FYI, Moore's high school…

FYI, Moore's high school team didn't actually go 0-10 in 2019. They used an ineligible player and the coaching staff tried (and failed) to cover it up. They were 7-0 and the top ranked team in their class when it all came out, so they forfeited the 7 wins, fired the coaching staff, and cancelled the rest of the season. Details here.

Pairwise Update

USCHO has a nice pairwise predictor (that's much more fun if Michigan has a good season). Barring an epic collapse by BU Minnesota is in the tournament no matter what (BU is up 4-1 in the 3rd).

Come on hockey gods, let us have this one. You owe us for having every goal review go against Michigan.

Umpire here

FYI, in ncaa softball you don't have to make any attempt to avoid the ball as long as you're in the batter's box. In ncaa baseball you do have to make an attempt to avoid the pitch, otherwise it's just a ball.

Indiana would get the 1 seed

We get screwed by the tiebreakers. There's no way we can get the 1 seed, and we can only get a 2 if OSU, Wisconsin, and MSU all lose another game. Here's the seeding for the two 4-way tie scenarios:

  1. Wisconsin
  2. Ohio State
  3. Indiana
  4. Michigan

OR

  1. Indiana
  2. Ohio State
  3. Michigan
  4. Michigan State
Gus is gone from CBS

He had a contract dispute with CBS last year and was let go in early May.  He currently has a deal with Fox Sports to do college and NFL football, and to call some B1G basketball on BTN.

To expand

To expand on what MH20 said, in college (and high school and FIBA) a technical foul counts as a personal foul, a team foul, and a technical foul.  So Green's technical counted as his second personal foul, his first technical foul, and State's first team foul of the second half.

The NBA is different, there a technical foul is not counted as a personal foul or a team foul, and it result in one free throw, not two.  However, the NBA does track technical fouls over the course of the season, and after a certain point (16, I believe) the palyer/coach is suspended for a game.

High school

4 years HS as a lineman.  Listed as a C/DT, but I went to a small school, so I could (and did) play guard, tackle, and DE.  Also played 4 years of baseball.

Now officiate HS football and baseball.
