There would be fan support at illinois, but they would need a huge initial investment in a facility a la PSU. NW could use the united center, but it's pretty booked up with the bulls/hawks/misc stuff, and i can't imagine anyone associated with NW would care. Neb would be like Ill, but UNO already has a program and i doubt the regents/board for the NU system would want that kind of competition. The sleeper is Iowa, who would have a decent shot at aquiring talent with the USHL having a big presence in DeMoines, IIRC. Would need a facility in IC I assume. They would get fan support I think. IU, PU no way. Rutgers and Maryland, who the hell knows- someone help us with these 2 |

I really don't think the ND decision was a result of the choice b/t Michigan and Purdue/MSU. I think it was a choice b/t Michigan and Tex/Bama/OU/FSU (a rotating big time team). They realied that even a pseudo-quasi conference committment-ish substance won't allow for them to play as national a schedule as they'd like. Now, I think that pretty fucking short sighted considering that the ND-M game gets more national attention than many of their committments, but w/e. |

what a great article. the biggest thing I've never understood about this is how often and easliy people DEHUMANIZE other people. and it's so tolerated, and in fact encouraged. it's disgusting. Especially in EL and Ohio. I'm not even that upset about people who boo the home team (in a general manner)- like at half of the 2008 Wisc. game in RRs 1st year. that whole half was a disgrace to football and if a team deserved to get booed, that was it. Now, yelling about having s'ships revoked from specific players goes too far, but a good boo at the end of a half is fine. |

Only Pistons fans could look at this series and actually commend the way the Bulls have played. I think they have more techs than assists in this series- the plays they make are not basketball plays. Just like the knicks of the 90s and the bad boys of the 80s-91, it's MMA on a basketball court and shouldn't be encouraged.
