I'm never on the Boards, but my friends and I have been laughing about this one...they emailed it to me when they saw it...so I broke down and signed up.
Ok, first of all I admit that I posted a little too early after the loss and the cut was still a little too raw. I don't regret anything I said...but I should have prefaced it a little more.
Rich Rod was, bar none, the best candidate even discussed. I was thrilled with the hire...I'm still thrilled with the hire. There is no doubt the program is heading in the right direction and the future is bright. I thought after the game and I'm still convinced that we were outcoached. It happens. Bo was a god to me, but he was still outcoached from time to time as well.
I'm a lot of things...as you can clearly read in this thread...but fair weather or bandwagon fan I am not. I do have to say that the story about me being left on the Ohio Turnpike made us all laugh out loud though. Unless that guy was a student with me in '97, I never asked him if he wanted his face painted or anything else. That would be the last time I painted faces...and that was only at The Big House. Although it sounds like a great tale, unfortunately I have to debunk that one.
If folks want to think I'm an ass, douchebag, fat arse, idiot in a costume, whatever, well I'm fine with that. I'm not going to change any opinions here.
The future in Ann Arbor is bright, and I know Rich Rod will be the one leading the way.
