Starting going to games in the early 70's when my brother was in dental school. Went to all games between 78-81 when in school and then again from 1987 to 2013 when I had season tickets so I guess the exact number would be a shit-ton.
Or maybe a fuckload. Not sure exactly because I have to substract some bowl games we lost that I went to.

I'll turn into WD for a day if they actually do bring these back. I've been wanting to see them again for a long, long time.

Fastest Car 1/4 mile: 1965 GTO
That car had a 389, tri-power, 4 speed and a 4:11 rear end. I had to shift out of first at 28 MPH and the top end was only about 100 or so but man oh man did we get there in a hurry. My 4 year old daughter at the time didnt like to ride in it because when I shifted "her neck got hurt" from the car sitting down and then exploding forward. And if you've never hear the sound of full throat Poncho tri-power you havent really lived.
Fastest Car Top End: 2009 Cadillac CTS-V
Offically listed at 580 HP but rumors said GM purposively under rated the HP as dino tests showed it well over 600 which is legitimately insane for a sedan. The car was supercharged (no spooling lag when you stomped it) and the power band was in the 50-130MPH range. I loved when dudes driving their hemi Challengers rolled up and wanted a go. All they saw was the tail lense of that Caddy as you literally had to hold on to something as it accelerated past 100. I think Car & Driver claimed the car could bump 200 MPH but my balls werent big enough to see that number. Fastest I got the car up to was 150 and my toes still curl thinking about that ride.
Slowest Car: My wife's 2012 Mazda CX5
No power whatsover at any speed and in any circumstance. And the whine of the 4 banger when you floor it can only be described as annoying. To make matters worse she has personal tags "JillJoy" (her name) and a big "Inshapemom.com" sticker across the back window. I can tell you that when I have to drive it the looks I get from dudes passing me are priceless. You can see the dissapointment (and subsequent laughter) when they realize it's a guy driving the car and not a chick.

I noticed Michigan was playing a team wearing red and white called "Wisc" that was a big W on their helmets.

Common....who among us can honestly say they haven't set fire to a family members garage because they wouldn't have sex with us?

York comparing Tomsula (who just might be the dumbest person I have ever had the pleasure of watching being interviewed) to Steve Kerr (who might be one of the brighest minds in the NBA) is nothing short of hilarious.

Lots of hype - lots of flash but sadly, not much in the way of production. Seemed like a good dude, I join others in wishing him well

Cause I grew up in Pontiac. Actually I forgot the Lions-they would be ahead off the Wings on my list and right behind the Browns. Lived here in Ohio since 87 but I'm I Michigander at heart.

As one of the more vocal "why are they doing this shit again" posters re Draftegeddon I can say that BiSB's explanation of the concept makes me look at it completely differently and now I actually kinda enjoyed it.
Previously I looked at it as I would a fantasy football draft (the title of the piece sort of makes you think that) and it made zero sense to me. Why would anybody be picking offensive & defensive lineman for God's sake?
Now it's just a B1G players preview with snark!

I read the article and thought his analysis was bang-on. Care to share which part of it you took issue with?
Look the message is painful but true. Our OL SUCKED two years ago and got a little better last year but still has a long way to go. And I dont care if the author of that statement is the corpse of Woody Hayes himself - it's sadly true.

So Henne makes the list but no Robinson or Grbac? And A-Train but no Rob Lytle?
Sorry shitty list.
And the price values dont make much sense either.

You caught me/us. Now you have to figure out if I/we are actually a Buckeye posing as an aging Michigan alum or a Michigan man from the 70's posing as a rational OSU fan.
Consider your mind blown.
And why should RDT have all the fun?

I join others in wishing you and more importantly your dad a full and speedy recovery.
Side note - I dont envy the mods or Brian in deciding how to handle these types of posts. On one hand you want to help people who need help but on the other when you leave them up (like the one posted earlier today) you tend to get a surge of these type of requests very quickly and candidly have no way of knowing if they are legit or not.
I guess that's why they pay the mods the big bucks.
|6 days 5 sec ago||FWIW I know one of Gedeon's||
FWIW I know one of Gedeon's HS coaches real well and he told me that if Hoke had stayed - Gedeon was gone. He said last year he had no idea when he'd play or why he'd get pulled. He said there was seemingly no logic to the substitution patterns and (according to Gedeon's coach)at the end of the season he was about as down as he could be.
I know this will come as a complete shocker but he also said that the level of actual coaching under Harbaugh is unbelievably different/better than under Hoke. A data point of one but I'm optimistic.

