Happy Easter!

Congratulations buddy

Congratulations buddy,

I'm glad to hear that your first Michigan game was a success.  I still have a picture from my first game and I know how much that means to me.

I'm glad you able to enjoy a win.  Go Blue

Goldfinger

What's amazing about Goldfinger is how well it holds up nearly 50 years later.  While there are many outrageous aspects to the movie the plot itself is extremely timely considering the events of the past 10 years or so.  The idea that someone would try to use crop dusting planes to kill Americans in order to use a dirty nuclear bomb (provided by China in the movie) to ruin the American economy is sadly not as far fetched as it may have seemed initially.

Thank you for the response.

Thank you for the response. I'd always wondered and that seems to make more sense than anything I could figure.

Also, you do great work, really appreciate it.

Does this mean Tom Brady will

Does this mean Tom Brady will reclaim the Orange Bowl record for TD passes in the game with four since Matt Leinart's game (with five TDs) has now been vacated?

Freddie Milons Question

Does anyone know what happened to Freddie Milons?  I seem to remember that they kept talking about him like he could be (would be) a Heisman candidate the following season but obviously it didn't materialize.  He was drafted in the 5th rd of the NFL draft and that was it.  Did he get injured or am I Roger Clemens and misremembering the hype about him?

I believe he used the word

I was there too and believe he used the word "crap" to describe the spread offense.

I was there too and to say

I was there too and to say that Hoke and DB made fun of RR "a lot" is not accurate.  You definitely "over exaggerated" that.

You're proud of your coach

You're proud of your coach for hiding violations from your university?  For acknowledging that he didn't suspend players who were ineligible? Or for signing an NCAA form saying that they were eligible when they weren't?

The whore press? Please don't talk to us about these things. Our local paper investigated whether we practiced too much and exaggerated the actual results to make it look worse than the NCAA determined it was.   Unfortunately we did practice too much and no matter how minor the violation our team has to accept those consequences. Yahoo reported that your players committed violations and your coach knew about it. What about this is inaccurate? Your players committed violations, your coach lied about it (thereby committing another violation) and you will have to accept whatever consequences come your way.

Being mad at the NCAA has nothing to do with it. You reap what you sow. The NCAA didn't make OSU commit violations. OSU brought it upon themselves and Tressel compounded the error(s).

But again, what part of this makes you proud of your coach?

YES. This.

YES. This.

agreed

i wondered that exact same thing

When speaking of his sense of

When speaking of his sense of humor Simmons should've included this:

Mikhail Prokhorov, new owner of the 12-70 Nets, started off with a joke during his news conference in Manhattan: "It is a great pleasure to be here as the new owner of the Nets, the team with the best record in the whole NBA. ... Uh, was I misinformed?"

Just outstanding

well done great job on the app. any chance you can replace the Freep with DetNews or something tho?
That's an awesome pickup, That's an awesome pickup, well done. Does anyone know where I can find an image of that top wolverine logo in the frame (just the wolverine head with the hat)? I've looked online but every time I've seen it it's been printed on a tshirt, not an individual image/logo. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I completely agree. Both I completely agree. Both plays appeared to be the exact same but Miami got the benefit on both calls. The non-goal for Michigan was brutal enough but to think Miami's goal counted under the same circumstances is what's really infuriating
Agreed Crean isn't going anywhere anytime soon. IU folks are well aware of the disaster he walked into and he's got a great track record of success. It may take a little time but they're in good hands under Crean.

that picture is priceless that picture is priceless
You beat me to it. Mich95 you're so on point. It looks pathetic when we rush the floor when we beat the #15 team in the country...when we were #15 to start the season. It says way more by not rushing the floor, it shows we expect to win and that it's not considered a miracle. /rant
avatar it's as if tom brady is forced to play with a joey harrington avatar
"this guy can flat out..." "this guy can flat out..."
Soooo on point. I live in Soooo on point. I live in Colorado and I was just talking to a fellow Michigan buddy out here who agrees that the cider is not close to what it is back in Michigan. It's not even close. I look forward to some Wiard's and doughnuts this weekend back home
With Mike Price as the UTEP With Mike Price as the UTEP coach does this mean that the players ordered every item on the menu and requested each in a to go box?
Plus Plus i'm pretty sure the "flag on the moon" is just a myth. I believe we have a charter plaque for the Alumni Association on there but not a flag. Also, while I don't mind the song it will not pump people up if that's your objective
can we just start calling it can we just start calling it 'Spartanfreude' when used in reference to them? or even Statenfreude? (soft 'a')
haha thanks i'm glad somebody else remembered that
my favorite was something to my favorite was something to the effect of "had Tate broken that one we'd be looking at his armpits...because his arms would be in the air."

I think Rich Rodriguez is the I think Rich Rodriguez is the one who deserves better
Long Beach St 1987 My first game was when I was three years old against Long Beach St. in 1987. We won 49-0 and while I remember nothing from the actual game I do have a picture with my dad on our lawn before the game (with the score written on the back) as documentation. A very nice memento, +1 Mom
Completely agree I feel Bill Martin has done a wonderful job as our AD. I wish we could've gotten rid of Amaker earlier although he more than made up for it with his hire of Beilein. I also wish we could've stayed with Nike but from what I understand adidas offered us way more than they did so financially it made sense. The stadium upgrade looks fantastic and the new practice facility sounds great as well. I am excited that he has already planned a new basketball practice facility so we can compete with other programs in regards to facilities in both sports. I feel Bill Martin has done a great job and has been unfairly criticized in the past. I hope he continues to be our AD for many years to come.
Great point. Right after it was announced during the preseason game Jaworski said that McNabb would be pissed about that...which I don't understand at all. It's not as if Vick will even be considered for the starting quarterback role this year or probably even next if McNabb is healthy. I really hate Jaworski, the way he speaks is absolutely infuriating
Herbstreit is also a great Herbstreit is also a great resource whether it be for inside information on a breaking story or advice on fire insurance
you could try 810 as well you could try 810 as well
someone should just take the someone should just take the sheet metal and then do a cash for clunkers with the rest of the van. get yourself something brand new and then pimp that ride with the autographed sheet metal. i'm pretty sure xzibit could find the time in his busy schedule to help out

My dad always told me My dad always told me Illinois didn't like us because they thought we turned them in for recruiting violations back in the 1980s under Bo. The kid they were recruiting ended up at Michigan so they assumed we were the culprits. I'm not sure if anything ever came of it or if this can be confirmed but I think that is where I heard their hatred of Michigan started. On another note, the idea of everyone hating Michigan was on full display when I was at the Big Ten tournament a few years ago. When a school's fans were shown on the video screen all other fans of the school would begin cheering as well, with little or no reaction from fans of other schools. This continued on until they eventually showed a guy in a Michigan sweatshirt and the entire place started booing. Ironically, I've never been happier to be a Michigan fan. It was awesome.
agreed this has bothered me for awhile and they all seem very immature and lame. Also, I've never really understood the 'Walmart Wolverine' insult. I understand the idea that it's Michigan fans with no affiliation to the school who supposedly buy their jerseys from Walmart but if they have no affiliation to us (or I'm assuming to MSU) doesn't it say something that they decide to support Michigan? When given the option, wouldn't someone always choose the option they thought was 'better'? I'm not trying to be a dick it just doesn't make sense to me. Plus it's not even an insult to actual Michigan grads. Maybe I'm just missing something here
not an alum but... i think Jeff from Saved by the Bell (the one who steals kelly from zack and bangs her out for an ep or two) transferred to UCLA from Michigan
