There's a place just across the bridge called the "Little Big House". Everyone says it's a great time. I'm on my way to the U.P. this weekend too. maybe I'll run into you.
How can you not give credit for holding the MSU offense when they were inside the 10? I will admit that watching MSU's 10+ minute driving was one of the most painful things that I've ever had to watch. I'm sure that our D didn't really enjoy it either.

I totally agree with you on the 3rd down issue. It's really perplexing to me. Why are we holding so well on first and second downs but just completely blow the third down play. During the MSU game, the D did an excellent job (even pushing them back on 1st and 2nd downs), and then they'd give up 20 yards on the third down play. Is there any logical explanation for our 3rd down issues? Hopefully they have it all hashed out for the Iowa road trip.
It's easy in hindsight to proclaim that we should have gone for the 2 point conversion. If he had gone for the 2 point conversion and failed, we'd all be screaming about that decision. Luck was just not on our side last Saturday. The one thing that is very satisfying about this season so far is the fact that I was extremely confident that Tate and the boys would make it a game at the end. That is a great feeling after the hopeless slump that I felt for most of the season last year. This season has been great fun, even with a loss tossed in.
I think that we can all safely say that we have no flippin clue what will happen next Saturday. All we can do is pray that the football Gods are on our side. Hopefully we make less mistakes and catch more breaks than the other side. GO Blue and Football God bless
I am totally confident that we will be behind until the 4th quarter and we will come back (this will require the usual self sacrifice of the Forcier body). If we are down less than 2 TD's at the end of the 3rd quarter....it's in the bag. Brandon Graham is due for a couple of big plays. We have to have a better game defensively...I'm sure GERG will have everything hashed out this week (wink....wink...)!
What's with the Lloyd bashing? I'll admit that his game was less than imaginative. We all knew what was going to happen next, but we never had a season where we were all hanging our heads at the end with Lloyd. Don't get me wrong, I love the exciting play that Rich Rod has brought to the big house, I just think that Lloyd deserves a tad more credit.
sparty stadium is a far cry from Michigan Stadium when it comes to home crowd noise. I couldn't tell if the difference was due to the 30k less bodies, bacuase I was camped out in the nose bleed section where the stuff all of their away fans, or if they are just plain lame. At any rate....there's no place like home. GO BLUE!
a. they plug all of their sponsors ALL OF THE TME. There are ads plastered everywhere
b. they should have hired a Michigan engineer to design the place. You have to climb SEVERAL steep ramps to get to the upper deck. They should add a line to the back of the ticket that says, "please remember your climbing gear as you may have to repel the ramp to leave this dump after the game"
c. the score boards are ancient. They could add a few more sponsors and raise some smack to get those babys swapped out
d. after being in the Big House, you sit in sparty stadium thinking "awww this is a cute little place"
What in our short history with Rich Rod would leave you doubting the man's loyalty to and support of his players. If Rich Rod said that the punt fake was Zoltan's call....it was Zoltan's call. Maybe Zoltan just thought that he could make it. He's a senior, his team was in trouble, he was going to come through some how. It worked out for him last season. No luck this time.
I am still pumped about the season. I am chalking the loss up to crap weather and a couple of plays that just didn't go our way. We have all been thrilled with tight wins so far. It's really funny to hear all of the bashers as they bail of the band wagon today. Jump fellas....you'll all be bustin ass to catch up so you can climb back on next week!
