To this day my brother blames me for the 88 Miami loss. I got as wasted as I've ever been that game (I think i smuggled in a pint of wiskey and tried to finish it) and somewhere around the 3rd quarter I spilled nachos on myself and made a huge mess in the stands. On the way out I fell down the slope off stadium where it crossed the RR tracks and damn near killed myself. Thankfully he drove us home and I spent the night at his house in Commerce Lake and didnt try and drive back to Cleveland.
The next morning I woke up and sincerely thought we had won the game as the last thing I remembered was being up 30 to something and Miami looking terrible. He had to show me a newspaper before I believed him we had somehow lost that game and he was convinced that if hadnt been for my drunken hijinks Michigan would've somehow won.

And i sincerely hope that each and every person does as you guys have done and re-ups. A full stadium is not only more fun, it helps the team so make no mistake - it would make me very happy to learn I'm a severe outlier and representative of something larger.
But I just find this offer odd if there's a surplus of demand. I know in the 27 years I had season tickets (2 on the 30 - 4 on the 20) I never got an offer like this nor did I ever hear of anyone getting this opportunity.

I think that makes you and me cousins or something.

I wondered about this. I've got to believe that there are a lot of people like me who, as excited as I am about Harbaugh coming back, have gotten out of the habit of going to games and have replaced that time with other activities. I discovered last year that my couch, TV and nearby refrigerator make a fairly adequate substitue for the gameday experience and I really dont see myself rushing to go back to the Big House anytime soon.
I really wonder just how much permanent damage Brandon did to the fanbase. I'm just a 55 year old out-of-towner who's best attending days are behind me. But we've got entire student bodies that didnt embrace going to games while they were at school - how in the hell are they going be compelled to attend now that they're gone?

Here’s another little known fact. Posters with the name Kehnonymous are almost always lying, cheating, sweaty, unattractive LOSERS who hang out in their mom’s basement and don’t own billion dollar home loan companies like successful guys like me. I vow to the readers of this blog that my Cavs will win not one, not two, not three, not four, not five but SIX championships before the Lakers even sniff a playoff berth again.
ps: This stupid blog over-rode my comic sans script i chose especially for this post and reverted it to a BORING New Times Roman.

Here's a fun fact. I actually went to grade school with Madonna or as she was known then, Madonna Ciccone. She was in Mr Whited class and I was in Miss Martin's class at good, old Webster Elementary on Huron St in lovely Pontiac, Michigan. We both lived in Indian Village ( I grew up on Ottawa Dr and she lived off Chippewa I think) and my mom was somewhat friends with her mom.

Oh thank GOD a new clothing thread. Finally we get a chance to discuss Nike V Adidas, the relative merits of Under Armor and how the rest of the shoe industry is faring. I mean it seems like it's been hours since we've had a fresh take on this issue and lord knows I cant go that long without getting the vapors.

Good thinking. If I see them at the game I'll make sure to let Elvis Grbac, Desmond Howard, John Kolesar, Charles Woodson, Andy Cannavino, Ed Muransky, Kyle Kalis, Ben Gedeon and all the rest of the OSU lovers from this area know how much you want them to suffer.

Cavs in 7. And I'll be at all the games in C-town screaming my head off hoping to end this 50 year curse. We will win by controlling the glass and keeping Curry & Co to one shot-just like we did to Atlanta. And our new physical style of play (side benefit of losing Love and inserting TT into the starting line-up) matches up well with the Warriors. I do agree that Kyrie's health is the X factor and I he can't go we're in trouble.

Happened to me too. "Dad" started negotiating on behalf of his son about 2/3 of the way into the process. Needless-to-say that represented the end of the negotiations on my end and I was happy to inform both dad & his son that I had zero point zero interest in hiring anybody that wanted me to speak to his father on his behalf.
I thought I was the outlier. Good to know there are other insane parents besides the one I had to deal with. Or maybe it was the same guy......