FYU - Oregon, Ohio Moe - it's a Toledo suburb not far from Pt Clinton.
Just to clear on my point. I said GENERALLY SPEAKING the OSU alums arent nearly as bad down here as the people who never attended any college, much less OSU. GENERALLY SPEAKING the troublemakers are people with little to no education past high school and have no affiliation with Ohio State whatsoever.
Generally speaking that is.
|6 days 2 hours ago||Not surpised||
I spend most of my summers in the Port Clinton/PiB area (have cottage on Middle Bass Island) and ride the Miler Ferry to MBI every weekend. I can tell you I've stopped wearing most of my Michigan gear on the ride due to the sheer number of drunken assholes I encounter who want nothing more than to get me to react.
One comeback I've learned is very effective when hassled by this jerks is to simply look at them and say "I graduated from Michigan in 1981. What year did you graduate from Ohio State?" I've found that 0.00% of the troublemakers could even find Columbus on the map - much less attend classes there so they shut up pretty fast at that point.
It's the drunken idiots (like my wife's brother) who have never stepped foot on campus who are the worst. Generally speaking the OSU alums arent that bad at all.

|1 week 17 min ago||Am I the only one that hates||
Am I the only one that hates previews that dont come with a prediction? Seems like the whole point of a preview (to me anyways) is to give the reader an idea of what the writer thinks is going to happen and why. And then at the end they need to make their call as to the final score so I can agree (if they're picking Michigan) or think they are biased idiots (if they pick someone else).
Is that so much to ask?

Pontiac is to the Aztek
McDonalds is to McPizza
Coke is to the New Coke
Apple is to the IWatch
Ford is to the Edsel
But hey I got to tip my hat to you guys for having the balls to stick with it when those other pussy company's dumped the products consumers hated after only a few years.

That's because you were a Ford guy and not a Poncho man like me. The 1974 Pontiac Trans Am SD kicked ASS.
|1 week 12 hours ago||The Lantry field goal was||
The Lantry field goal was indeed good and the look on his face as the game ended (a classic WTF) tells it all. I watched that game not too long ago and the color man in the booth was none other than Joe Paterno and even was baffled that the refs waived it off as no good.
That was in the old days when the hash marks were very close to the sidelines so kicks came in from an extreme angle and that kick was ungoodly high and coming in at a sharp angle so the refs missed it. But it was good.
Like you said Don - anybody under the age of 50 really doesnt know the pain of Michigan fandom. All many of them have had is misery and it's relatively easy to disengage when the team sucks. Hard to not care when you're 10-1 every year with a legitimate shot to win it all only to fall short time and time again.
Those losses stay with you.
|1 week 13 hours ago||I have four||
1. 1978 Rose Bowl. As Marksur2007 correctly points out - a PAC10 referee somehow misses the fact that the three yard line is NOT the end zone, overrules a BIG10 ref, and gives USC the game 17-10. I literally cried myself to sleep that night.
2. 1987 Rose Bowl. I was there and watched the Jim Harbaugh/Jamie Morris led #4 team in the nation jump out to a 15-0 lead only to let ASU somehow come back and win 22-15. Bo sets a single game record by calling the draw play to Morris 612 straight times once we got the lead. I threatened to shove a pom-pom up an ASU fan's ass after he shook at me walking out of the stadium.
1990 Rose Bowl - Bo's chance to go out a winner is stolen from him one last time by a crooked PAC10 ref who acknowledged after the game he wasnt about to let "that sonofabitch" win his last game with a phantom holding call on a brilliantly executed fake punt. Bo loses his mind, gets a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and USC wins. I've never been so mad at an official in my life. My ex-wife had to leave the house with our four year old cause daddy was saying so many bad words.
1991 Michigan - Michigan State - That is until 9 months later where I again got to witness first hand a game get stolen from Michigan. The very famous Desmond interference/ trip which denied the 2 point conversion and knocked us out of #1. Again, almost got in a fight with a mouthy sparty walking out of the big house.

No one is watching it except you and that is terribly disapointing to the HBO executives who were sort of hoping to get an audiience of greater than one person given the cost of the acting talent they assembled.
