During one of the replays of

During one of the replays of Denard's long TD, at the 0:47 mark, you can see Indiana defender #51 throwing his hand up - maybe in desperation - signaling TD - or maybe he's just excited to see Denard in action...

cross division rivals

When I first heard this, I thought they had split each team from it's traditional end of season rival - i.e. M opposite OSU, MSU opposite, PSU etc. but then PU and IU  are in the same divisions.

If they switched maybe Indiana for either Iowa or Minnesota, I'd at least accept their reasoning...

Or the trivia question was about JT Turner...

2005

It's actually from the 2005 game - good kickoff to the year of infinite pain

similar or me

When they moved me 4 years ago I went 2 sections and 70 rows. It's too low and crowded down there - I asked the next year to be moved back into the 90s somewhere and they did.

Mine didn't move

Mine didn't move, but wasn't there a letter that came out over the winter saying that some seats would be moved basically in preparation of the ailse widening etc. that is coming next year?

My seats did get moved when they moved the visiting section to the upper end zone a few years ago. But other than situations like that, I don't think they move you unless you ask.

Copey

I think he mentioned on the air that his responsibilities on 107.1 were ramping up so he was not going to be a regular on WTKA. He has called in a few times since.

WDFN

Ryan Ermani was talking a little about this on WDFN earlier - he said something like "Woodson has admitted to taking money."

I don't know where he got that information, I was worried when I saw this thread that it was true...

Pharmacy school is a great choice

Although I'm not who you asked, I will answer about Pharmacy School. I got my Pharm D after my original degree in Secondary Ed yielded me nothing but sub jobs.

After pharmacy school I worked retail for about 2 years then took a job at Parke-Davis -> Pfizer. I worked there for 8 years and when they decided to depart AA, I chose to stay. Now I work at a Hemophilia specialty pharmacy right downtown in AA.

Knowing I had this degree meant we didn't have to chase Pfizer to CT to keep a decent job. I highly recommend Pharmacy School - I think the opportunities are great.

75 jerseys

My favorite part was the tight Blue-Maize-Blue sleeve striping. Not sure it would still work on the new (essentially) no sleeve jerseys.

Taken too far

Isn't that kind of loyalty essentially what Bill Ford has done for 50 years with the Lions? Loyalty is important, but My loyalty is to Michigan. I want RR to succeed because I want M to succeed. I wasn't loyal to Brian Ellerbe after it became clear he was not good for the M Basketball program.

I've never heard him on the GR station But Sean is HUGE college football fan. Although he admits to being very pro-MSU, he is generally fair during his show on DFN. He was a big believer in RR when M hired him.
But at least your big But at least your big Two-Hearted River was in the right place
Checklist In Denver I actually saw a family that had a checklist of the NCAA Hockey Programs to check off the different jerseys etc. they saw. The last time I saw them they were only missing 1 or 2 schools.
frontier Glad to hear such good things about Frontier. I'm flying Frontier from DTW-Denver-SLC in August. It is a little disconcerting that I can't get seat assignemtns until the day before the flight though...
Yes, NMU is in According to Jayson Moy of USCHO
Lynch Again!!!