You're fine. I live just south of Cleveland and have a Michigan Alumni Association sticker on my car along with a MGoBlue licence plate frame and have never had any problems other than a few "Michigan sucks" drive-by shoutings.
Now if your plates were something like OSUSUCKS then you might have something to worry about it.

That was my thinking as well. If I make an offer to someone leaving a job I know they liked and their salary requirements are that I cant meet I would likewise be very concerned they would only be with us until a better payiing job came along.

I'm confused. If we kicked the B1G ass how is it we're only ranked 8th in the conference in the Director's Cup and only 18th nationally in the most recent update?

Given that they are silent wouldn't every 4* that isn't currently committed to Michigan in 2016 fit the bill?

If you're referrng to the impending break-up of Edward Aschoff (author of article) and his employment by ESPN then yes, probably so.
My guess is his copy editor is being written up by ESPN HR for gross violations of written company policy as we speak.

Lyndon Johnson was President, the Pontiac GTO had just been introduced and gas was around .20/galIon. I was five years old & 99% of the board hadnt been born yet the last time a team from Cleveland won a championship so no, I'm not talking shit to anybody.
|1 day 22 hours ago||Lions marketing||
I've had an idea for years that I cant believe the Lions havent tried out yet. Here in Cleveland we have the Dawg Pound where the rowdiest, loudest and most obnoxious fans sit. During games fans where dog costumes, bark and it's not uncommon for them to throw dog biscuits on the field
The Lions should try something similar and rebrand their endzone seating as "The Litter Box" and encourage fans to dress up like cats. Fans could meow when the opposing team gets close to the endzone, purr after every Lions TD and throw cat toys on the field when things get tough. I'm telling you "The Litter Box" would instantly become a national thing.

No, nothing needs to be "fixed". I think Brian, Seth & Company's hatred* of all things Canadian (especially what you guys did to bacon and pronouncing the letter Z as Zed) is well documented so your experience is not the least bit surprising.
*Except hockey - they do seem to like that a bit.

Not TL & DID read! As a matter of fact I wish you'd expand this into a diary - it's real good and a hell of a lot easier for me to digest & understand than the statistical analysis.

Good fucking LORD is Bernie's form horrible on that throw. Feet close together, and somehow managed to throw of the wrong foot resulting in a flutter-ball that my nine year old daughter could throw harder.
But for the record - that guy - pisspoor form and all - was the LAST decent QB my beloved Browns have had under center.
|1 week 1 day ago||As much as I like the Wings||
As much as I like the Wings if Babs had to go anywhere I'm glad it was the Leafs. Toronto is such a good city for hockey and they've had nothing but a seemingly unending run of bad management & bad coaches they deserve this.
Lets be honest here. I'm a Browns & Cavs fan so there arent many fans of teams out there that can truly empathize with my pain. And any Leafs fan younger than about 65 definitely knows just how I feel.

Jorts, cookies, wiping, colas are all in the category I was thinking of. This one is most definitely NOT in that category Sadeto so my comment wasnt directed at your post. This is connected to Michigan football. Directly connected.

I have written, deleted, written and then deleted again posts that would surely cross the line both politically & religiously (something I've been able to avoid for almost five years) so I'll just leave it with "good job Jim" and go on my merry way.
So when's the next random OT post scheduled to go up?

No need - I'm just as sick of the OT threads as everybody else right now so good that you took it down. I was just sad cause it was the first one where I actually had something of value to contribute.
|1 week 2 days ago||Just so you know......||
It's almost 100% hereditary
Back in the 80's when Pepsi was conducting the "Pepsi Challenge" to see what flavor people preferred a study was done on cola preferences and how and when they were made. According to this study (which I cant find a link to right now) a person's preference for either Coke or Pepsi was almost exclusively made by the brand their parents drank and people almost never switched. They argued that advertising for either brand was largely a waste of money as customers almost never, ever switched brands regardless of price or percieved taste differences.
The study said people were far more likely to switch religions or political party affiliation from that of their parents than their cola choice!
I've had this factoid locked in my brain for years with no real opportunity to share it and then, when my big opportunity appears, YOU CAVE THE THREAD!
