He got pummeled by the oldest player in baseball when he charged Nolan Ryan.
|1 day 6 hours ago||Makes sense in theory, but are those guys actually doing that?||
There aren't many crystal balls on the site for recruits to flip.
|1 day 6 hours ago||There's no major incentive for Webb here.||
At least I can't see it. There are so many recruiting stories to follow .This one isn't particularly high on the list and Sam hasn't been pushing it. If you were talking about Jaylen Brown, maybe. Sam's not always right, of course, but does anyone have a better track record with their predictions?
|1 day 12 hours ago||If a player participates in multiple sports including football,||
the scholarship always counts against football. If he plays basketball, but not football, it always counts against basketball. It's automatic, according to NCAA Rules.
|1 day 14 hours ago||Probably not quite that high, but easily the highest||
percentage for football.
|1 day 14 hours ago||There's about 4 times as many players in the NFL||
as in the NBA. The numbers change drastically when you compare the spots for specific positions though.
The NBA pays better and has no-cut contracts. Basketball players can also make a good living overseas and can start their pro career sooner. If we're talking abut the #1 basketball player in his class, the decision should be a no-brainer.

It brought the academic integrity and administrationt of the school into question. At a minimum it did a lot of damage to one academic department. While everyone could agree that it was a bad thing, agreeing how to fix things is not so simple.
|1 day 16 hours ago||I can't imagine it's actually going to happen,||
but if fall classes were cancelled that would be the biggest university news story of my lifetime. The NCAA would make all of their athletes able to freely transfer and be immediately eligible. It woulld amount to a self imposed death penalty in all sports.
I don't see how any of the discussion needs to be partisan. That's the type of scenario that practically no politician would risk.
|1 day 16 hours ago||I agree. Mental toughness is probably the most important||
attribute in many competitive endeavors. It is in my field. Very few of us acquired it from football.
|2 days 6 hours ago||Obviously the coaches can't comment on recruits,||
but Harbaugh was recruiting other QBs hard while DeWeaver was committed. That seems to have stopped with Peters in the class.
|2 days 10 hours ago||How about the quality of life of their families||
that take care of these former players? This money could make a lot of difference to them.
Nothing is preventing the NFL from donating another $1B to go into research. That makes an awful lot more sense to me than saying the the former players should be making that contribution.
|2 days 12 hours ago||You can't hold on to what you don't have.||
GRIII committed very, very early. Beilein was on Kennard early too, but he was always more interested in getting other offers. He was gone the moment Kentucky showed interest. Booker was never close to committing, probably never even leaning towards Michigan.

When you say silly things like "Everyone is OK with Michigan football being irrelevant. I'm not." you're doing nothing more than begging for negative comments. You're basically attacking everyone who doesn't join in your criticism.
Let's be honest. We can't have an informed opinion about how good a prospect this kid is. There's practically nothing for us to go on. Harbaugh and his staff do know more than his stats from last season. I, for one, am going to assume that he's seen something that made him offer so early. Most of the 2017 offers have been to very highly regarded prospects. You're welcome to disagree and claim it's only because his father played for Bo. However, we should both hope I'm the one who's right.
|4 days 11 hours ago||Get some perspective.||
Is Harbaugh OK with Michigan being irrelevant? Do you doubt that he knows what it takes to build a winning program? If you can honestly answer yes, then continue your silly bitching.

Wagner's sounds high compared to HS.

|1 week 11 hours ago||Who wouldn't be a regular Final Four contender||
if given Kentucky's talent? Calipari could disappear and let his assistants run things and they still would have been favored.
|1 week 12 hours ago||Caris grew after arriving here.||
It's not uncommon for a 16 year old to keep growing taller. I grew a lot after my 17th birthday.
|1 week 12 hours ago||So what? We'll either have Irvin or his replacement in 2016.||
|1 week 18 hours ago||He still has to get through the NCAA clearinghouse.||
That's not automatic for foreign recruits and the result isn't known yet.
|1 week 1 day ago||When Hatch got in a game early, I thought that||
was a pretty good indication this might be his only year on scholarship. He seemed like a certain redshir candidate otherwise.
|1 week 1 day ago||That assertion was just wrong, but I don't think Hatch||
becoming a walkon is realistic. That would indicate that he thinks he can play well enough to contribute to the team. If that's the case, I expect Beilein would keep him on scholarship. If Austin doesn't think he'll recover to the point of playing high D-1 basketball, that's when he'll be offered the medical hardship. I'm certain they have already discussed this. I can't imagine Beilein recruiting for his spot otherwise.
|1 week 1 day ago||I don't believe that's true at all.||
Scholarships go to the walkons that contribute the most. Kovacs, for example, made the team in student tryouts. Being a preferred walkon means you're guaranteed a spot on the team.
|1 week 3 days ago||You're absolutely right that Meyer didn't oversign at Florida.||
Was that due to Florida's policy or his own? There has been talk that Meyer was unhappy that he was put at a relative disadvantage in the SEC because of that policy. From where I sit, he's now at a place that lets him do whatever he wants as long as he wins.
|1 week 3 days ago||They certainly wouldn't prevent OSU from releasing||
that bit of news, nor Dean's family from releasing the results, would they?
|1 week 4 days ago||Dean's family has gotten a second opinion||
that says otherwise. Will OSU agree to get another opinion from a respected and independent source? If what you say is true, that should take care of the bad publicity in a hurry.
|1 week 4 days ago||This is so completely different as to be utterly ridiculous.||
We are only over the limit if you count scholarships for 3 walkons. Then we're 1 over. We can wait until fall for attrition to open that last one up. I'd be shocked if the staff didn't already know about at least one player that won't be back. Worst case scenario probably doesn't even apply, but it's about rewarding walkons.
OSU is over the limit not counting any walkons who may deserve scholarships. They absolutely have to get to 85 by fall. On signing day, Urban admitted he didn't know how they would get there, but there were some injuries to consider. Does anyone believe their medical decisions aren't affected by their oversigning?
|1 week 4 days ago||Hardaway had no chance of getting drafted||
after his sophomore year. He didn't go in the first round the next year because he got some exposure in the title run. He was already on the NBA's radar and moved up after the combine and workouts.
|1 week 4 days ago||I'll go with the under, but whoever commits will be a||
surprise, so Ace won't have any Hello posts ready to go.
|1 week 5 days ago||To be fair,||
Harbaugh knows Hoke pretty well and is relying on his players. Moeller and Carr were on Bo's staff when Jim played and they are still in town. Does he know RR at all? Probably not.
