Date Title Body
Carr's team meeting.

I personally can't think of a scenario or circumstance where it would ever be a better life option to get your degree from from places like Ohio or Colorado, over the University of Michigan but thats just my take on it.

Basketball is a game of runs.

I always thought all teams where streaky but maybe Michigan is a tad more because of the 3's....Be patient Michigan will streak for you, promise...

It really hurt me

to see Denard on the sideline. Denard is such a good kid and has done so much for Michigan. He is such an amazing football talent and I believe Borges will use him in the best possible way to help us win our final two games.

I just hope that I'm not seeing what I think I'm seeing, as it pertains to Denard and his future to be the Michigan QB. I trust this coaching staff to continue to use both QB's in the best way to help Michigan win out and get to a BCS bowl.(Maybe)

Sorry I tuned in

they were nailing 3's untill then, now there 1-13 down the stretch.

Living and dieing by the 3 this team is definantly a work in progress. But I guess thats what these 1st few games are for. They need Horford of JM to give them something down low to challenge for b-10 title.

It's still just game 1, and remember it took them a while to get it together last year. Plus, it's basketball which means it's a game of runs, I just missed there 1st half so it looked worse than it was. They'll get it going in the second half, no doubt.

I tried all 3 browsers and open in a new tab but no luck.

Maybe im not doing it right.

This is so depressing I was looking forward to this game all day..

EDIT: Thxs a million for the stream. Way to be selfless.

Same, signed up

last week free be cobe an now it wants me to sign up again.

If anyone figure's this out could you please post  how you did?

Hemingway catch

had a chance if it had been called a TD on the field but the nose of the football clearly hit the ground and shifted through his grasp. The field ruling was never going to be overturned, probably either way.

The thing that had me baffeled and still does even after Borges said "there was know getting to the edges with Denard Iowa wasn't going to allow that" was the 4th down call. I never thought in a million years that Michigan would throw it on 4th down. Watching the 1st three plays I thought, (well if they get to 4th down they'll have to run there 2-point conversion play) which stupid me was conviced it would be either option left, right or a Denard lead left or right.

It isn't fair to second guess Borges because he know's the game of football way more than a loyal fan like me but in those situation's I always thought you go to your strength's not your weakness. Unless your out talented then sometimes you do have to go where the defense isn't.

I still don't know if we played bad or if Iowa just has more talent than us. I still hate admitting that other teams have more talent than us but they dictated the game up front on both sides and better teams tend to do that. I liked it better when we could say," we were young" or "we don't have any depth". What really scares me is that I watched Iowa a few times this year and Iowa's defense was really bad.

If Michgan wins out

and MSU loses at Iowa & at Northwestern, and Iowa loses there last game of the year at Nebraska we go to  Big-10 Championship game.

I know thats alot to ask for but atleast if we win out I think Michigan fans will be happy with the bowl we get, BCS?

I'm on record of

being in Gordons corner over Woolfolk.

To me it seems that Woolfolk takes bad angles maybe because he wants to takle from the side and not heads up, I don't know but I don't think he's physical enough for safety.

His speed is a plus but like Mangus stated, Iowa went with a quick strike passing game to probably avoid Mattison's zone blitz packages and to atack Floyd's back pedal. I think coverage and takling might have worked better.

Denard does seem slower or just hesitant at times. One thing I've noticed is the pulling lineman seem to not only anounce the play but also take for ever and Denard has to wait on them allowing defences to get the angle or force the cutback.

One last thing on Denard is it just me or does he seam to immediately look for the side line when he gets to the second level. I understand it though he is our QB and we need him to avoid injury.

Just some observations but what do I know.

This is my take on it

Keep in mind that this is based on Neb, MSU, and UM winning all other games not mentioned in said senario.

Michigan gets in if....

Senario 1- Michigan wins out and Michigan St. loses one of it's final 4 games.

Senario 2- Michigan beats Nebraska and Iowa and goes 1-1 with Illinois and Ohio St. Michigan St goes 2-1 vs Iowa, NW, or Minny.

Senario 3- If MSU loses only to IU and wins there other 3 gms, and Michigan does senario 2 it would get a little tricky, not likely, so ill leave it out = It would go to #4, common conference opponets if anyone else wants to figure that one out.

Explanation on senario 2, MSU would be eliminated under step # 2, because they would be 3-2 in division and both Neb and UM would be 4-1. So in a 3 way tie, if any team is removed through a step the two teams left will go to head to head. Mich beating Neb will get us in.

Bottom line Michigan must beat both Iowa and Neb to have any chance to get in and even then they will still need MSU to lose 1 more game.

T. Gordon's and....

I don't even think it's close.

Woolkolk over Gordon? no. Woolfolk over Avery as the 5th db? Maybe.

Paterno had the nods

I think it was in the 2nd, Penn St. was down on the goaline and there was a decision to be made on whether or not to go for it on 4th dn. The camera was focused on Jo Pa up in the booth and the announcers said somethin like, "Paterno has a huge decision to make". He was nodding out, mid day, during a Penn St. football game, unbeleavable.

Does anyone still think that he has anything to do with any decision's at all?

Keep'em coming

HOKE!...I'm in total shock right now. It's causing me to have to read everything twice but---^@*%^$...I'm just speechless.

My only problem with all this is...

Why do these kids keep signing to these schools, (Ala. LSU), if they know they run the risk of being cut??...If all this is true you think these kids and there parents would take a closer look at the SEC school's that participate in this...I'm not trying to argue I truely would like to know because you would expect to see a down swing in quality of there recruiting...no?...just askin...

That picture reminds me of just how cold it gets in Michigan..

