Pretty sure Tressel just brought about a bad omen for "Ohio"

So I'm a resident of Columbus. Asks for forgivness of my sin* I awoke from a two hour nap to a flash thunder storm around 20:00 (8:00 PM). I get on the ol laptop to find that Tressel made this statement. I look at the time stamp of the article and it reads 19:45 (7:45 PM). I'm usually not superstitious, but I think hes just awoken "Ohio" hating god. Please oh please bring about a reality check for these delusional people living in this state that root and still support this poor example of a football program. Im going to remember this moment and what was said. I think "Ohio's" luck is going to run out on the field just like it has off of it. That is all.... And GO BLUE!

Karma...

A story I read when it came out in 2004 and that I never forgot. All I have to say is karma...

One of the quotes that stuck out to me,

But, says Clarett, "what would've become of Ohio State if I said everything? Half the team would've been suspended, and it would've been worse for everybody. I was like, why don't I just take it?"

Should have made him excrete

Should have made him excrete gold pants

I wish

I still lived in Jacksonville. I didn't like the city but would have loved to have gone to this game. They held the ACC title game there a few years ago, I believe, and the Florida-Georgia game(while Tebow was still playing). These games were easily the most excitement Jacksonville ever got. It was a fun atmosphere. Hopefully many other fans can make it for the ones who can't. Go Blue! Beat Miss St.!

I agree with

the overall message of this thread. Treating a young man, no matter how inflated his ego may be, like commodity without being at least upfront about it is morally wrong. I'm sure this carries a consequence of being a burden on the offenders conscience. Afterall karma's a b!tch right?

Now I have something to add that may be a bit silly. I can't resist though. I was in Panama City, FL (I know). For spring break one year. One of the nights at the beachside nightclub was particularly packed. On said night out of nowhere a chant of "S! E! C!" started up. Then, out of nowhere, it turned into, "F#CK OHIO STATE! F#CK OHIO STATE! Childish I know. I live in Columbus and constantly have a to hear about how "great" OS...Who? is. So I joined in the chant and loved every second of it. GO BLUE!

Sorry, had to share.

The best

thing I have seen all day! I get a smile on my face everytime I see Denard or read about him. He's just a likeable guy. Actually, hes a Michigan Man. Go Blue! Look forward to seeing him play next year and have more success.

might want to

change that to 5-star. espn has him as the number three! overall prospect in the country. Would love to get this kid. Def. passes the eyeball test and if he's more interested in our academics I'm pretty sure he's a qualifier. Go BLUE Mr. Drew!

Nice video

That was an impressive highlight film from my point of view. He's aggressive and knows how to hit and wrap. He looks like a good athlete as well for being a bigger guy. If I had no knowledge of his ranking I'd say he was more than worthy of an offer. I know his ranking and still feel the same by the way. Really, in life in general, there are so many factors that determine what opportunities people receive. Just because he's not the highest rated doesn't mean he's not worthy. I'm excited about this guy just like when we got in on Carvin Johnson (three star unknown who's a regular contributor as a true freshman). I hope we get his commitment because we need backers!

Wow

Our defensive line was crazy that year. Please let our defense get back to this point sooner rather than later.

I liked him

I thought Demens was a beast. A linebacker in coverage is Usually a mismatch. He made plays and was physical like a linebacker should be. He wasn't perfect. He did a solid job though. If our whole defense played like that, within their own position, we'd be closer to undefeated. I'm excited to watch him the rest of the year.

Bad replay call

The Illinois receivers knee was down! No fumble. Bad call.

That's how you handle the media

I genuinely loved this interview. The reporter kept trying to test Denard with those questions. He kept on asking, in general, the same one about how the game affected him and his confidence. Denard I noticed was smiling at first. Then the reporter started trying to dig and his face just went straight serious. I felt like the reporter was starting to be a little submissive after that just with tone of voice. Yeah, I agree Denard looks fine and I'm glad we have a leader like that. Hopefully he rubs off on our defense because they need to keep confident more than anyone right now.

So Denard

Being a former athlete, and anyone else who can relate, I've been dinged up and had injuries. I was really watching Denard close in the Indiana game and when he banged his knee again my heart sank. When you are that kind of high level athlete everyday matters. When you have a nagging injury that can affect how you train throughout the week you aren't going to be yourself. After watching him this past game I have to wonder if his bad reads were a result of him not being able to prepare like he is used to. Also, especially on his second pick, I noticed that at times it looked he should have ran instead of throwing. He just looked to me like he had his mind made up to pass no matter what. This of course is my opinion and an outside observation. Based on the experience of being an athlete it's definitely a possibility. On a good note he didn't look to be limping or reaggravate anything. So hopefully he will be back to his old self this week and the rest of the season God willing. Denard's still my guy for the Hiesman. GO BLUE!

Speaking of running better...

This is just wishful thinking. Who misses Brandon Minor? I know our defense is horrible and who doesn't miss Brandon Graham. I'm just so desperate for one of our... What? Five running backs to come out and say I'm THE guy. Take some pressure off of Denard and the entire Michigan football community. I still love our team and I'm on one knee hoping that we stay focused, grow, and most importantly win. We've shown we can do it and need to put this one behind us.

Thanks

Well still good. I actually went on rivals and searched "Thomas".  The only two I saw that we would most likely pursue where Lawrence and Deanthony. I totally dismissed Deanthony for a kid I thought would have no interest in us. Pleasent surprise.

OT w/in an OT. Thomas?

So this is about recruiting and I cannot post a thread. Because I just joined? I guess. Anyways, I was checking out the ESPN recruiting page and Bill Kurelic has a story titled "Polamalu picks up three more offers; Thomas talking to Michigan." So I read into that and I'm not an insider so I can't read the whole story. Does anyone know what Thomas this is referring to? I don't even want to throw out who I hope it is but... My fingers are crossed.
