I work in benefits, sorry, so it's always on my mind. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
|15 hours 42 min ago||Mods must be busy||
since this hasn't been caved yet. I'm sure it won't take long...
|15 hours 54 min ago||lox and bagels||
I'll definitely be fast-breaking and most likely not watching the game this weekend. Hope your fast goes well too, and any other members of the tribe as well!
|16 hours 47 min ago||Well done||
Once we hire a new coach, someone needs to put this in the mail to him.
|17 hours 13 min ago||Here you go||
|21 hours 52 min ago||Well if that's the case||
then yeah, I agree with you, that it was stupid as hell by the university. We couldn't see the police presence on the tv, just the Minnesota fans heading down to field-side, and my friend watching the game with me was speculating whether or not Minny was going to try and rush the field.
|22 hours 20 min ago||Unlike Hoke||
I am willing to admit when I make a poor judgment call and take reckless actions.
|1 day 15 hours ago||This is how I spent yesterday||
The 2 Mike's Hard Lemonades were after I had run out of the good beer, swiped those from my wife's booze inventory. Had gotten a choose your own six pack from the store before the game, thinking that'd be enough, and thinking that I'd get to enjoy some new beers. Yeah, bad mistake thinking that 6 would be enough. 8 was barely enough, but I'm a lightweight now that I'm a decade out of college.
|1 day 15 hours ago||The rushing the field thing||
Maybe it was not apparent from your vantage point in the stadium, but they showed it clearly on the TV: as the clock was winding down, the Michigan fans were heading up the stairs & out of the stadium, while the Minnesota fans were heading down towards the field. It looked like they were considering rushing our field to celebrate that they took the jug back. I'm pretty sure that was what the police presence was for, was to deter Minnesota fans from jumping down onto our field.

Start Shane or Devin?
It really doesn't matter
Our O-line can't block.
Our offense is bad
Special teams are even worse
At least D is good.
So much fan anger

Such a giant douche.

strictly based on title alone. Then I read the whole post, including the tags at the bottom, and realized you were thankfully kidding. For a brief moment there I thought one of the blog's best commenters had lost their mind.
|1 week 1 day ago||What I learned yesterday||
I learned that Jo Koy is significantly funnier in person than on TV. Saw him live. & laughed my butt off, just the thing I needed after yesterday's game.
|1 week 3 days ago||Actually, no||
Many (if not all) temples do Sunday School, not Saturday School, because of the restrictions on working on the Sabbath. No one can teach the kids, because that'd be work, and you can't work on the Sabbath. My temple growing up did Sunday School, plus Hebrew School on Thursday nights.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||I'm so glad||
I'm working some overtime at the office today, it keeps me from having to watch this shitty game. I'm just so tired of us not being good.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Beating kids is not OK||
It's one thing to spank your child, it's another to use a weapon to do so. Had another person done this to AP's kid, that person would've been arrested for assault. If this is what your kid looks like after you "discipline" him, then you're doing it wrong.
That's AP's kid's leg. Note the multiple red marks all over the legs. This is not spanking, this is whipping. AP should join Ray Rice on the indefinitely suspended list.
And to people who say "well, in my parent's/grandparent's day, this was ok" I say you know what else was ok back then? Jim Crow laws. Times change, society evolves.
This is child abuse, pure and simple. If anyone taking care of my son ever left marks on him like that, they better hope the cops get to them first before I do.

to all those who lost family or friends on that dark day.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||I'll ask the mods||
I sent a tweet to the mods for them to weigh in. If this is too OT, they can bring it down & I'm fine with that, chalk it up to a lesson learned. I thought it was fine because:
a) we've been discussing Ray Rice and Roger Goodell in multiple threads, and all Rice did was punch his girlfriend, not kill her
b) because it beats another coaching changes/start Shane over DG/fire everyone thread that have been prevalent here lately.
c) its still about sports
Again, if the mods feel differently, they can delete the post and I'll be fine with it.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||I just updated||
the original post to let you and everyone else know that at the bottom of the linked BBC article, there's a handy chart about what lesser charges he could still be convicted of. I hadn't scrolled down far enough myself when I posted the original topic post.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Austin||
I've always wanted to get down to Austin, I've heard it's an awesome college town. Of course, by the time this game rolls around (if it's in the 2020s) I'll be in my 40s, but still, going to Austin is on my bucket list. Hope they can pull this off, and hopefully both teams will be good again by then.

OT: Giants vs. Lions game thread is being ignored in favor of MNF: NYG vs MEGATRON and can be deleted.
|3 weeks 18 hours ago||NFL punishment is a joke||
Lackey: Commissioner Goodell! Wes Welker was caught popping Molly!
Goodell: Suspend him for 2 games.
Lackey: Sir, Molly is a drug, not a woman.
Goodell: Better make it a four game suspension then.
Seriously, Rice should be done for the year, if not career. NFL enforcement is as bad or worse than the NCAA's.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Congrats!||
Congrats and have fun on the ride! Parenthood is crazy in the early months. As was earlier mentioned, watch out for sleep deprived fights, those can be nasty. Do as much as you can to help your wife as often as possible, be it with feedings, changing the diapers, etc, because she'll come to resent you quickly if you don't help at all.
My son who is almost 3 now isn't as in to Michigan as I would like him to be, but with the season going now, we'll see if I can get him to pay more attention to football. He's too busy playing with his cars. He did learn to say "Go Blue" "Michigan" and "Wolverines" as some of his first words though. I'll have to stock up at M-Den for some more shirts for him the next time I'm in Ann Arbor, I'm a Chicagoland native like you and it's hard to find stuff for him here to wear. He's got 1 UM shirt in his size, compared to many many comic book hero shirts.

lunch time can not get here fast enough. That looks super delicious. I'm so glad that this is a new feature here, I can't wait to see and try the other recipes too!
|4 weeks 3 days ago||That vine||
I just showed that thunderback vine to a bunch of my coworkers. Damn that was awesome. We should use him as a RB in goal line situations.
|5 weeks 2 days ago||Thanks for that||
I was on the app & not sure how to embed a photo in the mobile app, so thanks for getting that in the thread!
|19 weeks 4 days ago||I didnt even notice||
that until you pointed it out. I took that pic because my son was entranced by Star Wars more than anything else, usually he ignores what we have on the wall. I didn't even realize the funny positioning of the droids until today. Nice catch!
|19 weeks 4 days ago||I've got a projector||
I'm on my 2nd projector now for TV watching, it's a Sony 720p HD projector with an HDMI input, so I can watch hi-def sports or movies (we bought an HDMI splitter jack so we have 3 HDMI inputs instead of 1), and we watch it on a blank white wall. The projector was about $900 when we bought it, but that was also about 5 years ago. I think comparable ones sell for around $600-700 now. It's absolutely amazing if it is dark out. If it is daytime though, the picture can be a bit washed out, or hard to see if the imagery on the screen is dark. If you are going to go the projector route, I strongly encourage you to get the darkest possible shades for your windows that you can, to block out as much outside light as possible. Here is what the image looks like in the daytime, and we just have vertical blinds on the windows, so not dark curtains. The porch window is directly to the right of the screen, which is why the image is more washed out on that side.
|22 weeks 3 days ago||Agreed||
The NCAA and Mark Emmert are just all kinds of incompetent and stupid, even when an organization like Yahoo does all of the research for them like on the Miami scandal, and then they still drop the ball.
The more I think of the injustice of this year long ban, the more pissed I get.
