I’ve lived here for 12 years now and I wouldn’t move back to the USA.
I live in a town just North of Frankfurt. I tried for 3 years to get a job with just my military background , German language certificate and Business Admin degree. I was rejected at every turn . Luckily the Mrs is German so I could stay here as long as I wanted . I lucked into a job with Boeing and flipped that to a management job with a different aerospace company .
With that being said ...
6 weeks is not enough time to find a job .
I’ll list the problems in order -
1. You will need a Temporary work visa for at a minimum of a year BEFORE a company will hire you . Hiring an employee is expensive in Germany. Health insurance, workers insurance...etc.
2. You will need a bank account for EVERYTHING.... hard to get one of these without a permanent address. Let me also add- with FACTA - it’s hard for Americans to get European bank accounts .
3. English is not enough to get a job anymore . In most medium to large cities , you don’t even have to speak German anymore . Native speaker jobs have almost disappeared .
Honestly - I wish them good luck .
If you/ they need any guidance . I would be happy to help a fellow Michigan fan .
The armed forces network. US Armed Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS) network serving US Forces communities with radio and TV programming. basically if you are overseas its your CBS. we are basically at the Mercy of what afn wants to show for football.
I live in Germany and play football here. I was in the army and got out to live here. There is a lot of talent here, especially for offensive and defensive lineman.I don't know how much would be D.1 talent but there is talent here.

Mr. Whitley is not the DT you Play against an uptempo team like Ohio state . He would have ran out of gas pretty fast .
Except it’s not - that would be Giessen .
