But Michigan fans up and down the west coast should be extremely eager to see them in LA. whens the last time Michigan Basketball came out this west?

Also at least UNC will have to travel extra far this time.

Yep

Same here. Can't remember the last time Michigan ever played basketball this close to the Bay Area.

Not bad.

All things considered can't complain too much.

.

- We got 3 seed
- There are no 'home teams' in Wichita
- MSU got Detroit, but they have a much stronger bracket
- Probably the easiest region of the four
- If we face North Carolina, it will be in Los Angeles. Tons of Michigan alumni in LA, San Diego(right?), and droves should drive down from the San Francisco Bay area.

- North Carolina loss this year was an away game, and the guys on our team will be eager for a rematch.

Yeah

Agreed. We got 3 seed,  Wichita is neutral site for all teams, MSU has a much stronger bracket, and we have a relatively easy region.

Also, if we face North Carolina, it will be in Los Angeles. Tons of Michigan alumni in LA, San Diego, and  San Francisco.

Point?

Could he be a point guard? I feel if he can, he'd be dynamite in the NBA

Oh

Oh the irony. Pot calling the kettle blah blah

But

The problem is, even I thought he was a pretty good hire at the time.

Alabama had tried their best to hire RichRod the year before, and his offense was the best show in town with Pat White and Slaton, not to mention he was the creator of the read spread whatever offense. He even had a decent defense at the time.

Yeah

It gets old sometimes. Today I took a nap, and when I woke up I remembered there was a game that just ended. I just shrugged.

Doesn't mean I won't keep paying attention. And either way at the end of the day, its just a game I enjoy a lot watching our guys compete.

Eh

So a bunch of guys ran into each other going the other way at a crowded intersection, after a few beers, at a bowling ally, and escalated.

Nothing to see here, but Mo, you gonna get drafted pretty soon, don't do anything weird!!

Ha

You're the guy that was criticizing a perfectly nice summary first place, don't try to play the victim here.

I feel your pain

No matter how much I tried, the emotional pain, frustration, all of that would pop up again and again. Sure my brain knows its kid throwing around a pigskin, and my family, faith, and job are way more important, but you can't just turn that switch off, you know?

All these people lecturing you about life is more important blah blah blah blah. Bless them, but tell us something we don't know right?

So nowadays, I don't watch the actual games. I religiously follow recruiting and MgoBlog, but the actual games I'll just check up on the score afterwards. I'll schedule something fun to do with the family, and I only watch if I'm absolutely sure we're gonna win.

Its my way of compromising and coping. I can't change who I am, at least suddenly, so I just lessen my emotional exposure duing game time, go to a park and have fun.

Sure it stings when we lose, but I think it stings a lot less than having to watch the entire game.

Yeah people can call me a wussy, whatever. Its my way of coping, it works, me and my family are happy, and I'm still devoted to Michigan as ever.

Not enough data

Honestly we don't have enough data to make a decision CURRENTLY imo.

If Speight is not healthy, it doesn't matter. But if Speight IS healthy, we have to get more data by starting O'Korn.

Obviously the price for getting this data is that he might be bad and we lose to Michigan State or even Indiana.

Would that be worth it to see if O'Korn is good enough? It's dicy, but O'Korn looked good and our defense is lights out, so its probably worth the price!

Uh

Explosive diarrhea?

NO!!!

Brian Kelly is an amazing super spectacular coach and should be at Notre Dame forever and ever and ever.

Sorry, what I was trying to

Sorry, what I was trying to say is that especially at work people try to be civil and respectful of each other. Why can't we do that in normal life as well?

Yeah I remember saying the

Yeah I remember saying the saaaaaame thing to my professor back in college, when he was talking about racism. Glad to see you can handle things just fine.

I meant the youtube site is

I meant the youtube site is famous for flaming comments. And if there are videos making fun of southern folks, than yeah that s a problem too. And guess what, those southern folks would know better what is acceptable or not than the northern audience who is doing the laughing.

I don't think TV networks are conspiring to demean Asian children either, only that this network piece was in the wrong. But thanks for assuming what my worldview is, and twisting my words. I'd assume your worldview is that everything is cool if its cool with you, but I think you're a better person than that.

