I've been to at least three games a year since I was 7. That makes a low end estimate of 84, and at most about 100. |
| 3 weeks 4 days ago | all this smack talk |
about Rutgers and Maryland is a bit out of hand IMO. I think they are both teams that have the "arrow" pointing up, and they will be fun to play every year. Too many old farts here that just want to wave their fingers and say "Get off my lawn!" - We started this whole mess of expansion with our B1G network. The result is every major conferece swiping teams away to make super-conferences and there are still 2 teams left for us to grab. If you are mad about the most recent 2, wait till you find out about the last ones. The best part of all this craziness is that we have an actual COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF in my lifetime. I thought I would be dead before that happened, and I can't wait to watch Michigan in the tourney. Go Blue!! |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | I'm not saying the run was all Tebow. |
I'm just saying the thing that fascinates me about Tebow is how bad his stats are vs. how many games he wins when he starts. Maybe it was all the team around him, maybe he does have some last second magic. I will be interested in the team he goes to, and I really hope he actually gets a shot instead of being paid to hold a clip board. |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | looking ahead.. |
So all the options of teams the B1G will add seem to be East teams.IMO if you look at the map of states the B1G has added, Virginia and Georgia seem to be next. Let's say for the sake of argument that Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech are the two teams that make 16. How would you then split this up? I would think that Michigan would end up with all new B1G teams along with Ohio, Penn State, and MSU. This pretty much means IU goes west and the last protected game is gone. This will make scheduling easier, and they probably did this in anticipation of the next phase. |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | I really like Tebow. |
This guy has horrible stats in the NFL, but how can you argue with his production? He took a losing Denver team to the playoffs not too long ago and even won the first round. Remind me of how Peyton did in the first round last year? I'm not suggesting that he's better than 18, or even in the same ballpark. I'm just saying I like the guy 'cause he wins games. He makes big plays in the clutch and he's fun to watch. If any team gives him a legit shot with the pistol offense, he could do some things. Maybe the Redskins should kick the tires? How much you wanna bet RG3 doesn't play 16 games this year? |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | Man, this is a good series... |
I have read the books and let me tell you kids, winter is coming. I'm really impressed with how well they have translated it onto screen. |
| 6 weeks 3 days ago | Orange |
Because Michigan players don't wear red. Yes, Hoke is the man. I want to see the backup QB candidates. I'm still hoping that we can redshirt Shane if possible. I will also be driving 5 hours to see a free game and pick my own seat in the Big House. The tickets I buy every year aren't really close to the field.... |
| 6 weeks 5 days ago | totally agree |
I choose not to go into detail about what work I may or may not be completing, but let's just say that some of the sentiment above rings true! Super nervous, really excited, and I can't believe we are one measly game away from taking it all down this year. I really think Kansas was the toughest team in the tourney, and this game seems to be a combo of VCU/'Cuse. We have proven that if you depend on turnovers to get points, we will shut you down. I think Michigan wins by 10 and they never get close. Go Blue!!!

| 6 weeks 5 days ago | McGary |
This dude has been our X factor and it isn't a stretch to expect at least a double double along with 2 blocks and two steals. He changes us from a good team to a great team. Dude is the truth, son. |
| 6 weeks 6 days ago | Wow |
What a special year for this team. I can't stop thinking about how great this is for recruiting in all Michigan sports! No matter the outcome, this is a BIG win. Go Blue!!! One more time to enjoy this amazing team that will forever be remembered... |

Would love to run into the mgocommunity and drink together. |
| 9 weeks 5 days ago | We are slowly |
inching our way to a time where mostly Redshirt Juniors and Seniors are starting every Saturday. I am the most excited about the added beef to both sides of our lines. We all know that the whole game is won or lost with the big dudes up front, and it looks like we've upgraded mass and strength in that area. Some of them will be green, but with a few vets showing the ropes, along with a ton of competition (especially at OL) this should be fun to watch. How is Toussaint? Will he be ready for this year? Will Rawls beat him out? How will his skill set match up with this pro-style offense? Can't wait to find out. Go Blue!! |
| 11 weeks 5 days ago | Am I crazy? |
Or... Was the "over and back" call totally bogus?? The announcers said it had to do with where the players feet were, but i always thought it was the ball - Am I just old and remembering wrong? Also, it didn't even remotely look like Mitch dribbled the ball on the line. In my estimation that's two horribly blown calls at the end of a critical game that could have sealed the deal. Maybe I'm crazy... Glad we still won - Go Blue!!! |
| 12 weeks 2 days ago | This young team is just bad on the road |
They don't seem to respond well when an opposing crowd gets rowdy. They get gittery, nervous and they make big mistakes. I am really disapointed in this team, and blaming refs is loser talk. Cry me a river, we fell flat on our face at the end of that game. |
| 14 weeks 3 days ago | let's try that again... | |

