Whats going on with that?  Also....why is Stauskas out?    I really hope that Belien urges this kid to grow up this season.  He's an uber-talented shooter but I'm going to need him to toughen up physically and mentally.  I swear this team is all Burke and McGary..... 

He doesn't have any help right now.  If staukas is out for this game that will hurt badly.  Hardaway needs to step up and he is playing like crap.  We are looking like a one trick pony. 

Our beloved basketball team is good.  They're not a dominant force nor do they display the type of drive and hunger that makes me think they are championship caliber.  I'm going to reserve judgement until after the B1G tourney is over.  I suggest that everyone get off of the rollercoaster and realize that these KIDS simply do not have the mental toughness to do what we expect them to.  THey aren't professionals.  This Michigan team succumbs to hostile crowds and momentum swings and poor personnel decisions.  THey are very mortal and will be in a dogfight in the tourney every game...no matter what seed they end up with.  Belein is a good coach but he has definitely dropped the ball in several contests this year. This team needs to improve simple and plain.  They are not good enough or disciplined right now to deserve a B1G championship or a #1 seed.  Maybe they can get there in a few short weeks.  They definitely arent there now.  I won't be surprised to see them win or lose the rest of the way.  They are a true wildcard squad.  Love em to death but I have to say that my confidence in their ability to win a championship is shattered.  The truth is....this team misses WINNERS like NOVAK and DOUGLASS.  Those guys werent 5*s but theyre were winners......leaders and they gave a shit every game.  It's time some leaders step up on this squad.  Its time they stop looking at their draft status and focus.  Belein has a big challenge ahead of him.  Lets try to stay positive despite this epic letdown.  This team can still beat anyone.

...like everyone else. This team is very talented overall but I sense a physical weakness that teams are going to key on. We aren't a physically strong team and I think this will haunt us in the end. We should not lose to Wisconsin. They are not elite or even ranked. Bad loss. This makes EL trip a must win. Can't go 1-3 in your tough stretch of the season. This loss puts Michigan's back against the wall for the #1 seed....let's see how they react.

Very dissapointed with our overall toughness.  McGary is a man.  The rest of the bigs need to man up IMO.

We have to play a little nastier and with a little more attitude on the road. Overall I think the boys competed well. Michigan was always going to lose games in the B1G. Indiana travels to Ann Arbor in a month. We will see what happens then. Beat Ohio.

There are certain times when you just have to trust your gut and read a kids body language and mannerisms. Green looks like a Michigan back to me. He carries himself like a Michigan man and just gives me the feel of a B1G back. He could shock us all and commit elsewhere but it would be against a metric ton of sense and conventional thinking. Logic and the past two months says he will be a Wolverine. That being said logic doesn't always prevail in college football recruiting.

After a tough loss on Sunday....We march into Gopher Land and completely out-class them on their home floor in a must-win for them.  Impressive to say the least.  I really expect us to run the table until the Indiana game. That game at Assembly Hall will be absolutely monstrous...but then again every game is huge in this conference.  Great coaching job by Belien tonight and terrific performances by Spike Caris and McGary off of the bench.  That type of bench production in a hostile road environment speaks volumes as to the ceiling of this club.  Michigan could legitimately win another Big Ten title and ....gasp....a National Title.  Haven't been able to say that since the early 90's and it feels great!

Terrible start to the game and hats off to OHIO for taking it to us. They earned the win and deserve the spoils. Michigan made me very proud today by fighting back and coming within an inch from winning the damn game. That tells me that this team is never out of a game. There are no moral victories...but this game was a really tough out for us. This is B1G ball where it is extremely hard to win on the road against the upper half of this conference. Michigan will be in similar position @Indiana....@ Msu......@Minny.....@wisky....@ Illinois. I'd they can win the majority of those road games and hold serve at home with maybe only one loss....your looking at at approximately a 13-4 B1G record and a no.1 seed.....probably a B!G title pending on the Indiana results. Let's not fret. We lost to a damn good team that simply plays great ball in their building. This was a lesson to the freshman. Upperclassmen struggled from the floor as did Robinson....Staukus was invincible. Mcgary is a bright spot and if Hoford can get back healthy it will make a huge impact. If we beat Minny on Wed....this loss will not hurt us badly and we will string the rest of the games until the IU showdown. go blue!

Beat Ohio.

