if your boss even suspects you have political views they don't like. There are specific protections spelled out based on gender, race, religion, etc. They don't apply to exercizing your freedom of speech or many other things you may take for granted.

It's a move that was long overdue. Even their coach knew that. Hollis barely pays attention to sports other than football and men's basketball. He's not some evil genius.
|5 days 3 hours ago||He was coaching a kid's team.||
A friend of mine's son played for him.
|6 days 1 hour ago||That's a misconception.||
The Kalamazoo Promise pays tuition. A full ride athletic scholarship provides a lot more than that.

That alone puts hers ahead of many in her industry.

doesn't look at the late games, Wisconsin as an 8 seed should convince you otherwise. We would haven been there with a loss.
|2 weeks 8 hours ago||They were ranked #15||
and the Big Ten was very strong. Indiana and OSU were both top 5 teams and we tied for 3rd. They should have been a 4 or 5 seed. There was no justification for making them a 6. As I recall, it was the most criticized part of the bracket nationally.
|2 weeks 10 hours ago||badly underseeded||
not going to speculate on why
|2 weeks 10 hours ago||Yeah, exactly .Who should be instead of MSU?||
I'm rooting hard for URI, just to lessen the chance of Syracuse sneaking in.
|2 weeks 10 hours ago||If that were true it would be smart to schedule late games.||
That way a bubble team (or worse) that makes the finals would be sure to get in
They do use the results of late games when they are are either important (1 seeds or in/out) or easy to do (switching the two teams). The only question I have is whether they think we should be ahead of Wisconsin even if we win. Not a sure thing.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||I think they are going to have the bracket drawn up||
before our game ends. One spot will be for the winner of our game, another for the loser. All they will do after the game is fill in those names. I don't think we'll see them moving more teams around just to adjust for a 5, 6 or 7 seed.
They might just ignore it altogether though if they think Wisco should be ahead of us even if they lose.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||I think it's very difficult for schools to control the narrative||
in cases like this. While the names might circulate on the internet, but you don't see and hear the mainstream media speculating about them or much else. As long as there is an active investigation going on, that's not likely to change. I'm not seeing much benefit to MSU in releasing more info at this time.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Why would that only be happening to McDowell?||
|2 weeks 6 days ago||He's originally from South Carolina||
|3 weeks 1 day ago||He should pull double duty and work out with the DBs,||
like Jabril is doing.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||6'2", 195 is good size for an outside WR.||
Doesn't make me think slot receiver.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||Freeze quote from their video response:||
“From the moment I arrived in December 2011, I have emphasized to all of my staff that our program is founded on certain core values — faith, attitude, mental toughness, integrity and love,”
He has every right to talk about his faith, but it shouldn't be a core value of a program at a public school.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||OSU only got a one year post-season ban.||
They made the questionable decision not to take it Fickell's season.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||More likely that would be Scott Turner.||
It was supposed to be Michael Johnson, wasn't it? Sounds like they want someone to help Pep.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||100% people would blame the NCAA for whatever decision they made||
probably including the OP. There are legitimate things to complain about, Why this? It's just being petty.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||Hah. His son was reportedly already an Oregon lean.||
Harbaugh didn't need to call Taggert for anything.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||MSU is off to a very good start to 2018||
recruiting. 3 commits, all 4*. Surprising, considered how they finished the 2017 class.
|5 weeks 4 days ago||The 1 and 1 adds some strategy to the game.||
Defense can play more aggressively when the penalty for fouls is less. On the other hand, if you don't foul as much you have a better chance to make up a late defecit by putting the opponent on the line.
The one and one also rewards skill, or punishes a lack of it, more than going straight to two free throws.
|5 weeks 4 days ago||There was an allegation from one of Sandusky's||
early victims that JoePa did the same thing.
|5 weeks 4 days ago||Dakich should apologize and say||
not all MSU people are whiners, that he was mostly thinking about Izzo. Also that 1% of MSU students could have gotten into Michigan.
In all seriousness, Dakich is more of a troll on Twitter than I'd expect from a sports broadcaster.
|5 weeks 4 days ago||How easy is it to take away a pension?||
I don't know, but that should be very hard to do. I wouldn't call a retirement while under suspension graceful. If I were an administrator, I'd be inclined to accept it and revisit her status as more evidence came out.
|5 weeks 5 days ago||No, it's not. Blackwell is not Sandusky.||
He's the guy being accused (or so we think) of attempting a coverup.
|5 weeks 5 days ago||Yeah, but Blackwell and Paterno are light years apart||
in terms of how invested fans are in them. Substitute Izzo for Blackwell and the mood at MSU would be a lot different.
|5 weeks 5 days ago||Sounds very reasonable, but that's not how it would work||
in practice. There would be some legitimate jobs and endorsement deals for college athletes, but the big money would go to high school recruits. Nothing is more important for a success of a team than recruiting and that's where the bagmen will continue to focus their efforts. Making it legal will make it more widespread and greatly raise the amounts offered. I would also expect to see offers to induce transfers. Why not?
You can argue about whether this is good or bad, but it's opening a new can of worms. Either that or we add a new level of bureaucracy where the NCAA approves every payment.
