I just realized I buy the book every other year for some reason: 12, 14 and now 16.
Nice work Brian, Seth and the entire team!
|4 days 19 hours ago||Well said Comrade||
About time somebody made the link between sexual assult charges at Baylor and those God-Damn, worthless, money-grubbing CEO sons of bitches who just drink martinis and golf all day while screwing the working man out of his hard-earned pay.

I want to write a book on selling or do consulting work in sales. Twice in the past 10 years I've had jobs working three days a week and it's awesome - would like to get back there again.
And spend my entire summer on the lake - not just weekends.
And still be alive. That's an important one. I'd like to still be living.
|5 days 23 hours ago||Easy question....||
Scarlet & Grey or Green & White obviously.
Can there be any other choices?
Now excuse me while I go set fire to my balls and put out the fire with vinegar & lemon juice.

|6 days 19 hours ago||but they are "like Penn State"||
Substitute young boys for young women and you basically have the same culture. Protect the football team at all costs, allow players and coaches to do whatever they want to whoever they want and blame somebody else when the shit hits the fan.
We Are - Penn State
We Are - Bay-lor

I have heard this a ton over the past several years both here and in the national media and my question is always "how do you know who you're selling to?" Unless you only sell through forums like this one (thereby severely limiting the exposure your tickets have to potential buyers) you have no way of knowing if your selling to an opposing fan or not.
What's sad, IMO, is that many times opposing fan bases value the ticket higher than we do and win the open bids. I dont think it's fair to somebody who paid for tickets to tell them you have to take less money from a Michigan fan than somebody else would offer you.
IMO if you're writing the check to buy the tickets nobody can tell you where you're allowed to sell them if you cant go. And if you post on Stubhub, Flashseats or any other blind ticket portal you have zero ability to know what type of fan is buying them.

But remember - this is also the same group of players that for YEARS was somehow convinced that it was in their best interest to have unfettered rookie contracts even though they reduced the total dollars available to be spent. How nobody in the NFLPA could figure out that giving huge contracts to rookies (basically people not yet in their "club") could possibly benefit themselves (people already in the club) when dollars were limited by a cap was beyond me.
I had a friend who retired in the late 80s from the NFL and I asked him about that once and he just laughed and said players basically do/vote whatever their agents tell them to do and nothing lines the pockets of agents more than unregulated rookie contracts.
If you want evidence that the average IQ of players in the NFL is somewhere short of Mensa there it is.

This isnt an issue of right vs wrong or if the NFL had sufficient evidence to suspend him. The issue is did Godell have the authority to suspend Brady and based on the collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFLPA he did. He was given unfettered powers to be judge, jury and executioner along with being his own appeals court.
There are third world country dictators who wield less power. Blame the NFLPA leadership for being stupid enough to agree to this structure and the players themselves for being stupid enough to ratify it.
|1 week 20 hours ago||The NCAA rule on sleep for assistant coaches||
Like long-haul truckers the NCAA has a minimum number of hours assistant coaches must sleep per week. Pretty sure the Australia trip put us over the limit.
|1 week 21 hours ago||I hope you're right||
Especially since the Cavs had Dahtnay Jones suspended for game 4 of our series for a MUCH lesser offense IMO.
Let's see if the NBA has the "balls" (so to speak) to apply equal punishment for the same crime. I'm betting they won't. They desparately want a Warriors/Cavs rematch.
|1 week 22 hours ago||I actually dont think he did it on purpose||
I cannot stand Draymond Green and as a die-hard Cavs fan would MUCH rather face OKC than the Warriors in the finals BUT I do think he was just "selling the foul" rather than trying to kick Adams in the balls.
|1 week 22 hours ago||Yes he does||
LeBron is 16-4 lifetime against Durant and 7-0 as a Cav. I think he would very much like to play against KD if given the choice.
|1 week 23 hours ago||Just another thought||
How about you get an entire week under your belt champ before giving advice on what topics are board worthy?

I sure as hell dont see 11 wins on that schedule. I would put the absolute house on the under.
|1 week 5 days ago||Speaking of Greg Oden......||
Say hello to Greg Oden as Junior in High School. He's just turned 17 in this picture (allegedly). Now THAT'S some seriously bad lighting......
|1 week 5 days ago||Not entirely true OP||
I follow Kawakami and that's not what he's saying. What happened was they had a bet on Levi stadium opening on time or not and when York won he chose an expensive resturant and brought his wife. He didnt "stick him with the bill" but he did take big liberites in the paying of a bet.
By the way - does anyone else think that the name "The French Laundry" is a bit odd for a high-end resturant?
|1 week 6 days ago||Pontiac!!!!!!!!!||
Which puts me in awkward position now doesnt it? Owned three GTO's: 1970 455 convertible, 1965 389 Tri-power and a 2004. Owned a 69 350 Firebird and a 1997 Trans Am and a 2001 Ram Air Trans Am. Owned a 1979 Bonneville Broughm and my first car was a 1968 4 door Catalina that I put two miles of pinsriping on, air shocks, mag wheels and flipped the air cleaner for that sound of power!
Ahhhhh memories. Now I drive a Chey Silverado, wife drives a Mazda CX-5 and I have a 2008 Yukon Denali with 150k miles as my beater car. I wish they still made Pontiacs.

She was. Well known here in Northern Ohio that Lebron loves his mother Gloria despite his upbringing-not because of it.
|2 weeks 8 hours ago||Hey sorry||
You have no idea how much I want to see the Warriors lose. As much as I Curry annoys me I absolutely HATE Draymond Green.
|2 weeks 8 hours ago||No sense letting facts get in the way of good opinion||
Draymond Green getting to the line 7.8 times per game this post season on 15 shots. Lebron, the guy "getting all the calls" 4.6 on 19 shots.

Suck that warriors. That mouth guard not as tasty anymore huh Steph
|2 weeks 9 hours ago||GO THUNDER!!!!!!||
|2 weeks 9 hours ago||Except he doesnt||
Nice myth but untrue this year. Historically LeBron got to the line 2.4 times in the playoffs for every 5 shot attempts. Which is high but the guy drives so he's taking contact. This year it's down to .06 foul shots per 5 shots which is the lowest it's ever been.
He's getting mauled, smacked on the head and hit hard with no calls. The NBA loves Steph Curry (he's sooooo CUTE) and his absolutely adorable children these days.
|2 weeks 9 hours ago||YES||
I cannot stand Curry. I hate the way he sticks that damn mouthguard out after every shot. I hate the way he showboats and turns up court after shooting. I hate that Draymond Green has a different set of rules than everyone else and is allowed to CONSTANTLY set moving screens to get Curry open looks and I hate that if anyone breathes on him the officials call a flagrant two cause he's the darling child of the NBA.
Yes I'm a Cavs fan.

I'll be in the Q tomorrow night. Can't wait!
|2 weeks 17 hours ago||It wont sell for anywhere near asking IMO but doesnt have to||
The douchey self-serving stuff will all go with DB in my opinion. They're his personal touches to the home and will undoubtably follow him to Ever After (the sequel). And my guess is he got the house taken care of in his relocation package with Toys R Us so if somebody doesnt buy it for close to what he's asking - his new company will at a much lower price.
If he's got that as part of his contract (and most executives do) then starting insanely high is smart. He doesnt have any bottom end concerns over selling it (that's Toys R Us problem) so might as well see if somebody falls in love with it and is willing to overpay.
|2 weeks 19 hours ago||Um...I liked the house||
Obviously I'm in the extreme minority in this thread but I thought it was pretty cool. And as somebody else said - it looks EXACTLY like I pictured Dave Brandon's house to look.
