I've never wanted to know but thanks to serious inomcpetence by people making millions, I get to now.

Where am I at? Busy applauding the fans who are the ones who pay the astronomically high prices arbitraily set by DB to be fans of our great academic and athletic insitution.
DB has almost nothing to do with the value of our team. We would be top 5-10 regardless.

I have a very "meh" feeling about all of this. If Borges is truly the OC genius he says he is, then next year our Offense will be lights out and this kid will come back into the fold to be part of an exciting team on the upswing. If not, we will have much bigger problems than George Campbell decommitting.
There is too much that can happen between now and his actual signing day for me to be worried about his commitment right now. Ask me again in December of 2014 and I'll let you know.

Let the kid play....sit DG and give him a chance to heal up. I hope DG is healthy and can play but after everything he did for the team this year, I would understand holding him out.

Thinners for the time being. Hoping to get off after another year but it is tough to go off and trust my body right now. We will see.

@Geaux_Blue I'll try to keep this short but here are my experience's with bloodclots.
The first blood clot I had felt like I pulled my calf muscle. I went for a run one day, felt gassed and was cramping up the entire way so I cut it short and walked the rest of my usual loop. The next morning I had serious calf muscle pain that extended all the way down to my Achilles’ area. Because there was not much swelling I had no idea it was a blood clot and spent the better part of 6 months trying to "rehab" thinking this is what happens when you get older and aren't being careful. It took 2 years for me to be able to run without pain.
Flash forward another year and I'm going in for a surgery on my other leg. The Dr. orders a Doppler of both my legs and asks me about my blood clot to which I respond: what blood clot? He explained to me that I had evidence of a DVT and that the vein had re-canalized so I was ok. Lucky, as he put it.
Second blood clot happened 3 months later after the surgery and it felt very different. It happened behind my knee. There was some swelling, I couldn’t bend my knee all the way, and by the time I noticed it and headed to the Dr.’s office a chunk broke off and lodged in my chest. I’ll never forget the feeling – searing heat traveling up my leg and then the equivalent of a straight punch to the chest. 3 days in the ICU and $16,000 in hospital bills later and I’m doing fine.
So, two very different experiences and from what I was told most times people can’t feel blood clots. If you ever suspect you have one, go get checked out. A quick trip to the ER is cheaper than a prolonged stay in the ICU and the prognosis is better too!

THIS * 1,000 @Dominick's Lunch. The obsession with MSU around here is getting way out of hand. Congratulate them and move on. Part of being the "big brother" is showing class and sportsmanship in defeat and in understanding this is a blip in the radar and all will be back to normal shortly.

I'm not so sure we are all actually adults around here....and by that I mean I'm sure there are a bunch of teenagers lurking around.
I am surprised, though, at some of the behavior exhibited guys I know to be adults.

|2 weeks 2 days ago||What? So we intentionally||
What? So we intentionally went away from what worked........and focused on things that did not work.....so that NEXT year we would be better at the plays that didn't work this year?
In what world does that make sense? Maybe in the pros where losing is offset by better draft positions but that is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Especially as losing really hurts in recruiting....something we desperately need to continue doing well with if we ever hope to be ok at football again.

"They are doing this because they believe it is the move to get them to where we all want to go."
The problem is with another down year (7-5/8-4) there will be no evidence that keeping Hoke, Broges, et al, is the "move to get them to where we all want to go."
Youth won't be accepted as an excuse and Devin will be a 2.5 year starter. It's next year or bust for Hoke. Or at least it should be based on evidence if we have another bad year.

Yeah the problem is we got a lot of -2's instead of 0's in past games.

Today of all days the D had to show up and couldn't. Not sure what happened to the unit that dominated in 2011 but I get the feeling that our weak DL is really the big problem here. No pressure up front means you get exposed everywhere.

Offense played great, 1 play short of an epic upset. No complaints today.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||But how do you fire your||
But how do you fire your current coach without knowing who is interested? He either got played by Harbaugh, which I doubt, or he knew he wanted Hoke and that was it.
I get the feeling, more and more, that DB is the college version of Jerry Jones, including the meddling and micromanagement, and that he will cost us top talent in coaching because who wants to work for that guy?

@reader71 - this seems completely disingenuos and cherry picking timeframes. Over the arc of their entire careers, what do their records look like?
|3 weeks 1 day ago||"We want to watch Michigan||
"We want to watch Michigan win, but not lose."
Speak for yourself as I find that to be total bullshit. I can watch them lose so long as it is the right way - meaning the kids are 100% preprared, the strategy employed by the coaches is the optimal strategy - but for other reasons they lose. We are nowhere near that at present moment and seem to be getting worse by the week. I don't have to be happy about my multi-million dollar coach making these kids look like they don't know what they are doing. Especially when the kids are killing themselves trying to right the ship.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||"Now, if we're in year 5 and||
"Now, if we're in year 5 and prices keep going up and the losses continue to pile on and no changes are made, that's a completely different story."
I think Brian's point is that we are going on about 10 years of this with prices hitting astronomical levels. Whether you want to argue that changes have been made along the way, we still have 1 win against OSU in the past 9 years and have lost 5 of 6 against MSU so it doesn't look like we are making the right kind of change.

I wasn't judging, simply stating the reality of what we are all doing here - which is getting upset over the dumbest shit.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||What I understand is that you||
What I understand is that you are grasping at straws and the bar you set for praise is exceedingly low.
There has been very little development week to week and seemingly outright regression in almost all phases of the game. Overall, the coaches who are being paid millions to do their job are failing miserably with the exception of the D.
I'll happily praise Mattison but that is it.

Happy to ... which ditty would you like for the D? Gibby was especially impressive and I'm sorry to see him go next year.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Well, there are an awful lot||
Well, there are an awful lot of people complaining about the shitty recruiting RRod saddles Hoke with...so, not sure where that leaves us.
Assuming you are correct, then yes, we are ND.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Do you have any idea what||
Do you have any idea what Mallett was like when he was here? He was one foot out the door BEFORE the coaching change. His own WRs couldn't stand him and Carr threw transfer papers at him more than once.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||I don't necessarily disagree||
I don't necessarily disagree but I recall when RRod was here and he would mention youth, inexperience, etc. people would get in a huff that he was blasting Carr. He certainly devolved into directly blasting Carr so they had a point but that is why I think of that now.
OT: been doing any night putting lately?
|3 weeks 4 days ago||"His defense and special||
"His defense and special teams were the worst UM has ever had"....kind of like our offense right now. Setting records in futility.
Kind of hard to know where he would have taken us seeing that he was shown the door before any of his recruits could have 2 years starting experience in his system.
And then, once we boot him, we decide to give the next guy the kind of budget for assistants RRod could only dream of.
