Seriously, what does that mean?

Sparty really was the bettter team through most of the 60's

I appreciate your comment…

I appreciate your comment and will respond as you are one of the very few on this board who doesn't that he has a genetic connection to Will Rogers. Of course they probably don't know who Will Rogers is because he is not on Twitter (X).  Look, I'm old at 79, have B and Law School Degrees and find funny stuff well, funny. It still is amazing to me that Blogs begat verbal and keyboard diarrhea, but who really needs that shit?  I am more amused than bothered by the responses:   who and why (hey sport, click on Google)......RMCB is a left turn at the landfill (haha I shat my pants at that ome)....User name checks out (who does that and do they get more points for being the first to point that out)?

But then, a lot of the other comments were in fact humorous and i know know that Bill Bonds went to Denby,

The bottom line though is that the continuous stupid attempts at humor causes one to look at the alternative, don't you think?

I sincerely apologize for my…

I sincerely apologize for my lack of knowledge regarding items of interest to football fans in the State of Michigan.

Ed Budde was a very big deal in Michigan for about eight years from 1952 to 1960.  I was at a table with several members of the 1948-1949 UM Football Team earlier a few years ago and his name came up in the conversation.  Howard Cooper, a local new car dealership was the team manager of those teams. It was an item of conversation because they were discussing the difference in physical sizes of football players then and now.  Some of those former Michigan players were less than 6-feet tall and weighed less than 175 pounds and Ed Budde was a big guy.

Didn’t more than 70% of the posters here opined to fire our current coach? That's genius.

He wasn’t sick...he caught cancer

I was not aware that my post was so out of line with with the hilarious and/or informative posts of other readers here and I apologize again for stepping out of bounds, but hmm, remember to buy those Omaha Steaks as another post advised.  They can last two years in a freezer.

Hey, it’s the cocktail hour so pound a few down and really get on me…gin works best for that shit.

Your time commitment is great.

Wow, did you ever miss the point.  Did UM think they were problems or no good?  They hired them because of their success at the previous team and they didn't work for us.

Who said Riley was bad? Pretty dopey.

Would love to see up play…

Would love to see up play Cincinnati!

Wasn't there some bitter dialogue between Harbaugh and Fickell after the James Hudson transfer?  Hudson's transfer waiver was denied by the NCAA and Fickell tried to blame Harbaugh as I recall.

That is a stunning hire. …

That is a stunning hire.  How many coaches has USC been through since Pete Carroll left after the 2009 season?  Lane Kiffin, Ed Orgeron, Steve Sarkisian, and Clay Helton.

The have a winner with Lincoln Riley.

We are so fortunate: Rich Rod, Brady Hoke and Jim Harbaugh.  I sure hope that he stays as long as he desires.

Our quarterback situation is resolved.

Go Blue!

Matt Campbell?  His Iowa…

Matt Campbell?  His Iowa State Cyclones were ranked in the Top 10 at the beginning of this season.

Not so much this year, finishing with a record of 7 - 5 and not even in the Top 25.

I didn't understand the love affair with him 12 months ago and still don't.

I have the uppermost respect…

I have the uppermost respect for so many of the folks on this site who seem to have a substantial knowledge of football, certainly more than me.

However, the gang bang of Harbaugh at the end of last year exposed a lack of knowledge in this matter.  Most of them wanted Matt Campbell, whose Iowa State Cyclones were ranked in the Top Ten at the beginning of the year.  Not so much in the season, finishing 7 - 5 and not ranked in the Top 25.

Hell yes, Am I with you!  All the fucking geniuses on this site who obviously don't know shit about football post many times each day about their knowledge.

Concordia University is…

Concordia University is hosting The Moving Wall today.  It is the half-size, very impressive replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC.  Other exhibits are also on display.  How cool to see this at such a small college and a great lesson for the young students.

Ann Arbor had so many men who served in World War 2, many of whom are buried in Botsford Cemetery.  Most of them have passed on, but we have been the beneficiaries of so many good stories from the older gentlemen in that epic battle that truly saved our democracy.  My father-in-law was a Double-ace Pilot and Purple Star recipient in WW2.  The Yankee Air Museum in Belleville, which has all of his metals, is a wonderful place to visit for a few hours.

Yes!

I guess those hedge fund boys didn't watch the terrific Eddie Murphy movie "48 Hours."  The joy of it all.  Those hedge fund guys, who produce no products and only move money are the assholes buying $40 million homes in Beverly Hills and condos in New York.

Really?  You're not going to…

Really?  You're not going to watch any more if we  lose?

I'm a fan.  Fans watch and don't declare their petty intentions of watching or not.

We've lost so many players to the NFL draft and transfer portal.  We don't have the depth to overcome those losses on defense and the OL.

Look at IU against OSU today...IU is clearly a better team than our youthful guys without much experience.

Disproven? Really?

If a doctor stuck his finger into my anus at 18 years of age my response would have been WTF?

Rachel Denholder has become somewhat of the champion of large institutions abusing athletes and covering it up.

It seems as if this…

It seems as if this situation is not much different than the OSU fondling of the wrestling team that occurred in 1996 -98, when U.S. Representative Jim Jordan was an assistant coach.  Strangely, Rep Jordan does not remember any of this occurrence.  Dr. Strauss, the OSU team physician purportedly asked a team player to drop his pants when he had a thumb injury.  The player left the room, but it is alleged that Dr. Strauss sexually abused 177 male students over a 20-year period.  Young men reported to Rep. Jordan and the head coach but there was no further investigation until recently when 43 former students and student athletes filed a law suit against OSU.  Dr. Strauss drugged and performed sex acts that the students were not aware of until after such occurred.  There was even oral sex in the shower similar to the Jerry Sandusky Penn State situation.