1. Finish the recruiting cycle with 2/3 playmakers that are immediate impact guys.
2. Find or Develop a legit #2 QB who is more than a game manager.
3. Accelerate the development of the skill position through spring/fall.
4. Post a behavioral clean sheet to avoid off field suspensions heading into next season.
5. Identify the most athletic playmaking 22 players on defense and adjust the depth chart accordingly in the spring. Especially in the secondary.
6. Borges must develop offensive fusion and consistency in schematics and facilitate or most dynamic athletes through the offense.
7. Beat ND.
8. Develop a form of marketability. Could be simply taping into the greatest history of our program or possibly a DG Heisman run.
9. Avoid the classic road loss...ie. Msu/Iowa in '11..Neb in 12.
10. Continue the auora of invincibility at home. Make the Big House an absolute jungle.
11. Do not worry or concern with what Ohio is doing. They will be highly ranked and extremely hyped.
12. Beat Ohio in Ann Arbor.
13. Do not feel sorry for an unjust and senseless rematch that looms.
14. Lace up and Beat Ohio again in Indy.

That is not acceptable and shouldn't be. Michigan played tough but the bottom line is we underachieved and missed several opportunities to do something special this season. Next year will be the real barometer. No more excuses. Michigan has to beat somebody. We have simply beaten weaker comp to this point under Hoke save the Sugar bowl. We need serious upgrades in pass rushing...running back...corner back and wide reciever. We have a good team overall but we are not at the level that should be expected at Michigan. There is a reason why we have to blitz to bring pressure. Ironically the blitzing exposed our secondary today. The good news is that Michigan can make a HUGE jump nxt year pride is swallowed and adjustments are made! The BIG is going to be a two man race in the future and we have to out our selves into position to match Ohio athlete for athlete. Recruiting athletes is paramount for Michigan's future. Elite athletes will put Michigan over the top. Cannot afford to miss on ALL the elite athletes.

Kid has great size. How does he project in comparison to Chesson and Darboh? We are really going to rely on slot types if these young big bodies don't show up to fall camp ready to show out.

I'm really concerned with our struggles to land top flight offensive skill talent. While recruiting rankings don't always hit the potential of a kid on the nose....its still pretty important to land sure shot studs at the playmaking positions if were going to make a run at national prominence. I like the offensive.talent the last fee years but I'm still waiting for the program changer. I think we need to really focus on treadwell and green and show them whatever love (legally) we can. We can't act like we can do without them imo.

When Bama really wants a kid....strings get pulled. That's all I'm saying. Julio Jones committed to Fsu the night before signing day and low and behold an overnight phone call lol. Kuandjo is another example. Michigan does things right. Miss Mary and Singletary don't cut corners. I believe Bama will. All I'm saying.

Isaac will do great out in Cali. We are still missing that do it all workhorse rb. Maybe smith will prove to be more than a bull. I don't get a realistic vibe from Green. Isaac broke a lot of our hearts....but I think he is a good kid and USC is a really good school. Living out there is awesome. No blizzards in LA my friends.

Michigan is as quality an offer there is. Hurst will look great in a winged helmet and I love the student athlete we would potentially get out of him. Him Poggi....Treadwell and Green would make this class complete. Mathis, Fuller would be awesome aswell. Cravens is already holding two fingers up singing "fight on". It will be interesting to see if we can really land Green...or will get left at the alter again. His speed is elite. Great compliment to big Wyatt and Smith! Is there another longshot mystery recruit out there? Surely with so much time left in the cycle there will be a recruit that gives a look that isn't considering us now. I would like to see us try and go after anzalone. Ship has likely sailed though.

Whatever bro. That's a weak counter and you know that you've made ill advised "evaluations" and if you continue to offend our recruits eventually its going to come to a head. I don't think you get the concept and are in this to sensationalize your opinion and evaluations.

I think Chris will do good things wherever he lands. He was simply behind players with a higher "ceiling". I don't think he has the upside of a strobel or a wormley but that's just me. I hope he finds a place to make an impact.

We just don't need Michigan blogs that are telling kids with Bama offers that he is going to get lost in the OL depth at Michigan.....because he just might go to Alabama. Plus some of these statements this guy makes are simply not true. Dawson is a beast and will play a ton of ball for Michigan.

Okay I would have never imagined Chris rock being heavily recruited by Michigan. Please don't compare Chris Rock a hard working guy to Dawson who is a National talent. Stop bashing kids. Chris Rock is not a good example. Justin Turner would be a better example and rich rod stunk at developing defensive players and identifying kids who really wanted to be at Michigan.

Our recruits won't read into your evaluations and "change" their opinions of Michigan and the fanbase. Not wise to bash kids before they sign. The staff would tell you that. You obviously don't care and are in this for different reasons. Just be excited that top talent wants to come to your school.

