Hot air popped corn is at least 2.7 times more delicious than microwave popcorn. I can control the amount of butter/salt and portion sizes for a few people or for many people.
I wonder how many holding calls Georgia, FSU, Alabama, PSU, OSU,and other good D-lines drew this year? I don't have access to data like that.
Refs in general aren't going to call holding when an offensive line is clearly inferior and blocking for their QBs life? They don't do that on any other part of the field. Inferior DBs who grab still get called for PI because it prevents a game-changing play by the WR. Why is a game-changing sack or run stuff disallowed? Both blocking ravenous D-linemen and covering slithery WR are very hard but one position is allowed to cheat while the other isn't.
This Stupidity is why there should only be a CFP Ranking AFTER ALL THE GAMES ARE DONE.
There are still AP and Coaches Polls to use to hype up games but by making it a 4-week drama you get the "leapfrogging" and dropping and whatnot.
If they just revealed the CFP teams at the end, no one would know the changes in their thinking (if they do any) from week to week as teams go through their final games.
I get it that they just want to make $$ by having the CFP ranking on everyone's lips between Tuesdays and give pundits something to debate but they'll still have plenty to debate.
I'd also argue that initial rankings of teams (AP and Coach) should not come out until every team has played one conference game. A team that is Preseason #1 has a very hard time dropping very far and one that starts unranked has a tough time rising very far. The whole beauty contest approach to rankings when there are many different computer models which are opponent-adjusted and not biased by "the eye test" is stupid.
Predicting a 3-2 victory is bold and this might be one of the greatest sentences ever:
"It was over the moment he saw Ryan Day jumping around with the rhythm of a seal on ketamine while awkwardly bopping his head and blowing his whistle like a 3-year-old who just threw back a shot of Fun Dip."
If Michigan would give me a sideline pass, I can't help with the quarterbacking at all, but I'd be willing to go down there and bang on JJ's shoulder pads to get him hyped up like Harbaugh usually does.
Warde needs to chime in from the side about this - he did before to show support to the work Harbaugh is doing...this seems way more important than that.