The facts are that both team doctors would fondle genitals and penises while sometimes penetrating anuses with their fingers.

No Michigan student reported actual sexual activity by Dr. Anderson.  Many former coaches and UM administrators remembered anything negative about him.  Notwithstanding such memory loss, a former wrestler called Dr. Anderson a “serial molester.”

The interesting aspect of the Michigan and OSU cases is that the young men must have thought that such activity was wrong, but they joked about it and only a handful actually complained about it until recently.  I don’t recall any physician poking around my rear until the age where doctors start looking for prostrate issues.

Social acceptance was much different in the 1970’s through 1990’s.  Some young women that we know told friends’ parents of sexual molestation by their fathers, but those parents would not believe the reports.  It seems that grownups would not believe that a lawyer or doctor in their community would molest their daughter.  Today?  Yes, we believe.

Something was horribly wrong at Michigan and OSU and the Michigan administration is no different in the lack of taking appropriate measures to cease the actions of the pervert doctors.  There is no excuse for not having full and complete investigations at any time with reports of this nature.

The Sparty Nasser situation was entirely different.  First, the young girls were too young and naïve to believe anything was wrong, though some of them reported the instances to their parents who refused to believe it.  Secondly, the penetration was beyond sickening.  Third, the Nasser gambit was covered up by many other coaches and administrators, all the way up to Sparty’s goofy president with the round glasses who, by the way, will receive $750,000 per year until death does she depart.  Lastly, the Michigan administrators seemed to take some action as opposed to Sparty simply brushing the Nasser ploy under the carpet forever, until it exploded due to news reports of the incidents.

No one performed up to their…

No one performed up to their capabilities, but at the end of the day who is ultimately responsible?

The guy running the show.  It does not look as if Jim Harbaugh is the guy to bring this team to a championship contending status.  One can debate that issue all night, but one thing is obvious:

UM is not getting what it paid for.  He is paid at the top of the scale for coaches but not delivering what the fanbase wants.

I'm not one to support "Fire…

I'm not one to support "Fire the coach" but it really doesn't appear as if Harbaugh is the guy anymore.

He doesn't seem to have a clue.  WTF with the call on the fumble? First possession.........it turned the game into a rout in one series.

Where the fuck is the new guy offense?

I can smell it from Ann Arbor.

Thanks for the reference.

Thanks for the reference.

The extent to which administrators at  OSU have gone to, and probably will continue into the future, to ensure that it has a good football team is remarkable.

It says something about the commitment to academic quality and ethics standards at OSU.

Love on a sports blog....I just don't know.

One suspects that you are here to poke some daggers at UM while trying to inject some humor.

What is is, but a buckeye spending substantial time on its biggest revival?  I just don't know.

You are so right. How did Smith survive the other shitstorms?

He would have been fired by virtually every other school at any level.

I'll Take

A 3* any day of the week with the potential to turn out like Khaleke Hudson or Josh Metellus.

Our coaching staff seems to make some of these guys turn out to be fabulous players.  It's up to the kid once he gets here.

Those are Bad

Psychological issues to encounter on an individual basis.

Dealing with all three is a mountain too high to climb and it's ashame that this was the end result.

We lost a good Wolverine fan.

Not so

One of the best defenses in the USA.

OL is going to really show up this year.

WR & TE........show me a better group.

QB the issue, all three could be very good with OL.

IMO

One of the best posts ever........

My Hero

Way to go Rob "F"

Dude?

Thanks WD.

Cornholio

Is one of the greatest adjectives of all time.

Thanks to All Responders

Really.

I didn't intend this to be a lordy lordy am I ever pissed off OP.  Rather, th o the contrary it was a somewhat tongue-in-cheek post...........I should have started it by saying "Holy shit!"  But hey, my bad.

This shows the poison in any written word.  "Outrageous" can obviously be interpreted in many different ways, serious to funny.

The humorous posts were om a scale of funny to hilarious  I will have to upvote those.  That is what I enjoy most about MGoBlog.  Some you should be comedy writers.

Then some of you advised me to not take it too seriously.  Thanks but I find the Sparty to UM relationship chippy for the most part.  I gotta admit though that I have grown to really and seriously dislike Izzo and Grumpy.  What a couple of subpreme assholes.  My feelings are not as seriously hateful as that of some bloggers.  I get that; very cool but not my boat.

Were there some nasty posts?  I don't remember, but maybe.

Down votes are what they are; an indication that one didn't like the post.  Again, okay in my book.

Whatever, but most of all, Go Blue!

Errr.......WD

"Dude" became an uncool term about when you where in grade school.

Okay, I get it, you love to neg-bag........it's the most cool thing in your life.

But perhaps you might get in tune with the current lexicon.

Thank You

For being the first to notice.

Part of my point.

But some here love to gang-neg. It appears to be infectious.

Yep

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon

Yikes

Been there..........one of the great vacation spots in the world except that the natives seem to have an identity crisis almost daily.

Oh well, Dilly Dilly.

Great Achievement

Even though out classing Sparty is not that hard to do.

Of Course

Dilly Dilly

What a Nice Man

Met him once in Trader Joes.

He coaches the kids upp every year.

Can't wait to see what he does with more talent.