I've been living down here in Florida since I left Michigan in 2008...Yikes!

I know nothing about watching video like some on here but

I'm sold on this kid from what I've seen....Again, I suck at being able to tell whether a kid, (by watching High School tape alone), can play or not.

I always thought,

that as Michigan fans we all were excited that rr was going to focus on the south.(Florida)...As was stated, this is where most of the talent is...no?

I hope your correct. However,

while at the Bowl game one thing I noticed that I never was able to watching on TV, was that Denard had recievers running down the middle of the field wide open (because MSU was blitzing there lb's on almost every play), but he was never able to see them.....I'm sure there are reason's for this that people a lot smarter than me could point out, like: scheme, youth, height, ect.

Is it

Febuary 2nd yet?...Every day I'm getting more n more excited about this staff's ability to recruit.

We still

have Hill though...Well then just keep building the defense Martin Mayhew.

I get a flash of arrector pili

when I listen to Denard describe his reason's for staying. It gives me a lot of hope for the future of Michigan football...Go Blue 4 Life

Sorry

but I have to disagree with the OP.

Thanks a lot.

You always seem to have quality threads.

Yeeees!

This is great news because I truely believe that with Denard on board everything else will fall into place, at least attrition wise. I was wondering if anyone on here believes that Denard could still win the Hiesman?...Or will he lose out to the Pro-Style offense and it's tendency equally distribute the football?

My brother sent me a text while at school yesterday and said,

"Hoke it is", I was in the middle of doing a Pediatric patient assessment and I simply walked out on my instructor. He's a die-hard Hurricanes fan so he thankfully he understood. Anyway, as of today I'm 100% behind Hoke, my love for Michigan demands it.

I wish Rich would

let us know how important this game is to Michigan now and the future...I feel so bad for him, it sounds like everything he says is in defense of in case we lose.BUT I also heard him say "guys win or lose this game were gonna be better next year and even better the year after that". I believe you Rich and to show it I'll be there win or lose in Jacksonville with you, for you, and in total support of you. Go Blue!

Indiana win at the time.

The win vs Indiana was big at the time. Ya, I know its Indiana but it was 2 undefeated teams at the time and it preceded the MSU game. It wasn't until around 1:00pm, the following week , when Ohio st. was pummeling Indiana, (28-0 in the second quarter), that I was like, "uh-oh".

LOL

Never seen anyone on a fast break pull-up for 7 inch jumper...poor Novak tried.

This half has been

a little frustrating. The only word that I can think of is, LAZY. This is not a team that can just show up and expect a win. For those of you who didn't get to catch the UTEP game, there effort tonight looks about the same. That night I kept waiting for them to get it going and they never did. Luckily for us NCCU is a horrible team.

Close out

strong.

Horford

I like this kid.

OMG

I hope they pick it up...there bigs are useless with Morgan on the bench...can someone please put it on the deck..

Attendance

Looks to be around 130 and thats counting players, coaches and media...I don't get it.

Barwis stays

Is there any chance that if RR were to go that Barwis might stay?

Michigan will win with

a healthy Denard...Go Blue

I love Michigan but

in my opinion I don't think this defense would have been good if they ran a 5-5-5...Most of the time they looked lost and flat out over-matched...it's sad and it hurt's. I wish it wasn't this way but it is and unlike the offense in 2009, I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I hope I'm wrong,I really do.

I've watched every game but there first one,

I think this team has a shot at the NIT..I don't want to put to much pressure on this team to early but I think it's going to be an exciting year for Michigan BB.

With Darius Morris in

the line-up Michigan have a chance against most...This kid makes everyone on the floor better, Manny was a great individual scorer but when he had the ball the rest of team did a lot of watching...and just think Morris is only a soph...NIT is a real possibility.

Roy Roundtree is a beast though

It's nice to see there practicing the swing pass/screen to Roundtree because he dropped a few of those toward the end of the season and thats a play that's good for 5 or 6 yards a pop.

I know it's been addressed but

it's crazy to see all the empty seats...I know he does a lot of the little things but Novak's shooting is hard to watch.

TCU vs Wisky

How is TCU favored?...this is crazy. I guess it's just the all around lack of respect of the Big 10 on a national scale...I live in Florida so you can imagine what I have to listen to.

Latin fight aye?

a;skdj9......just kidding....but it has been a delight to read all the drama, keep it coming.

Thank you very much for

Thank you very much for posting these videos.

I keep refreshing this page

I keep refreshing this page to see what Irish will respond with, the suspence is killing me.

Why did the OP get negged so

Why did the OP get negged so bad?...I don't understand it...

I don't think all this is bad

I don't think all this is bad luck,  maybe bad reality, but I think there's alot of different reason's why we have so many guys beat up....

I don't think Tate is leaving

I don't think Tate is leaving anytime soon...Untill Denard can physically withstand the pounding he will be are Cliff Lee and Tate will be are Mariano Rivera...So, yes please I'll take another High School Quaterback for the class of 2011...

What if Avery makes the

What if Avery makes the tackle on Robinson and Michigan goes down and ties it and we win in overtime?...What if Denard doesn't throw the the pick in the endzone to Rucker?...and WHAT IF... ... ..... .... ..... ....?????.

I think Roh's big leap will

I think Roh's big leap will come in this up coming off-season. Another 10 lbs of muscle will go along way in his pass-rush...I agree 100% with your statement that he's a way better DE than LB. His hand in the dirt suit's him on pass-plays but I don't know that he's physically there on run-plays.

I love reading statistical

I love reading statistical things that are geared toword making me feel worm and fuzzy about Michigan's future...The future is bright for Michigan football I don't understand how some fans can't see this...