I never said it was racist,

I never said it was racist, but if you think a major TV network targeting and mocking a group because of their race is no problem at all, count your luck stars you're not asian. And yes, America is a relatively race friendly environment. But it doesn't mean we can still make things better.

Are you honestly comparing

Are you honestly comparing random comments from strangers on a message board famous for flaming comments, with a major, national TV network purposely targeting, mocking, and broadcasting an entire minorty group?

No, its not a dastardly plot to fuel hatred, but Asians have been mocked and ridiculed for centuries because people seem to think its OK. Sure the adults can handle it, but what adults do children copy, and would you want your children made fun of? Why not let it stop? No TV network purposely mocks blacks or jews unless its their own race doing a self depricating joke.

Really, mock any race or sex

Really, mock any race or sex at a normal workplace 'for fun' and likely your boss will call you into his/her office. Why can't America strive for higher values where everyone is respected for who they are?

Except they didn't. Why?

Except they didn't. Why? Because its much more fun to laugh at and make fools of Asians, accents, etc etc. You won't find a video like this about whites, blacks or jews. Then why asians?

Nice job twisting his words.

Nice job twisting his words. He obviously meant to say that people who have actually walked in certain shoes are better qualifed to speak about their experiences.

Why don't you see if

Why don't you see if yourself, or your children experience anything similar and you'll still be saying the not a big deal line.

Facts as in

the yards ND gained and allowed, which were very decent bro.

Most turnovers are a matter

Most turnovers are a matter of luck yet impact the game in a huge way. ND wasn't as bad as the score was today, and we are not as good. Lets not ignore the facts too much.

I agree

I think a lot of us remember seeing Floyd play as a freshman against us and hoping he'd turn pro early. Too bad he stuck around....

mAizer

Without trying to sound like a downer, ND had more than 500 yards of offense, while they held South Florida to only 250 yards of offense. ND turned the ball over 5 times yet lost by only 3. It will be a good game next week.

RIP

Thoughts and prayers to the Dantonio family.

Niiiice

and that number will be down to 3... permanantly.

Always liked the guy

Yeah he fell short of expectations, but always though he did it the right way.

Nice

Honestly didn't think he would be this good, but glad he is!

hmm

Hope him the best, here or elsewhere.

Oh my God

to think I was pissed at a parking ticket I got today. My prayers are with Austin. Get well sir.

nice

nice childish immature comment.

The fact that he is allowing

The fact that he is allowing that some guys may be more athletic than him because they have different body types(or cannot put on good weight like Williams can)  is very nice maturity for a high schooler. Great character!

They definately have

They definately have potential. Large number of students, good academics, huge media market. And with all their alumni, there should be someone willing to donate have a billion or so to get some decent facilities.

I wonder if Buffalo really

I wonder if Buffalo really has the potential to be a good D1 team. They're pretty much located in Canada.

Now Stony Brook, on the other hand may have potential I think. Close to New York, large student population, and good academic credentials. Now all they need is money. Lots and lots of money... which doesnt grow on trees last I checked.

interesting

Umass has a student pop of almost 30 thousand. While they don't have a big stadium or other facilities, I don't see how they won't overtake Boston College(a small private school) if things grow right, and become at least on par with Rutgers and Uconn. Not to mention they're pretty near both Boston and New York.

there is also..

this one.. right after the first goal.

Ha

I agree, there is too much evidence against Tressel.

Is 97.1 a Michigan leaning station? I moved to the San Francisco area a few years ago and even here the radio shows were talking/ripping about Tressel all morning. They hardly talk about college football let alone midwest college football.

Tressel is lying through his teeth

Look at the emails. He barely writes 3~4 lines in reply to multiple full pages of information. It looks as if Tressel barely knows the guy, let alone is close enough to him that he will commit major violations to protect him.

And in the last email Tressel ASKS THE GUY FOR MORE INFO AND NAMES. Is that not another example of a coach purposely asking a guy to break his confidentiality agreement with his client?

Not once in the emails does Tressel seem the least bit concerned with the lawyer.

I also call BS that Tressel was afraid for his players. Afraid of what??? A tat shop owner with some cash who was ALREADY being nailed by the FEDS???? Whats the guy gonna do? Shoot the most popular players of the OSU team while the feds are eating donuts a block away for something(discount tats) that completely pales compared to drug charges?
