I had a dream.. brady hoke is our next coach and everything was fine. then I woke and thanked god it was just a dream. Seriously that was my dream last night. I need to take a few steps from the computer.
I wonder how beavis feels that he left the chance to play for michigan but instead to play at a conf usa school and in return for michigan picks up some athlete named denard who turns into one hell of a player. We really need to thank him.
somebody please throw out the name tim beckman. great coaches come from the mac and hes one of the best i've seen in a while. I don't ever remember a MAC school getting a 4* recruit but he did it in his second year (james green wr) he took a program that was pretty much was dry after toledo tom left and has already had great success with all underclass men. this guy was one game away from a mac championship and one play away from a bowl victory with only 2 years of recruiting under his belt and majority of underclassmen starting. I know we all want the big name but this guy might be the answer. Don't get all "your an idiot and you don't know what your talking about". just take a look at what hes done. I'm not saying hes canidate number one but he will be at a big school soon enough and I'm willing to bet he will have success too.
barwis theme seemed to be make them bigger then anyone else. correct? I might be wrong so correct me if you may but RR staff seemed to be about bringing in the 4.5 little guys out of pahokee. what I'm say is I think barwis and RR weren't a good match. RR wanted fast little ninjas on offense in his secondary but barwis seemed more on the strengthening of theses players. The only player on this team in the last 3 years who has had break away speed in the last 3 years has been denard and he does track in the off season. irionic? so pretty much what we have is a bunch of undersized guys who are really strong but not fast enough. just my perception. I'm not here saying barwis is bad at what he does because i know thats not true but he just doesn't seem like he would be the best matchup with RR. I would take him more for a pro style guy.
those LBJ T-shirts are going to be the best thing any cleveland sports fan will ever own. How do i know this you may ask? because I am one (except for the NFL, Philly there)
1) JH- hottest coach and hell recruits will probably dig him
2) Gruden- don't know if he would be the best coach but if your a 16-18 year old kid, who didn't watch MNF and be like this dude is awesome. has to count for something
3) patterson- Texas pipeline>Florida IMO
4) Miles- luckiest SOB ever... i guess we could use some of that
5) Bring back Bo from the grave- we have the technology
can we pick some more boys up from pahokee while were down there please. they won't have to chase rabbits around ann arbor but they can if they want to.
I wasn't saying boo'ing has ruined our program. I was kind of going at the fact our fans do have this little tendency of overreacting (CC) and people notice that and it might be hurting us more than helping, I just feel we need to take a chill pill and lay off the JH will bring us to the promise land and RR is equal to cooper because nobody on the outside looking in likes hearing this. follow? yes no??
do i feel we have lost recruits because of the delay. No mainly do to the fact there is still a month between "the decision, michigan style" and signing day. we will know where we stand soon. Do I feel allot of the negativity of the fans that are bashing RR and DB might effect recruits more.. umm YEAH!.
I was sitting near the iowa parents and family during the game this year and I couldn't get a name but I heard them talking that their son took an unoffical during the whisky game in 08 and said it was one of the most exciting games they had ever been at but the fact that michigan was down 19 at half and the crowd boo'd them off the field was the biggest turn off and was a big reason their son wasn't as impressed with michigan for the flat out reason the fans were ready to bail with 30 minutes to go. I guess fans are huge part of a kids experience in visits and our fan base is great but some of the reactions are over the top. Point being, this isn't turmoil nor the end of football in AA, We are just making way to big of deal out of this and whatever DB says I will be 100% behind. I'm a Michigan fan not a RR or JH. I just want our boys competing at the top again. thats my wish and about every other MGOBLOGGER. Happy new year everyone
I remember a few weeks ago that the whole gang from Dr. Phillips were suppose to come up for a visit but had a playoff game. Any rescheduling going on there or is it going to be a lost cause for the rest of them. I'm not going to get greedy becasue Dee might be the lamichael james we need ( fingers crossed) . But if i honesty would ask for some snake oil, I would like to see RR work with Dee and get HAHA in maize in blue. Saban not getting a 5 star really wouldn't be the end of the world for bama and I really don't want to see ha'sean on the other side of the ball in 2012. I might be out of the loop but is ha'sean dead set on bama still or is there still a chance for the 2 for 1 deal that was being thrown around earlier this year?
+ winning bowl game in florida where are pipeline is only makes it stronger which makes me want to see what that will do for this and next years recruiting class.
- I've only been alive for 19 years but cheering hard for the blue for 16 and these last 3 have absolutely tore my heart out and I live in Ohio on top of it so immediate success would be much nice.
- hell we're michigan, what happened to 5 stars just falling into our laps and 8/9 win seasons being down years?
- was watching the 1986 nebraska game and I must say JH looks good in Maize and Blue and I wouldn't mind seeing pride stickers again but thats just me. (wish i was alive for that game)
So overall I'm still in between because I have a sick obsession with recruiting and a win in Florida might be fantastic from a recruiting stand point for RR but how much longer must I deal with this pain (of living in Ohio) (near .500 seasons)
any one/team that beats dallas is a friendly foe in my books (for a week), Now Goudis needs to go to the jay feely school of kicking and we should be set for the next four years.
