|1 hour 48 min ago||You've made the point several||
You've made the point several times in different threads that you think people like me are somehow "happy" that things arent going well and for the life of me I dont understand why you think that. The fact that we are pissed off over shitty play, a crappy schedule and insane pricing doesnt make us happy in the least. It just means we've chosen a different path and are now electing to not purchase season tickets. I have yet to see even one person post that they are giving up on the team or the school - rather they are giving up on SEASON TICKETS and supporting Michigan does not madate one be a season ticket holder.
Can you point to any comment made by anybody that shows even a glimmer of joy about the state we are in? Remember, to give up one's season tickets one had to be buying them in the first place. Not exactly something a person would do if they didnt care deeply about the program. I think you are confusing the emotion over here. Cause as I read it - the ex-season ticket holders are anything but happy over the state of affairs right now.

What makes you think Devin needs a fire lit under his ass? Is he not working hard enough for your tastes?
I find this whole thing ridiculous and unneccesary. I don't remember any Senior QB who wasnt the defacto starter in Spring. I may be wrong but do any of the other old-timers remember Bo declaring that Franklin, Leach, Wangler, Smith, Harbaugh or Taylor "might" start their Senior year? The only one of these that I recall was the Brady/Henson QB time share and that wasn't under Bo's watch.
It might be simply "coach-speak" but if I was Devin I'd be pretty pissed unless Morris is just playing lights out and killing it in practice. Cause nothing I saw in the Copper Bowl or Spring Game would indicate there's even a shred of doubt who's the better QB.

Speaking forone of the group you hope to laugh at I can honestly say I 100% hope you get that chance. Nothing would please me more as an alum to have this team kick ass and go undefeated this year. I would be thrilled beyond belief to have the stands full to capacity and the long waiting list ofr season tickets restored due to the excellent product coach Hoke and company put on the field in 2014.
Here's to your wish coming true.
|20 hours 50 min ago||Same here. They are really||
Same here. They are really good at mass marketing but they SUCK at responding to individual customer complaints. I sent two personal emails threatening to cancel and a blistering season ticket survey and got zilch in return.
|21 hours 14 min ago||Not sure when you were there||
Not sure when you were there but my guess is they also largely WON most of their games, challenged for if not won, the B1G at least once if not twice and you got to see a Rose Bowl if you were so inclined. My years (78-81) witnessed AC, two Rose Bowls (Bo's first win) and Ricky Leach as a Senior. Not too bad.
Not so for this batch of students. They get a big, heaping pile of mediocrity to enjoy. Not quite the same experience if you ask me.
|21 hours 46 min ago||Same here. And what I still||
Same here. And what I still find utterly amazing to this day is that even after I wrote two emails to Brandon and sent in a fairly scathing "Season Ticket Holder Survey" response last year I have recieved zero communication back from the Athletic Department other than these canned emails. And I was a season ticket holder in Section two, with four tickets, who contributed to the Athletic Department, and held those tickets for almost 25 years and I went to the last two bowl games.
Talk all you want about Brandon's supposed marketing savy - to me he is utterly clueless on actually listening (and responding) to his customer. I can only assume that if my level of financial contribution wasn't worth trying to save they must be VERY confident in their ability to replace fans like me and you.

If they play it on Jimmy's radio station I do. If not then no. I'm pretty much locked into his station, the 80's, Classic Rewind & Vinyl and some early to mid 90's club music and early stage alternative.
The only time I hear any music recorded recently is when I switch cars with my wife and listen to whatever she has on.

Preach it brother...preach and boat...most definitely boat.
I got XM radio in mine for the express purpose of listening to "Margariitaville Radio" which is not pure Buffett but is about 50% Jimmy and 50% Jimmy-like music. There is almost nothing as relaxing and good-mood inducing as being on the water, with a cold beer on a hot day, listening to Jimmy.
Is summer here yet? Jesus I'm tired of winter.
|2 days 22 hours ago||Go back and read what i||
Go back and read what i originally wrote. I said I "wondered" how much of the offense was directed by Hoke.
My central point is that Funk = Gibson and it's Hoke's instance on keeping his friends employed (just like Rich did) that may lead to eventual undoing. My concern is that Nuss, like Robinson before him, has been shackled to a support staff he did not choose and that does not report to him, but rather the HC. I am tring to reconcile how we get substantive change in performace with the same people leading the same position groups as last year with the exception of Nuss.
That is the core of my concern. Not Hoke's involvement in play-calling or game planning for the offense.
|2 days 22 hours ago||"A hater." I started to get||
I started to get offended but then I thought about it for a minute and you're absolutely right. I HATE losing 11 out of our last 26 games. I HATE leading the country in plays for negative yardage. I HATE that our offense is classified as "shitty" and that we don't seem able to block anything. I HATE that we have never made it to the B1G Championship game. I HATE that in year four of Hoke's regime we seem to going backwards fast and I HATE the thought of yet another regime change and what that'll mean to our program.
But mostly I HATE that my alma matter, the school I love and have supported for the better part of my 54 years on the planet is now nothing more than just another middle of the road team in a crappy conference that gets its ass kicked regularly by both Ohio State & MSU - something that never EVER happened in my lifetime before.
So if that makes me a "hater".....guilty as charged.
|2 days 23 hours ago||Funk and the balance of the||
Funk and the balance of the offensive staff from last year are all still employed. You think that they were Nuss's choice or Hoke's?
I would classify that as tangible evidence.
|2 days 23 hours ago||You sort of asked the||
You sort of asked the question "was Borges ordered to run the offense he ran last year" in the post. I've wondered that too myself. And what I really wonder is what effect will the lack of changes in the balance of the offensive staff have on Nuss's results?
I cant help it but everytime I think about our offense next year I see Nuss 2014 as Robinson 2009 with Funk playing the role of Gibson. A long-time close friend of the HC who cant coach his position group worth a damn and sinks the coordinator and the team with his lack of ability.
FWIW Greg Robinson remembered how to coach defense at Texas this year when the HC left him alone. Imagine that.

To be fair though they WERE announcing they are leaving school so maybe the Athletic Department no longer considereds them one of their own.

You're doing a pretty good job of keeping in character Batman but the best...the absolute BEST was the brief, but brilliant posting career of Terrelle Pryor. That guy was absolutely spot on and funny as Hell.
Never thought I'd say these words but I miss internet Terrelle Pryor.
|3 days 23 hours ago||I find it a bit ironic that||
I find it a bit ironic that on the day our basketball team will (probably) lose two prominent starters (40% of the line-up) to the NBA I am filled with nothing but confidence for the future because I believe we have the single best coach in the NCAA on our sidelines. I have supreme faith in his abilitiies to find and recruit the right players, to get the very most out of them he can through his coaching and put a system in place that maximizes the talents of the players he has - not a system he's comfortable in running. Lose two star players? No big deal - next man up!
Contrast that with the football team where I have almost zero confidence in the HC to do any of those things other than recruit. When I read that article by White I was laughing to myself thinking "I sure hope all the Borges apologists see this" cause he nailed it. And the question that I kept asking is how in the hell did Hoke allow this to happen? I guess in some ways it's validating to know you arent the only one who thought our offense last year was run by a crazy person but it sure doesnt make me feel any bettter about what's coming this fall.

|4 days 14 hours ago||Would it though? If I||
Would it though? If I remember last year's bitch-a-thon about the offense correctly I was told that organizationally Funk doesnt report to the OC - he reports to Hoke. So while he'd be playing in Nuss's offense, he'd be coached by Funk.
And I'm not entirely sure that's as thrilling for a top-shelf player as we'd like it to be.