GOAL!!! LYNCH!!!
swoopo If you feel lucky and can risk 60 cents per bid try swoopo
Awarding national Awarding national championships before bowl games makes me laugh. I think there used to be a basketball equivalent. I remember seeing a picture of Johnny Orr (and I think Rickey Green - maybe Steve Grote) accepting the 1977 national championship trophy from AP or UPI - never mind Marquette winning that pesky tournament. (my google skills seems to be failing me, I can't find the photo)
one bit of caution In the basketball tournament this enforcement of the bylaw was essentially pushed by the big conferences so they didn't "lose" a spot to the smaller new conferences. In football if the threat was "to follow the by-law we can only have 4 auto bids." I think there is more of a chance the BCS conferences would push to change the by-laws...
But why? We all wanted another shot at them in 2006...
What if they skipped defined divisions? The other conferences have shown that often the best 2 teams are in the same division. Right now each school has 2 they always play why not add a third school (maybe make the LBJ a guaranteed game every year for M). Then each school could play half of the remaining conference schools, retaining an 8 game conference schedule. The teams with the 2 best records play in the championship game.
Or drop Gold out since his Or drop Gold out since his last season was 1999.
the "BCS isn't stupid" website the "BCS isn't stupid website" reminds me of the sites created to question the science with smoking/green house gasses/etc. I'm sure Rachel Maddow will investigate who funded the site...
TWiS Is Brian going to have to quote himself in TWiS?
Couldn't agree more. How many Couldn't agree more. How many times is JJ going to quote his book from Woody Hayes?
Caputo is an idiot but a consistent idiot - in the past I've heard him make the same argument for MSU.
#3 was the first thing I #3 was the first thing I thought as well. Let's not make this the equivalent of the Tigers turning every emergency start AAA pitcher into star.
One thing I find really One thing I find really interesting is how the BCS has changed it. Lately it is tough to keep it away from the "best" teams. But in the past it managed to avoid some of the all-time juggernauts. Oklahoma's 47 game win streak is missed all-together.
I heard he's guest hosting I heard he's guest hosting for Sam Webb on WTKA later this week.
I've got quite a dorked out I've got quite a dorked out spreadsheet that captures turf type, attendance, starting QB, M and opponents AP ranking.. I break it out into stupid predictions every week here
1/2 MNC already down. I was 1/2 MNC already down. I was at the 1998 Rose Bowl!
I don't think you want to, I don't think you want to, 1967 was not a very good season
13-0 I made it to 13-0, then we went to Iowa City for the #1 vs #2 match up in 1985. Damn Rob Houghtlin...
It will turn around The win percentage in games I've attended fell back below 80% last season (and again after the MSU game). It hadn't been in the 70%'s since the 1988 loss to Miami (yes that Miami) - or actually since the victory over Wake Forest the next week...
first game Homecoming 1976 against Minnesota in the rain. Ricky Leach and the Wolverines 45, Tony Dungy and the gophers 0...
Battle of Delta County tonight Gladstone plays Escanaba tonight, I think...
Navarre He was bad against UCLA and the first half at Illinois - but as I recall, he was better than expected in the two opening games.
Linda was great Linda was great in "Green Acres" and on the Hollywood Squares when I was a kid.
how much blame How much blame goes to 3-and-out after the interception, leading to the 10 minute 130 yard drive? Seemed like the D had 3-8 chances to get off the field... 1st Quarter TOP difference is entirely on the D.
NFL timing rules Why would you not want more football? The NFL rules on timing seem designed to shorten the game by cutting out the actual football. Maybe the NFL could cut the run time of games by getting rid of the - score - TV timeout - KO - TV timeout - instead of actually taking away football plays...
Haithcock's response Here is what I received as a reply from Haithcock: The band can play no louder, it is not physically possible to replicate the sound of those speakers as acoustical instruments are very directional. Enhancing the sound electronically, from the band, is against Big 10 conference rules as was recently confirmed by the athletic administration when the football staff discussed amplifying the MMB. All sports are programmed by the athletic game day management staff. The band is "not allowing" this to happen, it is being dictated to us by the people who are in charge of the event. The coaches, the coaches wives, and the players are all clamoring for piped in music. The athletic department is trying to have a balance between the traditional and what is "new". The expectation at professional events is trickling down to the college ranks and what is collegiate is trickling up to the pro's (as in the Pistons drum line). Regret that we can not make you happy on this one. Thanks for your interest and taking the time to write. Michael Haithcock
Welcome back? . yes? . yes! .
Sand? What's the deal with the line from Illinois Loyalty: We know you have sand...
freshman eligibility I don't think freshman were eligible until 1972, that would explain the lack of anyone playing as freshman.
Last championing of Mike Evans I think you've got Mike Evans and his younger brother Stephen mixed up in the bolding. I'm embarassed to admit that I went to the Bentley M football site and checked the 1988 and 1989 team photos. Mike Evans is wearing 92 in both photos (not 61 as the rosters claim). He was a 2 1/2 year starter on 4 conference champion teams. I think he is the hands down best on the list.
All but one I've seen M play in at all the Big Ten schools except Minnesota. Columbus in 1998 was the only place I've been scared. It was one of Cooper's only wins vs. M and the fans had a lot of built up emotion. We'll go to Minnesota once M plays in their new campus stadium.
