Can someone please explain to me why John Harbaugh would be wise? Is there any evidence that suggests he would be a better coach at the college level than other, more likely candidates?
1. JIM HARBAUGH
3. Mark Stoops
4. Tom Herman

Bacon has reported many times that other coaches around the country find that practice to be absurd, and at least one premier coach told Bacon they would never coach at a place where the AD does that.

Kind of a dick move by Brandon parking his car that close to the driver's door. You know Hoke isn't squeezing in there.

No it doesn't, but I don't think there is any question about the level of competence of the MSU coaching staff. They have been one of the best teams in the conference the past few years and they are doing that with predominantly 3 star talent.

I think the hit rate on Klingon jokes would be quite high in this crowd. It probably is missed by a lot of people, but Brian has a ton of Star Trek references in his posts.

Am I missing some kind of inside joke where Kalis is referred to as Kali's or do people feel compelled to add the apostraphe in there in some sort of an attempt to make him a klingon folk hero?
It pops up so frequently and it has left me confuzzled.

Not sure if you have Skyrim on PC but if so then it's well worth the time to mod the game. The graphics/textures/UI mods in particular turn an already great game into a vastly improved one.

The fireworks alone don't really upset me, but it seems like every little (or not-so-little) step we take in the direction of WOW, it's a step away from what we have traditionally been about.
It's like that analogy where you slowly boil a frog or something.

Two words, dude: Star Citizen. Also SteamBox and related efforts.
With the consoles having made the transitions to what are essentially PCs, I think the PC is likely to regain its primacy in terms of platform in the medium term.

This is mostly because the PS3 architecture was significantly different (and as I understand it, notoriously more difficult to code for) than the 360. This generation, the XB1 and PS4 are virtually identical in architecture. Last generation was like comparing apples to oranges in many ways; this generation it's apples to apples and the PS4 is clearly the superior machine.
|21 weeks 3 days ago||PS4||
I really struggled with this, having owned the original Xbox and then the 360 for over a decade. I really liked those systems and was a fan of Xbox Live. I ultimately decided on the PS4 because I feel like Microsoft abandoned the core gaming audience for a more casual entertainment approach, and the lack of performance from a graphics and framerate standpoint is substantial.
There are fewer and fewer exclusives, and I think Sony wins out here too. I was a die hard Halo fan but the franchise has gotten stale. Since I own a PC that is a superior system to either, I can get any game I really want between that and a PS4. Plus I hated not having a good baseball game to play, so it's been nice having MLB The Show for a change.

I think the issue is that we are talking about football coaches here. In the grand scheme of things - particularly related to education - these guys aren't really all that important. To name positions in the athletic department (AD, head coach, coordinator) after donors kind of elevates their jobs to something that they really aren't.
At least when people contribute money to build an academic building or create a scholarship they are doing something that creates public good and should be recognized as such. Donating money to an athletic department, while good for us Michigan fans, probably isn't an obvious public service.

There may be some relatively small versions of what happens down in the SEC around here, but many of the driving factors that enable such a pervasive culture of corruption as described in this article don't exist in the big ten footprint.
If the B1G schools played this game I'd think that we'd see a lot more players from the south coming north, as well as a much better overall W-L record on the field. The current state of the conference suggests to me most B1G schools are not playing this game.

Seems like every other game at this point the other team has had a guy on fire/having a career game against us. Yogi, Marble, now Kaminski. This isn't a coincidence - this team just isn't very good defensively.
Combine that with poor shooting, carelessness on offense, and not showing up the first half...well there you go. Hopefully we can get things turned around come tournament time, but who knows.
|38 weeks 6 days ago||If you go down the line of||
If you go down the line of matchups, I think the margin is pretty small.
Burke > Walton - this is the biggest mismatch in my opinion
THJ > LeVert - THJ wasn't always "on," so it's feasible that LeVert could outplay him on a given day
`13 Stauskas < `14 Stauskas - This is a huge mismatch. Stauskas of this year would destroy Stauskas of yesteryear.
`13 GR3 < `14 GR3 - While he is periodically absent, there's no question this year's version is better.
McGary > Horgan - This would be a pretty significant mismatch for most anyone, but I think Horgan could hold their own against Mitch on most days.
Frankly I'd give the game to whichever team was playing at home. Not sure last year's team would be able to come out of a hostile 2014 Crisler environment with a win.

I use it almost exclusively as a means to stay aware of current events and to make sure that I don't miss content on sites I follow. But I guess staying informed in real time and ensuring I'm never bored on the Internet has no objective value.
You don't have to tweet with your twitter account and you're not forced to follow any account you deem unworthy. Perhaps the twitter bubble you created for yourself was composed mostly of petty morons.
