What could have been

The feeling of knowing your team is moving on in the tournament is glorious! My Saturday was one of the best in a long time. We destroyed the Vols, and had a real shot at knocking off Duke. Now I'm just depressed. People tell me we are going to be good next year, but they said the same think after Blake Griffin knocked us out two years ago. There are no guarantees, and I felt like we had ligting in a bottle with this team.

It was not to be, and I am feeling no "moral vivtory" today...just sad that we did not win against the team that is the most fun to beat.

Great, Stole another MAC recruit.

Give me Jake Fisher and Darian Cooper and then I will get excited about this class.

Everyone is on the Brady Hoke train getting all excited about mediocre talent.

Don't get me wrong, I am excited about the new direction of the program and I'm glad we made the switch...got the right guy, all of that. However, we are talking about middle of the road guys like they are 5 stars that we stole from our rival teams!

Like I said, give me Jake Fisher and Darian Cooper,  along with Clark and Willingham.   and I will be more imressed.

I would like to invent a new

I would like to invent a new stat for this unique situation. High flying O, really bad D. Makes the TOP stats obsolete, correct? So this is the "Expected points per game vs. opponents D" Ave. points per posession/(opponents points against defense/strength of schedule). This will predict how many points the offense will score, while taking into account the difficulty of schedule of the opposing D. I don't have time to crunch the numbers, but I bet it woud give a better idea of who wins the game.

CORRECT

The transfer year is counted toward eligibility. If the player has not burned the redshirt they ARE allowed to use it that year. So if a player transfers after their true freshman year. They sit out (use the redshirt) and still have 3 years eligibility left.

Scholy's left

I'm sure my numbers are not exactly correct, but the general idea is that RR has spent  a lot of scholly's over the past two years becasue of all the spots left open by the Mallet's and Boren's, etc.... So his first two real classes have been huge. The 2011 class was supposed to be 17 kids, but with all of the transfers he will be able to go after 24-25 kids, which is a normal, to big , class.

I have to say it, and it's just a conspiracy theory, but what if he's loading up, figuring out which guys fit, then dumping the guys that don't look like they are making the cut. He gets a real good look at 28-29 kids, but he knows only 22 or so will make it. That way he gets a better talent pool without having to give up the scholly's....I could see this being a short term goal, but it will not work long term. Of course, he only needs it to work for the first 3 or so classes.

Love it!

Love the touchdown Jesus pic! I saw the same pic earlier this week that was photoshopped. It had D Rob's head, instead of Jesus, and D-Jesus was holding a GO on the left side, and a  blue on the right side. Hilarious!