Unless you are on Brady Hoke's staff....your evaluations, especially when negative, do more harm than good. These kids are recruited for a reason and will ALL pan out if the staff does their job. Just like athletes have to be careful what they "tweet" and "post", fans need to do the same. We already experienced this craps with tulley-tillman and now Dawson. When is it going to stop? Everybody is tryin g to be a goddamned Mel Kiper....smh

He is a dynamic athlete and playmaker. This also gives him a chance to impress scouts at a likely NFL projection spot too. He should still be the backup qb. Bellomy has proven nothing yet.

It's too early to worry about how strong we close this class.....but with Poggi being courted by Bama....Massington....Cravens...and now Isaac heavily involved with Usc....Treadwell doesn't seem a lock to UofM and the rest are ?.......we are going to reach a point soon when the worry will kick in. I think its important that we not let off the pedal. If kids interest drift.....that's part of recruiting. However, we have a chance to pull in a national championship class IF we finish with the Poggis...Tteadwells and Isaacs of the recruiting world. Not concerned just yet....but this is sort of an into to the deja vu that was last year's recruiting cycle.

How many elite level talents are we looking at that are realistically considering Michigan? I feel that Isaac Treadwell...Poggi are all possibilities. Do we go after Hutchings...Kalambayi? Do we have a real shot with Vanderdoes...Massington? Can we really get excited about Fuller....Cravens or Mathis? I just hate to get left at the alter with these big time recruits....but that the risk you take in recruiting.

Between Fsu crim justice program and football potential....I could see him choosing the noles.....but I just have a feeling that this kid is a Michigan kid. There is a difference between the two. Florida state recruits a more cutthroat pure athlete. The program is more of a "get to the league" program than it is "caught up in the nostalgia and history" type program. I think EJ is more in tune with being a Michigan Man than he is joining the "athlete surplus" that is FSU. I love both schools but I really want to see EJ go blue. FsU does need linebackers badly and they will def propose serious playing time for Ej that Michigan might not be able to...at least within the first two years. We will know in 23 short hours. This would be a monster recruiting battle win for Hoke...because FSU has been arguably the hottest recruiting team the past 3 years and is a legitimate NC contender now and the near future.

Meta will receive a multiple game suspension....and he deserves to be suspended. I disagree with everyone taking shots at him after a bad display of self control. He did not see harden. You cannot prove his intent to hit harden in the head. Harden did not deserve to be hit but made no attempt to redirect himself....in fact he drifted into Meta mid-celebration. There is a strong defense for Meta in that he can legitimately claim that he did not mean to hit Harden let alone hurt him. Meta is not a dirty player. I'm sick of people being irrational and kicking the man while he's down. The same fans of the Bad Boys are clowning Meta World Peace.....that's ridiculous. Also, I don't fault Meta for his initial reaction in the Palace. Myself and family are all from Detroit area...born and raised...except for 7 years in sarasota Florida back and forth. Went to Salem high school in Canton for first two years. Family crap forced me to move to sarasota where I graduated. Earned a couple academic schollies but enlisted in the Marines prior to my senior year. Got out of corps in 06...played basketball for USF for a semester..(didn't make travel...basically practice player...no scholly)...transferred to FSU which was my co-dream school along with Michigan. Grew up worshipping both athletic programs....particluarly the Michigan football team in the Big House. My grandfather aunt and uncle have worked a combined 70 years directly for the University of Michigan. Uncle works for the athletic dept directly currently and gives me the honor of sharing his press box passes lol. Walked on to Fsu in 08 and played two years. Cracked two deep briefly but only saw game action as a special teamer. I got a chance to play for the greatest coach ever in coach Bowden and would have transferred to Michigan if it weren't for him. All my academic schollies outside of VJ bill were all Florida state school specific so that was also a major factor. I'm a Michigan man in my heart. Never attended the university unfortunately....but have the utmost respect. Thats a book and I'm def not that important. I'm on this board because Michigan and FSu sports are pretty much my life.

The next stop for Bosa was Columbus, Ohio, where he checked out UrbanMeyer's Buckeyes.

The tour concluded with a stop at Michigan. Bosa said it was tough coming off the heels of arguably his best visit yet but that one member of Brady Hoke's staff really madehim feel welcomed to Ann Arbor.

"It was hard to top Ohio State after coming from there," Bosa said. "But Coach (Greg) Mattison is awesome."

Entering the visits, Bosa had a top four of Alabama, Florida, Ohio State, and Wisconsin. At the conclusion of the visits, that list has been shaken up drastically.

