tell you who's better. They're better on that day but not necessarily tell you who's the better overall team. We all know Michigan is a better overall team than Iowa but Iowa beat them. Is Iowa a better team than Michigan? No.
|20 hours 47 min ago||Because it's top heavy||
with Michigan and OSU. Wisconsin and PSU are meh teams and the rest all suck. Larger percentage of bad teams in a conference than the rest of the P5 conferences.
|1 day 10 hours ago||I had 11-1 with a loss to OSU||
I had 11-1 with a loss to OSU so yes I consider it a failure because I thought the schedule is cupcake and B1G is a bad conference(jury still out on Wisconsin and PSU whom I don't think is a good team)
|2 days 8 hours ago||Big thing going against Scott||
is he is terrible in protecting the QB and doesn't offer much as a receiver. I do get your point on LJ Scott getting left off despite a meh OL and a bad QB play. He deserves a mention in the All-Conference.
|2 days 21 hours ago||Saquon Barkley is by far||
the best RB in the conference and it's not close. Barkley is considered to be the top RB for 2018 draft along with Derrius Guice.

hire an offensive minded coach who knows how to put up points and develop QBs. That's what sells recruits. If he can find the next Drew Brees, he should be good.
|2 days 22 hours ago||Michael Thomas did just fine||
in the NFL. There's Aaron Hernandez (before the murder), Riley Cooper, and Percy Harvin (before he became a pain in the ass). Point is NFL don't care much for which offensive system you come from as long as you have talent. A lot of successful NFL players came from the spread offense.

when you don't have Hackenberg holding the offense back last season. Hackenberg was awful

He lost it the moment he leaves the state of Louisiana. Louisiana athletes are pretty much locks to go to LSU or elite southern schools.

It's a tradition that they play the last regular season of the game in the country
|4 days 7 hours ago||How is it terrible?||
It's pretty simple.
Every home conference games, the league assign the refs to ref at the game.
The home team pay the ref based X amount of money they're being paid to ref plus the mileage away from home.
Not that hard to comprehend.
|5 days 22 hours ago||lol||
the conference hire and assign the referees to all of the home conference team's games, not the individual schools. Every home team pay the refs based on mileage from home and X set amount of money they're being paid to ref the game.
I know this because I work in college athletics. Just the way it works.

Football, you are limited to 20 to 20 yard sideline to roam around. For Basketball, it's basically the bench and probably a few feet beyond it. Apples to Oranges

|6 days 7 hours ago||To be fair||
the refs didn't call a single holding on both teams (twice they called hands on the face on OSU and Michigan player). They're consistent in that regard. Both OSU and Michigan front 7 were dominant. OL are taught to grab the inside of the pads and latch onto them to drive them backward. The refs allow it as long as it's not outside of the shoulder pads. I've seen a couple of missed obvious holding on both sides that went uncalled which is fair because they weren't going to call it all game long.
DPI on the other hand are inconsistent and rightfully should've been the target of complaint.

Heisman to lose. No clear cut #2 to make it interesting or competitive.
|6 days 12 hours ago||That make no sense||
the goal is to have the 4 best teams in the country play in the playoff, not the most deserving. Can't have it both ways depending on this Saturday.
|6 days 13 hours ago||Jaylon Smith||
is a poster boy for not playing in the bowl game. Suffered a likely career ending injury on a routine play. He still got drafted but the medical diagonis isn't promising. He still can't feel anything on his foot (aka drop foot).
|1 week 2 hours ago||This year?||
I don't see anyone saying 8-4 or 9-3 before the season started. It was more along the line with 10-11 win season because the schedule is a joke. I consider this season a disappointment because Michigan shouldn't have two losses and I expected Michigan/OSU game a toss up which it is. I expected Michigan to roll through without a problem.
Next year is going to be a lot tougher because they pretty much lose everybody from this season.

I think the computer poll should have a place because it takes away human bias and don't care about conference champion.
|1 week 10 hours ago||He had quite a few defensive players||
at BC going to play in the NFL. It's not like he coached a bunch of scrub.
|1 week 10 hours ago||It was an evenly matched game||
where both defenses played fantastic. Both teams have a lot of future NFL players on defense. This is the game where we look back in a few years and say wow, that's a lot of NFL players playing on the field.
Michigan offense for the most part did a good job of limiting 3rd and long situation but when they do get into the situation, it's not pretty because that's where OSU unleash their pass rush from every DL spot with 4 DEs. They pressured Speight into making mistakes or throwing erratic passes.
Harbaugh didn't get the penalty for throwing down his headsets. It's the series of meltdown of throwing headset, playsheets and other things. The weird thing is he got mad on a correct call by the officials.
I thought both coaches didn't call a good game yesterday. Harbaugh was bad in 2nd half IMO. The offense struggled to get going in the 2nd half and that allowed OSU to claw back into the game.
The last game winning TD play, it was on Michigan defense for the misalignment because OSU went with unbalanced formation and Jabrill didn't recognize it until it's too late then overran the play anyway.
2017 is going to be tough because Michigan will lose 8 offensive starters and 10(maybe 11) defensive starters. That's a lot to replace no matter how you slice it. Biggest question will be WRs and DBs. Good new is they have Speight back which should help but this is where Don Brown truly earn his money. How will his defense perform with essentially a brand new defensive players.
|1 week 1 day ago||Next year isn't going to be the year either||
Michigan will lose pretty much just about everybody due to graduation and the draft. A lot of unproven players stepping into the starting role.
Michigan will lose 8 starters and 10(maybe 11) starters for 2017 season. No matter how you slice it, that's a lot. Michigan defense is senior laden team and will be the most inexperienced defense in the country. They have Rashan Gary, Maurice Hurst and Chase Winovich at DL which is solid. You know Hurst will perform well in starting duty, you hope Gary progress and Winovich is an unknown thrusting into starting role. Hard to tell if a player will step up from reserve to starting role. Secondary will be a lot different with Jourdan and Stribling (plus Jeremy Clark) gone at CB. Michigan could be in for a growing pain as far as defending against the pass.
