9 weeks 4 days ago | Agree with much of the post |
Agree with much of the post but don't think it's fair to dismiss his tenure at Alabama as insignificant. He was OC under Saban while they were still at the early stages of building into an army of terror robots. Lasting as a coordinator under Saban for 4 years is also no small feat. He's definitely a weird dude, but I think he can help the offense. |

Meant to comment on your moving piece from Tuesday, but failed to. Next time you visualize all your supporters around you, please be sure to count me among that bunch. You're an inspiration, my dude. |

You can't image someone who: (1) smeared a player's blood on his face at Stanford; (2) prepares his quarterbacks pregame by beating them in the shoulderpads and helmet; (3) has shown he will "win with cruelty" against rivals/opponents who take shots at him (running it up on Pete Carroll, going for 2 at Rutgers up big); and (4) once broke an overhead projector banging on it with his fist screaming "I MUST WIN" at a coaching clinic giving a rallying speech in a locker room to his team? |

Small, important change. I prefer, "they both could have gone to State." I don't know many M alums that bothered applying to MSU. I sure didn't. |

As a Miami fan, I can confidently say Odugwu will make a ton of fans' favorite player list if he comes to Michigan, even if he never plays a down for the maize and blue. Great story, even better kid. |
1 year 16 weeks ago | I love people who get upset |
I love people who get upset that Harbaugh didn't meet expectations this year, as if those expectations weren't about 80% based on him doubling the team's win total the year prior. If Michigan wins 8 games in 2015, very few people would express much disappointment with 10 wins this year. |

All I can think watching this video is that I'm so much happier with a weird guy who wins games and values competition over all else than a lovable teddy bear who refuses to fire an incompetent offensive line coach because they are friends. Sent from MGoBlog HD for iPhone & iPad |
2 years 26 weeks ago | Nope. They did not celebrate |
Nope. They did not celebrate there because that's where the play occurred, or to check on anyone. The whole team came and celebrated in the south end zone with visiting parents for a good 5 minutes. Then Connor Cook hoisted Paul Bunyan above his shoulders and skipped down Michigan's sideline by himself to the student section and was then followed by teammates. |

I want to say that either Durkin, Mattison or a DL player said in an interview that they're having them learn to play several spots on the line for flexibility and depth. |

As a Miami fan, was sad to see Fisch go as OC to Jags. Stephen Morris flourished under him and the Canes had a very efficient offense the year before he was plucked by Jacksonville. Big, big fan. |

Why is the satisfaction of fans a justification for depriving kids earning money for others from being compensated? |
3 years 39 weeks ago | I don't understand what the |
I don't understand what the concern is with having a minor league football team loosely associated with a university. Is it what everyone is used to? No. Does it seem like a weird concept based on the current system? Sure. I just don't understand what's so noble or great about amateurism. It's a concept that, at least according to some accounts, was invented to allow the wealthy who attended universities to continue playing sports they enjoyed by eliminating the ability of professionals to play in their stead. In every other aspect of our society we encourage people to get paid for things they are good at. I have yet to see a reasonable justification for amateurism. Most are something related to: (1) maintenance of the status quo, (2) because people who watch college football like it, or (3) compensating students means they can't be students (or good students). And yes, I do think it is greedy and unreasonable to say "I should get what the market says I should get, but people who could detract from the labor budget from which I am paid should get their compensation set by a cartel." |

I hate Urban as much as the next guy, but based on what I've read he's doing this because he needs a lineman, not to screw with Michigan. This is a good thing - OSU's line has depth issues too. |

The sad part is that there's recruits and parents who he's able to convince that he's just a wholesome, swell guy. I bet he says "aw, shucks" on every visit he goes on. |

Now I wonder if Magnuson were healthy right now, who would be on the right side, Dawson or Braden? Have to think that you would have the 2nd team guy take reps at left so the starter can focus solely on the position he'll most likely play, but who knows. |

4 years 24 weeks ago | I don't think that's quite |
I don't think that's quite the design of the blitz in the second play - the linebacker is gunning for Gardner with little to no regard for Toussaint (I admit it's possiblebthe chip Funchess gets on him may influence his decision of who to try to tackle). This play is really blown up because that safety comes screaming down to the line of scrimmage with reckless abandon. If Funchess realizes blocking that linebacker is futile (I doubt he's allowed the decision) and blocks that safety, this is 6. Or, if that safety is a step later because he actually waits to read the give and respects play action, Toussaint has him one on one with space to make him miss. |

Front seven looked very good. Gardner a little bit concerning given the opponent, but I think he'll figure it out. Still like Smith better than Green at this point. Stribling is a huge coup. |
