It means they will rigress (which I always assumed was a female rig)--duh.

Then we would be Florida--mercifully that play of two Florida players blocking each other has possibly supplanted the unblocked Clowney hit on Vincent Smith as the ESPN favorite clip to endlessly play(tm)

As far as I know, law is the only field where students run most of the major scholarly periodicals. Law students do a fine job editing and reviewing the scholarly works (from professors mostly, and some from other students). I understand that a news gathering operation is different from a stuffier scholarly periodical, but I see no reason why students could not put together very good local, sports, and arts coverage. Fields that are more relationship-based where the players are outside the local community (state or national politics, for instance) are much more difficult for the constant personnel churn of a student paper. But that leaves a lot of space for student newspapers to fill.

Do you think that Ohio fans would poop in a water cooler? It's a higher degree of difficulty than a beer cooler, but because it is more disgusting I'll bet somebody has been game...

Wasn't Malcolm Hill one of their best players this past year when he started making regular appearances in the starting lineup (coinciding with their hot streak)? If my memory is correct, it seems hard to believe that he will be a candidate for losing his starting spot.

Don't be so dismissive...I heard that this "Nik Stauskas" character had a gut feeling about the next moves of Nik Stauskas. And he's the type of guy whose gut feelings you should trust.

A coach coaching one of his players to do probably what he should have done all along, the coach calling himself out in the mildest way possible after the fact and taking heaps of credit for all improvement. Like that idiot Rosenberg said about coach Cal: "always selling"...

Kevin Grady is driving it, and Frank Clark (with one season to go) is angling for co-pilot. The spirits of Justin Turner and Demar Dorsey watch over it from afar.

And even if there are some defections to the NBA, the future of basketball sure looks bright!

...because if DGB was at LSU, he would have had to get arrested first before the team could even vote on dismissal, a la Jeremy Hill.
Oh wait...what's that you say about Hill and the Honey Badger staying on the team?
|5 days 19 hours ago||First off: an offensive||
First off: an offensive performance like that against any team, much a rival, is unacceptable. It should put an OC on the hot seat at least, and Borges was fired.
On the other hand: If Borges' scheme was really that bad, then it should change how we look at the other offensive coaches and the players. Just as it was not a great indication of the skill leval of Michigan's defensive players when Tony Gibson was a shadow-DC, the failures of the offense last year may yet be more Borges' fault than anybody else.
Of course, this does not mean that Michigan has a stable of potential All Americans lining up with outstanding coaches with Borges gone, but the success in spite of Borges gives some hope that Michigan could achieve in the future against good defenses.
|5 days 22 hours ago||Silver lining:||
Michigan still put up over 40 against the Fig Things and Ohio with that "shitty offense". Either a commentary on the offensive personnel being better than we thought, or that Urban had better upgrade the Ohio defense's coloring books--er, playbooks.
|6 days 15 hours ago||Yeah||
50k against a post-college desk job had better be a longer-term loan, although it could be treated like a private college tuition loan that some (many?) non-scholarship students take out if grants and government loans aren't enough.

Is Memphis's title game run still on the books? Derrick Rose is one of my favorite NBA players, but I think nobody is putting him on the all-SAT team. I'm sure Cal was shocked...Shocked! that somebody took standardized test for one of his recruits.
|1 week 4 days ago||I agree||
He is more on the Boston-NY baseball treatment by ESPN problem (hyped beyond belief whether or not one is winning), but it is the same concept as Tebow fatigue. I think few if any would argue that Tebow isn't a very high-character kid (even those that don't share his his religious views), but the incessant praise and attention makes a significant section of fans want to push back.

Every big play by the offense is good; every big play by the defense is good.
|2 weeks 20 hours ago||Exactly, they did a great job||
Exactly, they did a great job of holding Michigan's coloring book offense to only 41 points (which easily could have been 43). Sheesh, perhaps the Ohio coach shoulda looked at last year's box score first.

I'm not sure it is fair to call him a head case. Who knows why McDowell wants to go to State but he hasn't flipped his commitment ten times or been unloading in the media. I would obviously prefer he play for Michigan and it is disappointing he won't be.
