"The University of Illinois is also in turmoil. The university sports an Interim Chancellor, an Interim Athletic Director, and an Interim Football Coach; the game will be played at Soldier Field, making this an Illini Interim Home Game."

... Then watch the sparty meltdown.
|6 weeks 2 days ago||We are rapidly approaching SNL territory here||
Insert Harbaugh into Da Bears skits in place of Ditka:
So... Who wins a game when a team full of Jim Harbaughs coached by Bo faces off against a team of Michigan legends coached by Jim Harbaugh...
Are the Jim Harbaughs full sized or miniature?
Full sized, except for coach Jim Harbaugh who is a tiny Jim Harbaugh.
Well, that's easy then - Harbaugh!

Take over DC duties while Jon ascends to the top job.
Would be a good story for him to turn the page.

Brady's older brother.
If true, best of luck to him.
|6 weeks 5 days ago||This Harbaugh guy and his staff might be good.||
Let's keep them around.

Fans are very happy with the defense.
All hail harbaugh!

Have the band and cheerleaders revived the rockey and bullwinkle dance? There was a time... A long, long, long time ago when too many games were blowouts by the second half that a subsection of the band would circle the stadium and play the bullwinkle theme song and we danced like drunken idiots with our hands on our heads as antlers...probably because we were drunken and idiots... If the band and cheerleaders have brought this back, then I'll approve OPs message.

'The Martian' started life as a blog and was written chapter by chapter with input from the blog's readers - some of whom were top notch thinkers in space science.
So it is entirely plausible that one of them was familliar with the work out of the OLDEST and FINEST Aerospace Engineering department in the USA.
More on that story here:
Unfortunately Prof Buning retired before I could take his class.

Local radio confirmed this am that it was a fight between girlfriend and ex-girlfriend.
I think the booster needs to take off his scarlet colored glasses. This will not end well for Caroo
|10 weeks 19 hours ago||View from New Brunswick||
Don't shoot the messenger... But a big time Rutgers booster I talked to is convinced that Caroo was defending his mom from a crazed ex-girlfriend during this incident.
Also, if the rest of the sewage which is recent RU athletics did not exist, he thought that this incident would not even have cracked the natl' media.
Now, the same guy swore that Flood was a super upstanding guy, so take it with a sack of salt.

We absolutely should schedule another home and home with Utah to even the record. In a year or two we will be at full Harbaugh.
We were never going to win the National Championship this year... Losing a tough game on the road is the kind of experience which Harbaugh needs to get the team's attention. A win over a tomato can would not have demonstrated to the team how far we still have to go.
|12 weeks 5 hours ago||Lots of LTT? And plenty of time to get better.||
Was it just me, or was LTT in at left tackle a whole bunch with Cole over at RT? Might be an indication that Mags could not handle the size of the Somoans in Utah's front 7 or maybe Mags got hurt.
I think this team will build nicely over the season and take off once we get to the Drake at RB.
Remember, the useless nuts lost their first game last year as they broke-in a new OL, but got better the rest of the way. Now, I'm not saying we'll win the Natty, but the team is already better in game one under Harbaugh than they were in year four of Hoke and they'll keep getting better.
|13 weeks 7 hours ago||Parallels||
If this staff can do for offense what Mattison and the last staff did for defense... without doing to the defense what the staff before them did... then...
.. oh crap, let's just get the season here already
|13 weeks 5 days ago||As your last pick...||
Sure, but at his current ADP I can't see it.
He has all the potential in the world and an open track to a heavy workload... But he did at UM as well and never put it all together (even in light of the tire fire around him). I'd punt on him at his current price.
But I'm buying Denard in round 13 or later.
|13 weeks 5 days ago||Listen to reason||
Given your short timeframe and the importance of the funds, you should be conservative.
A saving account is a little too safe for my taste, but a mix of tax-free municipal bonds and corporate bonds (you should be able to find a mutual fund like this) should beat inflation while limiting risk.
The stock market can move too much in 2 years for your purpose... If your horizon were 10 years or more, like a college savings 529 plan for a young child, then stocks would be the way to go.
And no matter what, don't by a Rolex and expect its value to go up. Only one class of tangible asset has a good track record of appreciation - and that is real estate, as you just experienced. But no class of assets is without risk, even government bonds (See: Michigan, Detroit)
* I'm not a financial planning professional, so take my advice with a bucket of salt, but I do have a UM MBA and think about this type of stuff a fair amount.
Good luck and congrats on the recent profit.

I was admitted years ago off the wait list the week before classes began.
As hard as you might work, just remember the law school students are working 2X as hard (I had room mates there).
And there are only two grades at the end of b-school: job or no job, so enjoy the experience.

I know one person (not me) who quit their lucrative Wall Street job to spend a few tours in Iraq. Unless you served, don't be lol'ing at those who did.
Fact is a very small percentage of our nation has now served in the military (not just Wall Street types) and far too many of us have become disconnected from their sacrific in war and peacetime.
I'm glad I did my five years in the Navy, but my time was easy compared to the OP and all those who served in combat - thanks to all the MGoVeterns out there.