"I think it's going to come down to Ohio State and Michigan," Bosa said.

Bosa now claims a current top four of Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, and Ohio State - in no order. He isn't quite prepared to take the next step and make his decision.

"No decision date," Bosa said. "Probably summer."

I think you put too much emphasis on the value of douglass smot and novak. Novak was a junkyard dog and I will always admire him...but we are def stepping up in the talent dept. Talent is what wins championships. We aren't bringing in punks that are Michigan kids. Mcgary G Rob and stakaus are all good kids and more talented than their predecessors. Michigan won't be top 5 if Belien fails to coach them up. We have top talent coming in and not to mention Spike....there are no excuses. It's time. Beilein has been here long enough and this is going to be by far his most talented team. By far. Coach them up...stop relying on the three ball to the death. I don't want to not be able to plug in top talent because they don't fit the detailed schematics of the Beilein system. Adapt and win. Its what we should expect. Top talent is approaching Ann arbor ....we will see what Beilein does with it. No excuses. We will win the big ten next year and make a run in the tourney. Then comes Irvin and Walton and the rest and the train will keep moving. Go blue.

Seminoles made a huge push. Being a football alum of Fsu I can say that Fsu is a very attractive place for recruits. I think levenberry should go to Michigan though, as I feel the environment will be better for him...not to mention Michigan is a better school academically. The longer this recruitment drags out...the more likely this kid ends up a seminole. We shall see. I still dislike the logic on passing up on Dorian. That was foolish. Spike is being brought in because he is a player. I hope that is the reason. I don't think that we can afford to bring non elite pgs....unless we are content with being good not great. It's not fair to judge the kid because he isn't here yet. im going to assume he can do what trey can do or else we are wasting our time.

Looks like we will need to scour the Ncaa for a point guard transfer. Sad that we can't get more than two years out of our good players. Burke is a great talent and I Wish him the best but this reminds me of Manny and Darius and both of them are D leaguers/ bench warmers.....both without degrees I believe. Elite Talent wins titles. You must have elite athletes great coaching to win this tournament. There are a lot of good teams in the Ncaa but very few elite. It will be interesting to see if we can get to that elite level status in the coming years. Ohio seems to be the only team in the last few years from our region with the horses to ride on the big stages. We have to be much less "system" dependant to make it to the final four. I think this next crwlass will be a step in that direction.

We have some talent coming in next year that will make us more competitve. We lacked the players this season. Hats off to a gutty group. Ohio is more tourney ready than we are. We have work to do but we have some great tools to work with next season. Go blue.

Marine corps came first...02-06. Then I went to USF for a semester and transferred to FSU to play football. Graduated in summer of 10.

However I cannot curse Webber and Bullock and act like they didn't play their asses off for us. They took money from a booster. Ed Martin....he is the goddamn villain. They made a mistake out of ignorance. Manny....Peedi...Blanchard....Dion......Morris were all elite talents. Michigan Basketball is a monster that knows no limitations. The only limitations we have as a program are those put on our selves through the recruitment of "system" players. Its basketball suicide.

I guess USF isn't a powerhouse in basketball...but they are quality. Florida state and Bobby Bowden is who I played for on the gridiron. I competed at high levels and have a solid knowledge base of what it takes to win in both basketball and football. I don't shit on your opinions yet you wish to outcast mine. Ann arbor is not as liberal as it once was I see.

Michigan is not Kentucky. We need to win the B1G tourney to be kings of our region. We are not a nationally elite team yet. Elite means top 5-7 realistic Nat champ tier.

Point guard of a big ten title team.....that's an easy question. Zeller is solid but burke is a stud.

We won the conference in basketball and beat Sparty. We failed in both of those missions in football and allowed Sparty to physically batter is in the process.

I walked on at FLorida State University and played corner and safety. Got as high as #2 on depth chart....then came 5 star recruits lol. Started on special teams at the end of my senior year...also bobby bowdens last year. Grew up in the Detroit area as well as sarasota Florida about half and half....fell in love with Michigan at birth...played for the noles due to my love for Fsu and Florida state academic scholarships. Family works with the UofM athletic department and UofM hospital. Grandfather worked for the University of Michigan for 50 years. I have had the pleasure to meet many of the staff/ players...particularly the Florida kids. Denard is the man..... Also have had the pleasure of season tickets in the press box where I have befriended Deerdorf, Mrs. Schembechler and other awesome Michigan football figures. Thought about transferring to Michigan to play my junior year but I couldn't leave Bobby. He is the greatest coach in college history and one hell of a man. Go noles. Go blue.
