i would find this more credible if it was about Tom Crean

- The SEC -- Missouri and South Carolina are both in towns named Columbia

- The SEC -- Auburn in Auburn, AL
- Iowa, in Iowa City, IA
- The Big Ten has 7 -- 6 "traditional" names and one hyphenated name: Ann Arbor, College Park, East Lansing, State College, West Lafayette, Iowa City, and Urbana-Champaign -- EDIT: add New Brunswick to make 8

A trusted poster on Rivals (bluevod) has made some cryptic posts the past few days that indicate good things are on their way regarding the basketball program. No specifics given but I'm feeling the good vibrations.
|1 day 4 min ago||In other coaching news||
Chris Mullin has agreed to become the new head coach of St. John's, his alma mater. It's quite a leap as while he's been a front office guy for the Warriors and Kings. he has no coaching experience.
I'm trying to think of another coach with no prior experience that jumped into a "major" conference job like this and am coming up blank.
|1 day 1 hour ago||Rumored names||
Gregg Marshall and (surprise!) Shaka Smart are the two names being mentioned the most, although Alabama is apparently going after Marshall pretty hard. From this Dallas Morning News article, other potential names include Larry Krystkowiak of Utah, Chris Mack of Xavier, and even Jay Wright of Villanova (doubtful on that one). Pertinent section here:
|1 day 14 hours ago||Exactly||
Exactly this. Maybe Tennessee targeted Barnes because as an established, successful coach he isn't going to be bothered about Not Being Bruce Pearl, unlike Cuonzo Martin who clearly wasn't comfortable being in Pearl's shadow.

Tennessee fans are still in love with Bruce Pearl. That job is going to be a tough one for a while.

Balas mentioned on the Fort that he didn't get the same vibe as what had been reported elsewhere and this free article sums up Rivals' feelings pretty well. Pertinent quote:

FWIW, Rivals does not share the optimism regarding Jaylen Brown.

I can't speak specifically but on the whole Indiana is not known for its high school football.

I literally cannot help but smile when I see Denard's smile. And Devin is no slouch himself in that regard. Couple of great ambassadors for the U and overall wonderful people right there.

Currently drinking their chocolate chipotle stout, called Hot Spring. If you like some heat then you may enjoy this beer. I'll probably finish off with their rye, called Riverbend Rye, which IMO holds up pretty well compared to Founders Red's Rye.
|1 week 12 hours ago||it's in Eastown on Lake near Wealthy||
I've been there a few times and haven't been overly impressed. The IPA was decent but overall I was underwhelmed with their lineup. The smokey porter literally tastes like you are drinking smoke.
|1 week 18 hours ago||yeah, it was Utah||
One of Devin's INTs was a pass over the middle that Funchess half-heartedly reached for, only to have the ball richochet off his hand and directly to a Utah defender.
|1 week 23 hours ago||It would be a pretty major||
It would be a pretty major shock if Jaylen Brown came to Michigan. On the other hand the chatter continues to make it sound like Caris is coming back, which would be monumental.

User cobra14 made a dickish comment, one that can only be seen on the app, so it appears that the other replies are responding to Landry, which is not the case.
Enjoy talking to yourself, cobra.

Looks that way. Sounds like we will find out very soon if IT'S HAPPENING.
EDIT: Or not, per the above post.

They're #18 on Kenpom which would be a 5-seed, and Bracket Matrix has them as the last #4 right now. If they lose to UVA (not crazy) and bow out somewhat early in the ACC Tournament (also not crazy) then I think it's a real possibility.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||IMO, they won't make it to||
IMO, they won't make it to the second weekend. They're in that 7-10 seed range and I don't see them beating a 1 or a 2 aside from maybe Nova or Gonzaga (if they get a 2).
As much as I despise Calipari, it would be hilarious to watch Kentucky put a beatdown on Izzo.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Louisville?||
I don't see it. They have no wins of value in the four games that Jones has missed. They seem ripe for a 5/12 upset.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Also, the refs missed McIntosh||
Also, the refs missed McIntosh bear-hugging MAAR on that fateful inbounds. Oh well.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||He'll be fine||
He's a playmaker, after all.
|4 weeks 8 hours ago||Edit||
Apparently the inbounds call was correct not to be called. My mistake.
|4 weeks 8 hours ago||Game ball to the zebras.||
Referees missed the blatant inbounding infraction on Northwestern in the first OT as well as a bear hug of Rahk by McIntosh on the inbounds that was ruled out on Zak. Two awful misses that most likely would have sealed the game for Michigan in each instance.
That said, fuck you, Tre Demps. Fuck you.

I came to this party late so all the correct answers have probably already been given. However, I promise I took the time to answer each one before I moved on to the comments.
EDIT: I didn't realize that the official mailing address of Rutgers was New Brunswick. I always thought it was Piscataway. So make that eight Big Ten schools with cities with two names.
