Don't crush their dreams

I am totally onboard with their "moral victory" and "we hit harder" talk.

We need them all rough and ready to beat up on Ohio State.

They can help Michigan not once but twice

:)

Peppers everywhere

I'd be happy if Peppers played all the positions.

Update on my post

By no means was I advocating cortisone for Denard - just telling people my treatment - which had gotten so bad I couldn't sleep at night.  The cortisone eased the pain so I could sleep.

I am also not a 21 year old kid playing football LOL

In terms of elbow pad - I think Denard could wear something - if you watched both this hit and the Illinois hit - he actually dove forward on both plays leading with his elbow and hit the ground.  So the impact to the ground is actually causing the pain.

Yes it was exacerbated by guys landing on him but its the initial impact that did it.

If he instead landed on a small pad that might avoid hitting the nerve.

My 2 cents.

Hope he is good to go for Saturday and the rest of the year.  I will miss him when he's gone from the program.

I have cubital tunnel syndrome

Its irritation of the ulnar nerve.  When I bang my elbow the hand goes numb.  Gotten cortisone shots that helps.

I wear a brace to keep the pressure off the nerve, it just raises my forearm off the desk.

There are also full braces that cover the elbow as well but would be impossible to throw with them (restricted movement).

I am surprised he doesn't put on a forearm brace.  He could still throw with no restriction of movement and when he lands he has less of a chance of hitting his elbow on the ground.

Why are we so unprepared for MSU and they are so prepared?

Subject says it all - I am glad we got the win but man it was close.

Agree with what people are saying

You have to get Denard some easy passes even if that means gasp "bubble screens"

Make him feel comfortable with passing - that will open up the run

For gods sake watch out for the corner blitz on the I formation!

This is just plain wacky for our conference

Sorry the Rose Bowl is not the end game anymore - it's winning national championships.  This is not the 80s anymore.  We need the advantage of bringing teams up here to the Midwest just like the SEC, Big 12 and Pac 12 have had for decades.

Jerald's going to get off easy compared to this......

Was managing a team building a system for an electric utility

They had a 100K gate that automatically closed off the parking lot at night to protect their utility vehicles - one of my systems testers went home at midnight.  Forgot about the gate and plowed through it going 50 mph.

Needless to say 100K gate meets 30K rental car and nothing survived except my idiot tester (sheepishly unhurt)

Try to imagine my explanation of the situation to the client and then my boss for the project write-off :)

Was student there at the time

Lived in U Towers.  We all rushed out onto South U and South Liberty area.  For the first hour, it started out as super cool - mostly all students, everybody cheering and singing the Victors.  Then some crazy dude started climbing out onto the traffic light - which prompted more cheers.

After the first hour - some friends from East Lansing showed up and the crowd started to get more non-students (townies).

Once the bricks started going through the windows of stores on South U, my buddies and I retreated back up to U Towers where we watched from the 17th floor.

Car was overturned.  Chef Jan of the Chinese restaurant got beaten up trying to protect his restaurant.  General embarrasing mayhem.  No couches were burned - thank god for that.

Finally the police came and tear gassed the street.

Next time when UofM hit the Final four, the police took precautions and there cops on the roof and cops in riot gear in the street.  Unfortunately we lost that game, can't remember to whom.

Play defense

I am tired of uneven defense/offense play going back to the Lloyd years.  Do both well

Not surprise on looks to QBs

He was on espn over the summer during sportscenter and was shown coaching the Notre Dame quarterbacks.

The whole time I think he called his QBs knuckleheads like 10 times i.e. knucklehead what are you doing, knucklehead get your feet right, knucklehead throw the ball

It was cracking me up but I did think if i was a recruit seeing this, I wouldn't like what I was hearing.

Reminded me of the Charlie Weis sportscenter QB drop that was on before we smoked them at ND stadium in 2006.

Yes, its tax deductible on federal and state tax returns 80% for federal State of Michigan its up $200 for a qualifying institution (UofM)
You handled yourself well I listened to the podcast on WJR. It was a total setup. Albom was being a pompous prick as he usually is (which is why he's on the air) and you were good to not take the bait. He clearly had 2 agendas as I listened to him when he was talking to you: 1. Newspapers are better than silly old blogs 2. People who write for newspapers can do no wrong I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Hey at least you get press for your blog.
Gameday Experience Section 19 - flow was no different, the corner sections are smaller and it was easy to get into. Towers look good no complaints from me. The noise was definitely louder but not deafening (i.e. Autzen Stadium). My test was during the reading of the letters M-I-C-H-I-G-A-N. You could never hear the section to the left of you because of the previous stadium acoustics, you could hear it now because of reverb off of the new facilities. I am hoping they stick speakers on the new facilities as well to get the noise up even further. Agreed on the band, they need to add some mics for the band to the stadium speakers because I can't hear anything but the opposing team's band (they are directly across from my section I give you that). Guys keep the noise up - F$!%* the old people, make it loud! make it intimidating! Go Blue
