Lions days.
|1 week 1 day ago||Putting in five of the teams is impressive.||
As long as the SEC praise is limited to softball it won't bother me.

of those who gave their lives. Our soldiers' sacrfice and bravery has been shared by those left behind.
|1 week 1 day ago||Of course.||
That's what Beilein has done with most, if not all, of his late offers.
|1 week 1 day ago||Oh come on.||
His family still ives in Flint and he's not in school year round.
Beilein knows what he's doing. I like that he has consistent and clear policies. He also doesn't offer until receiving satisfactory transcripts.
