The Pistons was debating between Devin Booker and Stanley Johnson but ultimately chose Stanley because of his age, size, athleticism and potential. With Devin Booker quickly becoming one of the better young G in the league, some of the front office personnel were grumbling that they passed on a star for a young player who has an attitude problem.
|1 day 2 hours ago||Look at SG in the NBA||
there's a lot of scarcity in quality SGs in the league. You have Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler, DeMar DeRozan, CJ McCollum, Devin Booker. I don't consider James Harden a SG since he's a PG for the Rockets. After that, you can make a serious case for KCP after top 5 because it's a very weak position. Based on that definition, yes, he's one of the better SG in the league.
|1 day 2 hours ago||Considering||
the SG market KCP will command a lot of money since he's better than a lot of SG getting 15 million per year.
|1 day 3 hours ago||I wouldn't keep Jackson||
I am more inclined to keep Drummond but it would take a very good offer for me to consider trading him away. Guy like Drummond who is basically a walking 20-10 and still has potential to be better.
KCP has emerged as one of the better SG in the league. His defense has been solid but his shooitng has improved to the point where he's a legit 3 and D SG which is rare. He still needs work on driving game because he has a tendency to go full speed or stop with nothing in between. If he can develop it a bit more, he's a valuable commodity.
|2 days 46 min ago||When it comes to the pros||
they really don't give a shit about which school a person attend as long as he's good.
|2 days 10 hours ago||Successful outside small CBs||
are the exception, not the norm. Even though Jourdan Lewis measurement at SR Bowl was a big win for him since he barely met the minimum threshold. There are NFL teams who abide by the measurement like height, weight, arm length, hand size, etc. They will disqualify players if they don't meet them all.
Jourdan Lewis won't get a look by Seattle Seahawks because they favor taller CBs with long arms for example.
|2 days 14 hours ago||Because JB||
wants them to get back on defense and not give up a quick 2/3 points in transition. He wants to slow down the game and let his offense take over with shooting.
|6 days 16 hours ago||Michigan defense has been playing well as of late||
maybe it's a sign of them figuring out Donlan's defensive scheme where they're much more comfortable at playing defense aka proactive instead of reactive.
|6 days 16 hours ago||Considering||
on how bad he started off this season, it's nice to see him coming into form. His shooting has been improving which is good but his bread and butter is always driving to the hoop.
|1 week 11 hours ago||Not odd they aren't invited||
with the exception of Magnuson, I think Kalis and Thomas aren't good enough to get drafted.
|1 week 11 hours ago||There are plenty of||
players from Shrine Game and Senior Bowl games got invited to the combine. The fact they weren't invited is telling but not the end of the world. 35% of the players who got invited didn't get drafted. That being said, I don't think Kalis would get drafted but Magnuson has a chance of getting drafted.
|1 week 1 day ago||Kalis||
making all conference speak more about how bad B1G OL has been this year. Dan Feeney is the only elite OL on the list. Pat Eflien struggled at C but showed out at OG the year before.
For comparsion sake, Taylor Mouton from WMU is projected to be a 2nd round pick and can start for both Michigan and MSU. How he fell through the crack, I don't know. Mouton has the NFL size at 6'5" 330 lbs and athleticism to stick at OG and OT. Mouton would've easily made all-B1G this season.
|1 week 1 day ago||I doubt he'll put||
up a good combine numbers considering his struggle in coverage. He's kind of slow and lacks the COD to keep up with quicker players. He's much better going foward than side to side and backward.
|1 week 1 day ago||Combine is more for interviews than||
|1 week 1 day ago||Combine is all about physical measurement||
aka Height/Weight/Arm Length and interviews more than workouts. Workouts are secondary to the evaluations. It shouldn't raise or lower prospect's stock by no more than half a round.
|1 week 1 day ago||WMU trademarked it||
but it was Fleck who started the RTB slogan because it is his idea.
|1 week 2 days ago||It's pretty obvious that Teske||
isn't fully comfortable with running the offense at 5 and the defensive concept as well. Once he feel comfortable, he should be a force at the low block as a shot blocker.
|1 week 4 days ago||Problem||
is they don't watch basketball and don't watch NBA. They don't realize that the trend has been moving towards spacing and 3 pt shooting.
If there's any criticism, it should be on defense, not offense. JB offense has been efficient for years.
|1 week 4 days ago||I want Michigan to beat IU||
at Bloomington more than anything. I consider IU as our biggest rivals along with MSU in basketball. OSU basketball is meh in terms of rivalry to me.
|1 week 4 days ago||Pounding the post has never been JB's MO||
and post plays are the least efficient shot in basketball. Mo, Donnal and Wilson aren't post players.
|2 weeks 1 day ago||Combine workout isn't going to improve||
a prospect's stock especially when scouts are expecting Jabrill to test out well in explosiveness and speed test.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||Bama ran RPO offense||
under Kiffin with Hurts at QB.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||FWIW,||
NFL teams goes by their scout's stopwatches, not NFL's combine electronic timing. They think it's not 100% accurate. They get 3-4 scouts and time prospects and basically average them out between them which would be their official time.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||He doesn't need a bit of coaching||
He needs a LOT of coaching and he's coming from a spread offense system (Tony Franklin system) that is vastly different than Harbaugh's offense. He needs to learn how to get off from 3 pt stance and pass pro in 45 degree set plus run block as well. He might as well be a freshman only as a grad student.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||NFL are looking at Desmond||
King at S, not CB. They believe he doesn't run well to stick at CB and has the ability to move to FS where he can use his ballhawk skills to use.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Thing is NFL||
never saw him as a 1st round pick. He's too small to be consider a 1st round pick especially when CB class is LOADED with prospects. He barely meet the minimum measurement. They viewed him more of a nickel corner than an outside CB.
|3 weeks 3 hours ago||Cal OL is awful||
it's going to take a lot of coaching up to get him up to speed on using correct techniques since they really don't teach them a lot of it except vertical sets after vertical sets.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||I'm upset that the MGoBlog App HD is done||
they're superior to the official app and it's not close.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||Disagree||
they would compete with the top of the conference. They might struggle initially but will assert themselves once they established themselves in the new conference.
Boise State has put out numerous players to the NFL. They have 23 players in the NFL while Michigan had 21.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||It's because||
GR tends to have good coaching but not much of D1 talents. The athleticism isn't up to par to Metro Detroit or Detroit area or Muskegon area teams.
