If I remember correctly, the OL performance (of several teams) was analyzed based on position and experience. When it was posted here, it showed that LG-C-RG positions were much more representative of OL perforamnce than the LT-RT positions.
edit: also got to mention Cole at LT played light's out this year for being a FR

I'm betting you never lived in the south. Let's put it this way: a followup to a hello is often followed by asking what church you go to.
|1 day 20 hours ago||Wait, so you already 'know'||
Wait, so you already 'know' from a previous thread where to go? You just wanted an update. Confused.
|2 days 12 min ago||Couldn't the opposite logic||
Couldn't the opposite logic be applied here? He's saying that he, Hackett, will make the decision. He's an interim. Since he doesn't know how long he'll be here, wouldn't that mean that he's likely going to make the decision sooner rather than later? And if sooner, wouldn't that mean giving Hoke the axe after the season? If he had it in him mind to keep Hoke, why wouldn't you offer him an extension now to help in recruiting? So I say most 'tea leaves' suggest 'he gone'.

Stealing a laptop is more than just stealing a pricey item. I had a friend in my Master's program who had his laptop stolen out of his car, which contained all his data from his lab. Despite my friend being an idiot for not backing it up... he lost everything and couldn't complete his degree. Not to mention all the pictures and other stuff that was sentimental. So you've got to also think of it as someone rifling through your DVD collection, your music CDs, your photo albums and just ganking all of it.

Yeah, I for one would like to get the calls the refs give to Duke all the freaking time just because they are "Duke". Wouldn't that be nice for a change.

I'd give my left kidney to rid the word "sucks" from the Michigan fan vocabulary. Especially the students'. Worst cheer ever.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Update||
"Eventually, White and Behm emerged victorious, with White as the leading vote getter (1,352,347 votes) and Behm just behind at 1,263,196 votes. In an election that tallied nearly 5.5 million votes, Behm squeaked past Weiser by a margin of just 4,835 votes." from MLIVE
4,835 votes! I honestly wonder if MGOBLOG and Brian's endorsement was the push that was needed to those roughtly 5k votes.

Definitely not the first post from VS. Surprised this is a new revelation for the OP

|3 weeks 5 hours ago||devil's advocate||
I'd almost argue if Drake Johnson gets 200+ yards a game from here on out that it would signify that the coaches NEED to be replaced. They've had DJ all season and it took injuries to the top 2 RBs on the depth chart to "see" his potential. So if that's the case, clearly the coaches are not doing their jobs properly.

Isn't he 0-13 in the SEC? Yeah, that just screams let's hire!
|3 weeks 2 days ago||How about we drop all the bad||
How about we drop all the bad PR that Brandon did and focus on one issue. He fired RR and hired Hoke. Terrible decision. Now he has paid the price for this with his own job.
|3 weeks 2 days ago||MSU, huh!?!||
How is MSU ranked so high? After listening to Brian and Ace's podcast, I was led to believe they would be much much worse this year.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Buy his silence||
Everyone is missing article number 9. This 'resignation' and payout is essentially buying his silence. Very common in industry. This prevents him from writing a book, talking about it in the papers, etc. Break-up is squeaky clean and this prevents us from getting further "hurt" by D"MF"Brandon.

Can you trust the kickstarter when the last item of 'how to order' is this:
" We will email you a confirmation at the end of the Kickstarter sale (ends June 11, 2014), and let you know your expected delivery. We will begging delivering as soon as July, and complete all orders by mid-September."
|4 weeks 1 day ago||BS reason||
I call BS on 'speargate' for the reason they went for the TD. They didn't go for the TD... they ran the ball on all downs. If they had been truely going for running up the score they would have passed. An MSU buddy with me also said, "watch Dantonio just keep running the ball. He always does at the end of a game. It's the attitude of, we're going to run it, you just have to stop us"
|5 weeks 3 days ago||Had to neg only b/c...||
Sorry, had to neg, only b/c of this
From everything we've read, this was not his terminology. This was medical jargon that he was told and is being repeated verbatim. Why are people so hung up on this?
But I'm in agreement with most other things you've mentioned. He's been treeting Mich football as a product line from a company and not an actual athletic team. I do have to wonder though, why have we mostly seen negatives impacts with the football team and not basketball? (minus the STUPID bball student ticket package policy)

I had the same thought but when I added it all up, they would lose like $5 million. And that's no chump change
|5 weeks 4 days ago||He's in EL today||
Batman is in EL today, filming the new Batman vs Superman movie (ugh, sigh, out of ideas). They are at the new(ish) museum on Grand River and it's all blocked off for filming tonight. If and when I see him on the streets, I'll ask him to go to AA for the team.
|6 weeks 3 days ago||I think they need to redefine||
I think they need to redefine clutch.
"Jazz were surprisingly good in clutch game situations games in 2013-14, going 9-7 in games decided by five points or less."
So you're saying when the score was nearly tied towards the end of a game, they won about 50% of the time (56% exactly). Law of averages, man, low of averages. This is nothing special.
Also, could they use the word "game" any more?
|6 weeks 4 days ago||Little off topic but I'd||
Little off topic but I'd rather not start a new thread. Just checked and the game will be on ESPN2 (which I don't get). Instead of showing it on ABC, they are showing NASCAR. Yes, that's right, we are so irrelevant and unwatchable that they are putting NASCAR over us. Sigh. /weeps in corner

|7 weeks 4 days ago||Oh dear Lord. The||
Oh dear Lord. The confederate paper currency had slaves working in the fields on them? That is absurdly in poor taste, I would think, even for that time.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||reasonable explanations||
I can understand not wearing a headset. You could argue that "the headset constrains my hearing on the field, and I'd like to be able to hear what's going on around me and on the field in more clarity". OR "I like to move up and down the sidelines and with a headset I just can't do that".
But that makes me wonder, what exactly does Brady Hoke do? Presumably he doesn't call the offensive plays, Nuss does. Presumambly Mattison calls most of the defensive playcalls. So what exactly does Hoke do? I thought he was more of an 'interact with the players' type of coach and decision-making (when to go for it on 4th down, when to call a timeout). But from everything we've seen that aspect of the game calling has FAILED miserably. So many wrong choices. And if he's not calling plays, then he how in the heck did he not see the Shane hit? Sure he could miss it live. But it's not like he's calling in the next play, he MUST HAVE SEEN the replay on the jumbotron. Everyone in the stands did.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||surprisingly..||
At least from 2002-2003, ticket prices are relatively the same. I remember tickets being ~$20 per ticket and when I adjusted for inflation it ended up being about the same price students pay today.
