Favorite on field memory of 2023? The Don breaking for two bursts into the end zone in Q1 NCAA Championship.  I needed it, you needed it, we all needed it.

On field moment that angered you of 2023? Ummm, I don't know that I was really angered at any point this season.  This was the first that I never doubted this team in any game.

Biggest surprise player of 2023? Makari Paige

Favorite feature of MgoBlog? The Board

Is 15 yards in a single game…

Is 15 yards in a single game for DOG a record?

Where all the Gerg faith…

TE insurance policy?  TE…

TE insurance policy?  TE depth has been huge this year.

It's not like JT was short.

It's not like JT was short.

I can't think of a reason…

I can't think of a reason for this not to happen.  I hope it's drawn up and executed for ohio.

This is what happens when everyone does their job, staff and players.  They all have a lot to be proud of.

I was really hoping you…

I was really hoping you would insert the "Stop It, Get Some Help" gif, but alas I leave disappointed.

Thanks for the heads up. …

Thanks for the heads up.  That link will stay blue.

I propose a toast...

To Greg Mattison.  Every Michigan football fan owes Mattison a debt of gratitude as a hero of the Michigan coaching staff since the Brady Hoke era.  He was an excellent coordinator and has been outstandng as DL coach.  The DL has by far been the strongest position group since he's been with the program.  I truly do not know where we'd be without him.

Oh lawd...

2017 do-over?

Agreed.

Nothing makes sense.  I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Picking up...

What you're putting down. Still a classic.

That's in the article...

Michigan called for Offensive holding 9 times in '17 conference play. OSU & PSU once each in the same period. Fair? Accurate?

Seems like Speight...

Recognized he had a much tougher spring in front of him.  Coming off a serious injury.  Up against a very talented pair of JH recruited QB's...One of which with a few games under his belt with solid performance.  If he came to the conclusion that he had a better chance to start elsewhere, he's probably right.  Much respect to him though...He held his own through the majority of 2016 and early 2017.

And!!!!!

Someone on the sidelines in our very own Michigan Stadium hit JT Barrett in the knee with a camera...Don't worry, Urban will conclude his investigation soon and we will all breathe a sigh of relief.

I will credit Haskins for the win...

Didn't seem to miss a beat with JT going down.  But that throw seemed more luck than skill.  The coverage was pretty tight, I certainly would have advised against tossing that one up and risking an INT at that point in the game.

Perfect...

Analogy.

It's difficult, but...

I'll reserve judgements on Pep like incompetent and lunacy. WR's were complicated this season, and we burned thru 3 starting QB's. I'd be game to see what he can do with some returning starters at both positions as well as an improved OL. Speight had his issues, but he was there in 2016 when we needed him and had a pretty good season for his first year starting, exceptions being Iowa and OSU.

Time of possession...

Was 32 min for OSU, and 28 min for UofM. Fatigue is the excuse now?

Fielded great defense...

For 2.5 quarters against UW. And for 1 quarter vs OSU. And let a RS FR backup lead OSU to 17 pts in less than 1 half. Methinks his stats may be padded from playing lesser competition. PSU, UW, OSU found a way to get it done. We can blame MSU on the monsoon if it makes everyone feel better.

OP is right...

Lock him in long term. Can't say that I agree with every single Harbaugh decision, but he is and always has been essentially a perfect fit for head coach at Michigan. This is a tough year, but we will be competing for titles soon and we'll all feel better knowing that he's committed to Michigan, and Michigan is committed to him.

Agreed...

Pretty sure the refs knew that we were on our 3rd QB this season, could use a little help protecting our players.

Who is sticking up for them?

Seriously. I can't recall anybody doing that. Was pretty sure that every objective fan is of the opinion that they along with Frey should go elsewhere.

True...

Their receivers made some clutch catches, even the one that was turned over.

Couldn't tell if it was the whole game...

but looked like Harbaugh was calling plays. Where I come from, if your boss is doing your job for you that says he doesn't need you. They should all be at risk, Drevno, Pep, and Frey.

I don't recall...

Peters being pressured or running for his life much. I do recall lots of missed blocking assignments and him eventually getting destroyed. Think that's more coaching. I'm cool with getting beefed and angry though too.

Please...

Nice guy, but I can't take anymore if the O'Korn show.

Sick of the young players argument...

Other teams can win with young, inexperienced players. Offense looked all out of sorts in the first half. And ineffective in the 2nd. I get errors, drops, etc.. from young players...But we were outcoached again.

Wisky player drove him into the ground...

Not okay for Mo Hurst, ok for UW.

Had a shot at half time...

Then halfway thru the 3rd gave them the momentum they needed.

This...

Barrett's is the best I've ever had in the Kalamazoo/Portage area.

How much

roster turnover did MSU have this year? They found a way to get it done on a rivals home field.

We did...

McCaffrey (ok, high 4 star). Although if Peters is the yardstick, will take 3-4 years to develop him into a starter...Even though other programs can get freshmen to start effectively.

Thanks for this...

Good read.  Not that OSU fans should obsess over their record with Meyer, but see the legitimacy in an OSU offense being stagnant particularly in absence of a QB with the ability to deliver down the field.

Have been waiting a long time...

For Isaac to prove himself a solid back.  Was very excited when he transferred thinking that as a former 5 star he would soon become a starter.  Very happy to see him stick with it and work hard to fight for carries.  Concerned with tendencies to go down on 1st contact, but if he can continue with the YPC we've seen thus far no worries here.

Same phone...

Same problem. Any meta help?

Kzoo!

Solid choice!

Thanks for posting JWG

Really great to see JUB recognize this extraordinary event. It was truly special. Fantastic turnout, lots of student, alumni, and fan participation...Not to mention former player/professionals put on a great show. Scott and his family were blown away by the support shown by everyone. Yours hurt the most. Neg.

I want to OWN the line of scrimmage...

On both sides of the ball.  Really like all of the skill position recruits, but I'll take more beef up front please.

Forever a Wolverine...

Larry is as tough as anyone to wear the maize and blue.  Great to see the support from the Mgo community!

Great event...

for a great cause. Nice to see fellow mgobloggers show support for Scott and his family. Very much looking forward to attending and seeing some legendary players for both the University of Michigan and the Detroit Red Wings.
