Just finished brewing up a double IPA, enjoyed a Crooked Tree while I did it. Now I'm having a Belgian Golden Strong I brewed while I watch the Tigers.

Oddside has a lot of great beers. I've been impressed with everything I've had from them. Especially Bean Flicker. Great summer beer.

Kuhnhenn DRIPA. My new favorite. Working through the growler I got Friday.

Split a six of Founders Centennial IPA during the Dayton game. If you like the Two Hearted, you'd like this. I prefer Two Hearted, as do most people. Had a chance to get ahold of some Pliny the Elder tonight, and I'm still kicking myself for not going.

I'm in my 6-7th year of teaching, fifth as a salaried teacher. And whenever I meet any college students who say that they are trying to become a teacher, I tell them to run like hell. It's just not worth it anymore.

I teach fifth grade science, but we're responsible for reading and language arts for our home room kids. Our school has had a lot of success with an RTI program. It's a reading intervention program in which we test the kids at the beginning of the year, the lower readers for comp and fluency get pulled for 30 minutes a day to work with a specialist in small groups, while I keep my high readers and do enrichment stuff like novels. This is our third year and it's working well. But one thing I've noticed with the kids is that some of them will never be good fluent readers, but they still comprehend everything just fine. Reading is one of those things that every few years there's a new magic approach that is supposed to fix low readers and eventually it falls by the wayside. The RTI program has been the most helpful that I've seen so far.
Good luck with that Masters. Got mine last year and it feels DAMN good.

Oh he's got jokes!
Care to feign kicking my dog while you're at it?

Booze and Brand New. I've had my share of those nights. Neither is ever a wrong choice.
I love those nights I get the place to myself. Drag out the old vinyl and not have anybody griping.

A little MACtion on a lazy Friday night, and a Scottish Wee Heavy I brewed a few months back.

This season has led to a bit of a funk falling upon the sites commenters. I'm looking forward to the upswing.
|33 weeks 3 days ago||What?||
I said that niether do any good. I'm not sure how that means that I thought that one or the other was worth doing.
Look, you can do whatever you want. I'm just saying that the way people are handling things on this site is becoming very off-putting.
|33 weeks 3 days ago||Look back||
Look back and notice that I wasn't pointing out the predictions. I was pointing out that the overall tone and mood of the forums as a whole is that of a bunch of quitters. I'm not telling you what to predict. You can tell everyone Michigan is going to lose by triple digits.
Do I I think that there is a difference in predicting a loss on a forum or booing in the stadium? At the heart of it, maybe not. Niether of them really do anybody any good but the person writing or booing.
|33 weeks 3 days ago||Thank you!||
I've been reading the blog for a handful of years now, and never ever have I seen such an attitude of defeatism and a fan base so loaded with quitters. These message boards have usually been a source of conversation and entertainment. But lately it's all very much like the 8 year old who picks up his ball and leaves the game because if he can't win, he won't play.
I get it, they haven't looked good for a good chunk of the season. But that doesn't make them any less Michigan players, and it shouldn't make you any less of a fan. Show some backbone and some damn support for the team you claim to love so much.
GO BLUE! BEAT OHIO!
|1 year 11 weeks ago||Sure did||
Got there when my shop opened today and snagged the free Walking Dead and Superman books. And since there was amazing deals I snagged a hardcover of Batman - the Widening Gyre for about half price.

This is what I was seeing as well. In the Purdue game, he'd get to the line and if it wasn't a gaping hole, he'd stutter, and get caught. Rawls doesn't hesitate. He runs through guys.
|1 year 45 weeks ago||Come on,||
What the hell you guys? I saw that game too. Yes, it was BRUTAL, but it isn't the end of the damn season. Take a shower, put on a clean shirt and smile. We've got Air Force in five days. Bounce back and get a little momentum. Buck up campers!

11 year olds, I totally get the piles of M emblazoned gear. However, so far it has gone well. Several mugs, pint glasses, message board, a ton of Christmas ornaments, shirts, pictures, and the coup de gras..... A LOCKER. No valve stem caps or ski jumping wolverines, however my career is still young.

Stunk! Why on earth the maize rage seats were allowed to be filled with mutes I'll never understand. There was just no energy in the place tonight.
