|11 weeks 4 days ago||Not saying this is||
a be all end all, but one of the guys at Rotoworld did pre-draft roster rankings and had the Lions at #11. Said we did "less with more" than any team in the last 5 years

Is possibly the best upper weight wrestler ever to come through this state. He was a 4x state champ. Twice at 215, two other times at heavyweight. Now, the football team has picked up some great heavyweight wrestlers. Mike Martin and Terrance Taylor were both state champs. They weren't on Coon's level. We have a real special one, and a real shot at having a 4x ncaa champ

think they're gonna hire someone who has a WS ring? You're severely limiting your options there. Here is a list of managers to win a ring since 1995: Bobby Cox, JIM LEYLAND, Joe Torre, Bob Brenley, Mike Scioscia, Jack McKeon, Terry Francona, Ozzie Guillen, Tony LaRussa, Charlie Manuel, Joe Giradi, and Bruce Bochy.
Now, which of those would you think is reasonably likely to be hired if you think they wouldn't hire someone who didn't have a ring.
|44 weeks 4 days ago||You bet I am||
but I was also 10 when he won the Heisman so I have very limited memory of watching Woodson at Michigan sadly
|44 weeks 5 days ago||I don't care||
what any other Michigan fans thought of Denard. Whether they appreciated him or not is irrelevant to me and quite frankly, their loss. What I do know is that I appreciated him and enjoyed every last second of watching him. To this day, I've still only ever been to one Michigan game that Denard didn't play in. Also, a blue #16 jersey is the only Michigan jersey I have ever bought and it will take an EXTRORDIARY effort to get me to buy another (Looking at you Peppers).
In closing, I love you, Denard!
|44 weeks 5 days ago||I would||
however, point out that Denard was 1-1 as the starting QB against OSU

To Richmond high school too. The Michigan version tho
|46 weeks 2 hours ago||my solution||
is simple. Instead of starting from the top, I scroll down until I find the last thing I read. Then I read the stories each on my way back to the top.
|46 weeks 5 hours ago||that does it||
I'm going to McDonald's (where they have a giant M for a logo) and ordering a 20 piece Notre McDame
|46 weeks 5 days ago||I'm really||
hoping that this UFR is the beginning of evidence of these DL adhering to the Heninger Certainty Principle.
|46 weeks 6 days ago||two things stick out||
One, yes ND dialed it down against Temple. So did our team against CMU, yet we still scored 59 compared to 28. Second, they get lots of defections because they recruit at a high level. We recruit at a high level with very few defections. Explain that.
|47 weeks 1 hour ago||Go read||
the picture pages from yesterday. Brian seems to think so
|47 weeks 1 hour ago||Wow||
I'd never seen that Brian Cushing write up. By the way, the score of that 2007 game that NDNation was predicting to go to the Irish as of that 2005 writing? 38-0 USC
|47 weeks 6 days ago||My favorite||
part is all of it. Also, the part where you keyed all 11 defenders on Peppers and I still doubt they could stop him. Honestly, I don't know if I've ever been this excited for a recruit to just get here and be on our team.
|48 weeks 4 days ago||Hill||
Hill is a 2016 recruit. Jame Ross III has a little brother named Josh in the 2017 class though.
If you go to 247 though and go to the Michigan site, there are plenty of 2016 targets listed already. http://michigan.247sports.com/Season/2016-Football/Targets
|48 weeks 5 days ago||who is the||
5th recruit committed? Harris, Campbell, Runyan, and David... Unless you're counting Pallante, but even if he counts for 2015, he's still a 2014 recruit.
|48 weeks 6 days ago||I think||
Gholston just likes to look like he wants to fight all the time
|50 weeks 39 min ago||I will||
get married and divorced several times per year if that's what it takes to land ALL THE RECRUITS
|50 weeks 10 hours ago||it is never||
Too soon. And when those names become available and interest is gauged, then the mock class will change. These are always fluid. Hell, in my 2014 class I didn't even list Jared Wangler as of 3 weeks ago and that class is almost over
|50 weeks 1 day ago||I could see||
Tyriq Thompson being an in-state kid we take. If we start off with 16 spots for 2015, here's a little mock class I'd start with. Bold are commits and I'll include the Scout100 ranking since that's what just came out
QB: unknown right now. Only offer is #14 Josh Rosen, but his interest is low
RB: #22 Damien Harris
WR: #13 George Campbell
TE: Tyrone Wheatley
OL: Jon Runyan, #62 Sterling Jenkins
DL: Brady Pallante, #47 Jashon Cornell, #18 Keisean Lucier-South (Others of note include Josh Alabi, #53 Kamonte Carter, #1 Tim Settle, #40 Terry Beckner)
LB: #48 Osa Masina, #54 Justin Hilliard, Tyriq Thompson
CB: #98 Shaun Crawford
S: Tyree Kinnel
ATH: #59 Brian Cole
K: Andrew David
How would everyone feel about that if we could only take 16?
|50 weeks 5 days ago||Well||
lefties do have a .550 OPS against Coke so there's that
|50 weeks 5 days ago||Well if you want to||
play that game then RABURN (no Y in it) is better than...well everyone
|50 weeks 5 days ago||That's ok||
based on what I've seen, Cleveland is property of Detroit, so it's all good

Purdue is a whore. First osu, now it hooked up with Michigan State and had twins that were named Maryland and Rutgers
|51 weeks 1 day ago||pencils?||
I remember those. Seriously though, I have a #2 keyboard if you need it for the test
|51 weeks 1 day ago||you didnt hear?||
He's transfering to Michigan Staee because of that Blacknail guy or whatever his name is
|52 weeks 1 hour ago||Slide him back?||
They're all still pitching every 5 days anyways
|52 weeks 2 hours ago||No||
if Peralta doesn't get suspended, we got a great backup for the rest of this year, and the starter for after this season is over. The Tigers weren't planning on re-signing Peralta unless they absolutely had to.
|52 weeks 2 hours ago||Don't forget||
about Doug Fister. He's just as extreme of a ground ball pitcher as Porcello
|52 weeks 2 hours ago||That's||
completely a sample size issue. You can't use advanced defensive metrics when you only have 240 innings to judge on. It's the same issue as thinking he's a .330 talent hitter because that's what he's hitting this year. He's not a .330 level hitter, nor is he struggling defensively. He probably projects as a .260 type and the best defensive SS in the game. As long as he can maintain near an average level OBP over the course of a year, he'll be great to have in our lineup. Hell, he's SO GOOD defensively, he could probably survive being a bit below average at getting on base.
