Shit, I've known that for ten years.
|21 weeks 14 hours ago||Pins||
K-wires are pretty small (.062" or .045") they are strong enough to hold the position of a metacarpal or phalanx fracture but not without external protection from a cast or splint. It is difficult to begin range of motion with the wires in place because they really irritate the soft tissue and can migrate. Usually there is enough healing at 4 weeks or so to pull the pin and begin protected range of motion in a removable splint. The fracture is healed enough for motion but not enough to withstand the stress of contact sports. I don't know the exact nature of his injury (although a metacarpal neck fracture would be the most likely if he punched something or someone), but I bet it will be at least another 3 weeks after pulling the pins before he can play unless he can somehow accomplish this in a splint.

is no Ufer.

Unless I missed it, did the B1G even comment on this? I don't expect much from Meyer but I'm surprised that a player so blatantly flipping off fans is something the Big Ten wants to promote as acceptable.
Guess we can salute the crowd in Columbus next year without repurcussions.
|34 weeks 4 days ago||You can make self deprecating comments on your weight||
all day long.
Making fun of someone like this is a cheap move and in a forum frequented by people who probably know her is bush league.

Secondly, you suck.
|35 weeks 7 hours ago||You serious, Clark?||
Does this mean there is hope for Antonio Bass' return?
|38 weeks 5 days ago||Actually, Barry could.||
He did for about 10 years. Mere mortals not so much.
|38 weeks 5 days ago||Yes, the headset was the problem.||
Not the conservative play calling.

Wonderful. They pretty much always know best. Let's just be part of the problem. Hey, it's content.
|41 weeks 2 days ago||As the father of two sons||
Now thankfully through high school who, although not division one football recruits, still had many demands on their time, I find your attitude about these concerns flippant. Taken as one request the time demands don't seem so bad. In a highly sought after recruit I'm sure it can be overwhelming. This doesn't even take into account that an adult is contacting my minor son potentially without my knowledge.
The barrage that these kids get from schools is bad enough, multiply it by the hunger for content from third party sites and it is ridiculous. Many kids love the attention-that doesn't make it any better. Kids love a lot of things that aren't necessarily in their best interest.
This will all continue and only get worse. I'm a realist. But have a kid or two of your own and get back to me on how ludicrous this point of view is.
|41 weeks 2 days ago||Yes, that's exactly what she did.||
Come on yourself. She said he looked young and said he looked as young as hers which happened to be a girl of 10. Now I know that the last thing a teenage boy wants to do is look younger but there was no malice there. Anyway, I pointed out that a few pointed out his youthful appearance and even if you deem that insulting, many of those singled out were discussing the attn on sophmores.
|41 weeks 2 days ago||A couple people pointed out he looked young in the picture||
Several of those were more concerned with third party attention on a high school sophmore for the gratuitous enjoyment of a college football fans. They said absolutely nothing to insult this young man. Agree or disagree with their position but at least represent it accurately

Until I get the one I was promised in my youth, this is the best I can get. I will trade for a flying car though. Food in pill form not so much.
|45 weeks 2 days ago||I have sat in the lower level end zone||
on the west (NW) side of the stadium (the side opposite the student section). It was filled with Penn St. season ticket holders one of whom must have sold his tickets on stub hub.
The majority of the visitors seemed to be in the corner to my left (essentially where they are in Michigan stadium).
BTW, despite the large capacity, I was wholly unimpressed with the stadium. It seemed (as it is) a poorly planned and added on collection of sections. My visit was the RichRod/McGloin debacle. Hope your experience is much better.
|45 weeks 3 days ago||Thank you.||
That is all.
|46 weeks 5 days ago||Do they show this limited close up view||
to limit the ability of opponents to scout formations, defensive schemes etc?
|46 weeks 6 days ago||My reasoning is a little different.||
If you know that there will be real consequences for violating rules and you know a school recruiting you is a shady operator, maybe just maybe you will think twice about committing there. And if you do, you only have yourself to blame for staying home on the holidays, etc.
