Based upon the recent reporting, it is clear to me that Michigan will be willing to spend significantly more money clearing its name than the B1G will want to spend prosecuting it.
It's easier/cleaner/cheaper to punt this back to the NCAA and let the investigation die out with a Stalions show cause and some Level 2 violations in a couple years.
Any non-negotiated penalty prior to due process running it’s course requires Michigan to take appropriate action including, but not limited to litigation and possibly leaving the conference.

The Marine Corps falls under the purview of the Navy. All Naval Academy Midshipmen have the option of joining either the Navy or Marines. IIRC, they have to choose sometime in their 2nd or 3rd year.

I believe anything truly damaging would've been leaked by the NCAA or B1G at this point... considering everything that has leaked so far.