why they keep including Notre Dame. There was a time when we thought they could possibly join the B1G - now that we know that not to be the case I think they should be omitted from this list. In two years we stop playing and they will be out of sight, out of mind. I really don't care about ND, and I really don't care how their class compares to ours. They won't be having so many lucky last second wins this year. |
| 27 weeks 4 days ago | Hope we send him off right - |
Whether or not Denard plays the last two games, he has been an amazing player to get to watch. His upbeat demeanor, never-ending smile and leadership has been a blast to experience as a fan. I will miss him a ton, and he might just go down as my favorite in a long list of pretty badass QB's. He and Devin are also probably the last two guys we will see with a winged helmet at QB that can really turn and burn with their legs. I actually prefer the pro-style smashmouth approach, but this veer into the spread has been a rollercoaster ride. Thanks for all the memories, and Go Blue!!! We love you Denard!!! |
| 27 weeks 6 days ago | I really |
like how Devin's skillset matches up with Borges' playcalling style. Don't get me wrong, I love Denard - but you can't deny the offense looks 100% different under Devin. DG can make the five step hitch look seamless. He can draw the D offsides and get a free bomb play (really love when he does that, yo). If I had a say in the matter, I would throw Denard in the slot and run screens and jet sweeps with him. Hell, let 'em go deep. I do also see that the staff owes it to him to let him start as many games as he is physically able to. I will really miss getting to watch him in a winged helmet after this year. Shoelace has been a blast to cheer for, and the future seems bright in Ann Arbor. Go Blue!

Dave Chapelle - you need to talk to SAMPSON! |
| 28 weeks 1 day ago | Excited about our new frosh! |
Did you guys read about how Stauskas broke the all-time 50 in 5 mins record for our coach? The dude hit 78 in 5 mins the first time he tried. Holly balls, that guy is a dead eye shooter. McGary will rule the world, GR will be our best player, and our lineup isn't tiny anymore. Can't wait to follow this team - Go Blue!!! |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | wow |
Lane's wife's hotness is inversly proportional to his morals. This guy has already left more than one fan base hating him, and I feel like the list will grow like a wildfire before all is said and done. How many years until he's run out of USC? Who knows... |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | this whole thing is WHACK |
I couldn't agree with Blazefire more. Given what's been happening at North Carolina with phantom classes and curriculum, this is not even worth looking at. The way the NCAA spends their time and effort makes no sense. This should have been discussed for 5 seconds and thrown away to spend more time trying to find out who else is actually cheating in college athletics. |
| 28 weeks 5 days ago | I actually like this for this year. |
I would like nothing more than to get matched up with teams the B1G can beat for once. We usually get paired up with teams that are vastly better and assigned with the task of beating them in their own state. Maybe we have less teams in this year, but a winning record in bowls. I would take that all day and twice on tuesday. |
| 28 weeks 5 days ago | exactly. |
Vegas isn't trying to do anything more than get the most action on every bet. The more people who throw down cash the more the house makes on the extra 10% or whatever the sportsbook charges these days. That being said, I think we need to jump on this NW team early. They have the firepower to put up a ton of points, and our offense is not that prolific. Who is starting for us at QB, BTW? |
| 29 weeks 4 days ago | hmmmm... |
I still haven't shaken the fact that they just refused to try Devin in this game. I had talked myself into a situation where his shoulder was hurt to the point where he can't throw, but he can catch. Now that Brady is saying he's fine, it makes me mad again. Football coaches are usually rewarded with stubbornness (sp), but in this instance it drives me crazy. How can you see Bellomy out there drowning and not give someone else a shot? Jack Kennedy is also a football player that might not have folded up into a ball screaming for his mother. When you throw three completions and three interceptions along with a ton of incompletions things aren't going well. I just don't get the bull-headedness. It's the same with Fitz. Brady can blame this on the line all day, but I DID watch the game several times, and I don't think the guy is back to his fire from last year. I think his best effort came in a game where he split time with Rawls. Thomas runs through tacklers and doesn't always go down on first contact. I'm not saying we would have won with someone else, but it seems like the coaches are going with the starters no matter how they play. This is a bit strange IMHO. |
| 31 weeks 5 days ago | Can't wait!! |
This will be my first UM vs. MSU game (that I've been to) - usually I don't get to go to the bigger games, so this will be awesome. I just wish I knew when kickoff was... I think I hate MSU more than Ohio right now also. We have to right things in the world with them. Then we can move on and think about other fish that need frying. |
| 32 weeks 4 days ago | awesome |
I am a huge Colts fan living in Indy and all the support he is getting is fantastic. We all wish him a speedy recovery, and it's people like coach Hoke that really show how to be a leader. On a side note, my wife asked me on Saturday why Michigan wasn't wearing any pink for breast cancer awareness, and I had no answer. What's up with no pink for our team? |
| 32 weeks 4 days ago | I am stupid. |
I thought this was the one night game of the year. Even though no time has been posted, I was pretty sure this was a night game. I am travelling to a work function on Friday in Chicago and planned to ride the train to AA that arrives at 1:05pm Saturday (I already bought the ticket). Now I feel like even if the game is at 3:30, that's not enough time to tailgate and enjoy my friends and family. This whole thing is putting the fans last in line at the consideration booth. |
