- Some high profile high school recruits to choose this league over a major NCAA school.
- Their 2022 (or perhaps 2021) draft class.

Thank you so much for this. This is one of my greatest pet peeves.

Peppers should have listened to us and stayed another year.

If this message appears, it means the app is working on my Galaxy S7.
Personally, the only times I've had issues with the Android app are around the time when something major is taking place and there's an increased load on the servers. And by issues I mean posts don't load and the board doesn't refresh.

True, but if NFL teams start investing their own money in the league, the landscape could drastically change. Right now, who's footing the bill for the teams? At $50k per player and 50 players per team, that's $2.5 mil per team just in salary (not including the other benefits the article listed, and costs like equipment, coach's salaries, etc). With no significant income sources (the article mentions they will be playing in small venues, so there wouldn't be significant ticket sales, which also means there wouldn't likely be any significant advertising revenue), that can only go on for so long before the money runs dry.
All that to say, the salaries appear to be currently limited by the amount of money available; as oppposed to some rule capping salaries at $50k per player. If NFL teams start investing their loads of money, then there is nothing in place that would prevent them from increasing salaries and sweetening the pot even further for high school recruits to play. That's why I think the NFL is the big wild card in this; the NCAA is limited by its by-laws and rules. And even with people who are willing to pay players under the table, they wouldn't be able to do so and compete with the extremely deep pockets of the NFL.
|10 weeks 5 days ago||This is very interesting. Off||
This is very interesting. Off the top of my head, they are going to need 2 things in order for this to be more than a flash in the pan:
If they can show that this is a viable alternative to college, and that the players in the league can get drafted, it might just take off.
And if those things happen, I wonder if the long term view of this is that NFL teams start looking to the PPFL as a sort of minor league development opportunity, and start investing their own money in the league. If that happens, then I think this could be a huge blow to the NCAA.
Lots of ifs though, and at this point it is just as likely to fizzle out like the XFL.
|10 weeks 6 days ago||Agreed. I think most around||
Agreed. I think most around here are writing PSU off because of how badly UM beat them, but they looked like a legit team by the end of the season. And I was surprised to see that Barkley will be returning; I didn't realize he was only a sophomore this year.

Are there really no bowls scheduled for NYD?
|24 weeks 2 days ago||No Marshall||
There's 8 minutes left in the 4th, the score is 71-0, and no sign of Lawrence Marshall. There's no way he's this far down the depth chart. He's either in the dog house or on his way out.

Did anyone else notice Peppers dancing to the music from his safety position? It was prior to the snap at one point in the second quarter. Made me laugh.
|26 weeks 3 days ago||I doubt Zimmerman starts||
I doubt Zimmerman starts against Cleveland. The latest update from the Tigers org is that he will be throwing a simulated game on Monday, which would likely make him unavailable to start that week. Depending on how he's feeling after Monday though, I wouldn't be surprised to see him come out of the bullpen. If he is truly healthy and is able to pitch effectively, he could be a real asset from the bullpen.

I couldn't help but laugh at the shot of Harbaugh sleeping on the plane...with his cleats on.
|26 weeks 3 days ago||This is a good point. Toronto||
This is a good point. Toronto and Baltimore both have tough schedules the rest of the way, including a 3-game series against each other. That series could eliminate one of them from the race - they both need to hope for a 2/1 series outcome, rather than a sweep. If a sweep does happen there, that will likely eliminate the loser and solidify the winner's playoff spot.
This is exciting, but I guess I don't have much faith right now that the Tigers can hold on.
|27 weeks 13 hours ago||This is actually pretty much||
This is actually pretty much the answer. Woodson has laid the blueprint. It will take plays like interceptions, more touchdowns, and adding to his other highlight reel plays to make it.
|27 weeks 2 days ago||Agreed||
I think he has even regressed since the first couple weeks this season. From his first couple kicks, I thought I could see a difference in his game - the ball just wasn't flying off his foot like normal. Then the first fg attempt i thought something wrong. He usually gets good loft and hang time. I hope he's not injured. Maybe just needs some rest?
|27 weeks 2 days ago||We got lucky||
The secondary was exposed here, especially the safeties. We really need Lewis. Stribling seemed fine. As amazing as Peppers is, his coverage seems to be the weak part of his game. It seemed like Brown made some adjustments after that first quarter, but even so, we got lucky that Liufau got hurt.
|28 weeks 2 days ago||This was my take||
Both sides of the ball felt sloppy today, so I took it from a perspective of the starters hadn't earned the right to take a rest. I know it was a blow out, but too many sloppy plays.
I also think it could be for conditioning purposes/getting younger players used to the grind of playing deep into the second half.
Or maybe this is just what Harbaugh had planned from the beginning.
|29 weeks 6 days ago||Per ESPN's article: He||
Per ESPN's article:
Unless that's a typo, I'm a little confused. He's right-handed, right? Meaning that when dropping back, his plant foot would be his right foot...but he was holding his left leg?
Either way, that sucks to hear. Good kid and was shaping up for a great year.
|30 weeks 3 days ago||Well said||
My brother is active duty Army, stationed state-side currently. He's looking at a potential deployment to the Middle East in the months ahead, meaning time away from his wife and 2 daughters. Not to mention being in a volatile region. I am extremely proud of him and everyone else who serves and makes sacrifices for our country.
|33 weeks 3 days ago||Maybe this is a dumb question||
But Shane is still on the roster according to MGoBlue. Why does everyone seem to think he's out of the race? You don't think the redshirt year under Harbaugh has benefited him?

I'm actually doing a project at work with SFU. Hadn't heard of them before the project started, certainly never expected to see them mentioned on MGoBlog.

Song and dance with Time Warner. Got the monthly price reduced for 6 months. Definitely will be going through it again. It's dumb.

As attractive as Sling's price point is, I've heard that its performance and reliability has been sub-par. I'd be interested to hear people's personal interactions with it, as well as anyone in the existing markets for PS Vue who have tried it out.

I did update the firmware a few months ago and I don't remember doing a reset afterwards. I'll give that a shot - thanks!
|1 year 5 weeks ago||This is interesting and may||
This is interesting and may explain why I'm not seeing the 5 GHz band on my laptop. I upgraded to Win 10 a few months ago. Though I checked my wireless driver (an Intel Wireless-N 7260), and the latest update for it was just in January.
That may not necessarily mean it was upgraded to work with Win 10, but either way, it doesn't explain why I'm not seeing the 5 GHz band on my Android devices.
